My dog has a seizure on thanksgiving. He was 15 years old and the seizures didnt stop - they sent a tech to help get him out of the car and ran blood tests asap. We always knew his liver was compromised but they saw it had stopped working all together. They gave me honest options and advice and from there he was put down the next morning. All that night I called every hour to check on him and they never complained, always had his chart there when his last seizure occurred, how much meds were given and how he was resting. Never complained and was always up to date on the information. The vets (both the night and the morning) apologized profusely for not being able to do more and both were very saddened to have lost a patient. They went out of their way to find a quiet place outside to put him down. The vet even got emotional because he perked up and finally was aware of his surroundings once he was outside - he was himself again once he smelled the air and felt the sun while inside he was not coherent at all. They even wrapped his body and let me help so that I could transport him to be cremated at Twin Oaks. They were amazing.

$450 later, no diagnosis and I have requested the x-rays twice and have not received them. My dog is supposed to be on antibiotics for 3 weeks but the vet will only give me 1 week at a time until I make an appointment with the specialist they recommend (yes he actually told me until I make the appointment he will only give me 1 week at a time, cannot make this stuff up). They tell me their specialist will give me a discount because they send their clients there and I am guessing they get a kickback from the specialist. I have never had a vet hold out on medication until I make an appointment with the specialist they recommend and now I will get a second opinion from another vet and will have to pay for another set of x-rays. All this and add to that they were very rude and uneducated when it comes to a raw diet. Another vet there defended me when I was given a hard time because I feed my dog a raw diet. I was even accused of contaminating my family! I should of billed them instead of paying $450 for all this and I still dont know what is wrong with my dog. Uneducated crooks!

Was not upfront of TOTAL COST! Was told $250 for X-ray and visit w/o treatment. I said ok. showed me me X-ray of my cats broken hip (cat was able to walk, just limping a bit and pain if touched around the area) they recommended surgery at either 1 of 2 places . No problem there. Get to desk and now my total is over 100 dollars more than the original quote. They decided to give me 3 days of pain and anti inflammatory meds without my approval and waited until I was checking out to tell me ( already placed meds in my hand before telling price) Wtf $388 dollars later and didnt even treat my kitty. Weve opted for no surgery and to cage heal instead. So far my kitty is doing great , healing just fine! ( surgery is $1800 and theres no guarantee the kitty wont have limp and have issues) I think it wrong they just gave me meds and charged me over 100 for them without discussing the price to me. Also there are places that charge much less for XRAYs

Very dirty! The room was filthy that we were placed in. Used IV bag hanging in corner. Table that had scale on was so dirty it was thick with goop and hair. Hair all over floor, tufts of it blowing all around by fan. Brought for dog limp to back leg. vet checked dogs leg by feel. O.K. offered NSAIDS, OK , when asked about downside of NSAIDS told blows out kidneys and will need bloodwork. 200.00, needs xray 200.00, plus NSAID 100.00 = 500.00 Must come back to check kidney function as NSAIDS very bad on kidneys. HUH??? So I left and paid the 40 dollar visit fee. Came home, took a shower and gave the dog a bath. I will keep him in his pen to rest his leg for a week and see. I would not go back there. There is NO excuse for dirty. EWWWW

This clinic used to be brag worthy. Dr. Grossman truly is brilliant and compassionate, but over the past few years there are new staff that do not match his kindness and intelligence. They are snarky over the phone and impatient. It is difficult enough having a pet who is in pain or ill, but having to deal with rude and unsympathetic people makes it far worse. Would not recommend to anyone who is concerned about the value of care received. Its also ridiculous how much they try to upsell products, like supplements that your pet may need. I was given a bunch of supplements that would benefit my pet and then when I got home and did more research on them, I discovered how overpriced they really were. Convenient hours, but at what cost?

I have been coming to Palms West Veterinary for over a DECADE, Dr. Grossman is the owner and has been taking care of my dogs for that long of time. He now has a dedicated staff and became a 24/7 hospital, This is the best thing that happened in Loxahatchee. You used would have to drive all the way to West Palm Beach to an emergency hospital by that time your animal wouldnt make it. There is not a bad comment to make about this Hospital or its staff. If you do feel you have to make a complaint you do so to Dr. Grossman and he takes care of the matter himself. This Doctor takes pride in his Hospital and his staff.

Emergency services diagnosis of pancreatitis of my suddenly ill Chihuahua saved his life. He was bléeding internally. He was in intensive care for 24 hrs. of IV meds . Home on special diet ,oral meds & rest helped him bounce back in a week. I cant thank Dr. Pierson enough for his time walking me through this frightful ordeal. Also special thanks to the 24 hr. Staff Support that cared for Chico and gave me updates at all hours , day or night. I recommend these professionals to anyone that loves their pet. They are busy but well staffed and will care for your animal as if it were their own.

Last time I went to Palms West vet emergency when one of my dogs had cut himself, I was told they cannot do the stitches because they are not "comfortable" so the dog was left with an open wound till 8am the next morning. I took him to "Community Animal Hospital of Royal Palm Beach" and they had no problem fixing his cut, now there is not even a scar left. By the way Palms West charged me full price for the visit exam etc.. Even they refused to help the dog.

This place saved my puppies life and I will forever be grateful. We had to rush my little chihuahua Tim to this hospital in the middle of the night while he was bleeding out due to a botched neutering from another vet. He was not in great shape but this place fixed him up perfectly. This place cares about animals and it is reflected with their affordable pricing and compassionate bed side manner. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING PALMS WEST!!!!!!
