AWFUL! Everyone I came into contact with at Coastal is awful. My dog was diagnosed with heart worm and the vet gave me a printout on the treatment they were going to do and rushed me out the door. They never discussed options, didnt educate me on protocols, and made me think treatment had to start immediately so I didnt have time to look into other options. The person at the desk then scheduled the treatment on the wrong dates, despite me telling her what the vet had said. I had to call 3x then go into the vet in person to get them to change the date of the treatment to match the protocol given to me by the vet. There was so much miscommunication between everyone in that office. I called with questions and the vet never called me back, I finally got a call back from a tech a week later that wasnt able to answer my questions. Also, many times that I called with questions I was told by whoever answered the phone that they dont have the information I needed and acted irritated that I called. Once I called around other vets I realized that Coastal was not providing my dog with quality care as they only gave him 1 heart worm test before rushing treatment, they did not offer any x-rays or blood work, which I was told by all other places was standard and safe practice. And they are overpriced for the terrible quality of services they provide. They do not care about your animals, they care about getting people in and out and making money. I will NEVER take my dog back there. I am disgusted with the "care" that was provided by them.

I,m surprised to see postive reviews of this clinic. The doctor who saw my cat, Dr. Resetarits charged me for a complete exam -she never weighed my cat, never checked his ears, or took his temperature. Since I had just moved from Florida.I did give her the medical history for my cat. My cat has suffered from hair loss due to anxiety. He had been treated by my vet with Amitriptylian. Dr. Resetarits prescribed a new medication that she thought would work better. She prescribed a medication used for asthma, and also used as an appetite stimulant. At check out, the girl acted as if she was put out, when I asked her about the medication. She came back and said , "no it was the right medicine." When I got home I discovered I had a prescription that said "Jolly, dog " -wrong medicine, and wrong animal. I returned, and was treated in a curt manner, and given the prescribed medicine. It was a medicine for asthma. My cat never had asthma, nor did he need to have an appetite stimulant! Terrible staff and doctor. Find yourself anothr vet!

I am very surprised to hear that there are some unfavorable reviews posted. I have several friends that go see Dr Parker and they are all satisfied and happy. In fact thats how we came to go to the Coastal Vet Clinic. Our dog has had a problem which another vet through their hands up. Dr Parker found the problem and referred us to a Charleston clinic for more testing. We found that it was going to cost over $3k this is after an additional $5k vet bill we had earlier this year NOT at Coastal Vet Clinic but another local vet. Times are tough and we regrettably cant go through with the $3k testing and asked Dr Parker if there was anything else he could recommend. He offered to take another look (exploratory surgery) and try to resolve the issue at very little cost. The utmost care has always been provided for our pet. The staff in my experience are very very nice. They have all gone out of their way for my dog and me. It is nice to see friendly smiling faces when we go.

I have nothing good to say about my last visit with Dr. Parker. When he finally called me into the room, after an almost half hour wait, he was unapoligetic and seemed like I was bothering him. He hardly touched my dog for the exam and ran out of the room before I even got a chance to address my concerns. The extremely rude lady at the check out desk did not want to help answer any of my questions about the medication that Dr. Parker had prescribed. She practically yelled at me when I pressed to try to get some more information. I will NOT be taking my dogs back.

We moved here from the West Coast in May. We tried two other vets before we met the doctors at Coastal Vet. We have three dogs with various maladies. Our 12 year old Lab has arthritis and GI problems. Ben Parker and his staff have given us superior care in the visits we have made to the clinic. We feel fortunate to have found the high quality we are accustomed to. And the costs are very reasonable especially compared to what we paid in California.

Anyone can have a bad experience once, but to get the true measure of a business you need to be a repeat customer. Dr. Parker and his staff are excellent at what they do. Theyve been in the area for years and are always willing to answer questions if you come to them informed about your pets health. Theyve taken care of every pet (three dogs) Ive ever owned (15 yrs), and Ive never once thought about going somewhere else.

I have been taking my baby, Aubrey, to Coastal for a little over 5 years now. It was the first and only place I have taken her since moving here from the upstate. I wouldnt change it for anything. No matter when I call or how crazy my question is they always get me an answer and fast. I would highly recommend Coastal to anyone seeking a Vet for their "baby", and for more reasons then I have listed above.

We have several animals that we take here. My experience with all of the vets there have been great! The whole staff is always pleasant which makes me feel better about taking and leaving my dogs there. Sometimes i feel like the price is kind of high but my lil pups are worth every penny! I would recommend to anyone looking for a vet!

Used to be the best vet in Bluffton. Dr. Parker is still amazing but the new vets hes hired and staff are rude and non caring. I have switched to Bluffton Vet and not only are they nice and caring, prices are similar and its much cleaner and more pleasant than going to what used to be my family vet. Im sad to write this.

Dr Parker is the best vet Ive found, he was caring, compassionate and fully explained all options when we were going through an illness with our dog. Prices are also reasonable compared to other vets in the area
