I would not recommend this office. I took my senior cat here for a check up and the vet never once explained what they were doing to her. Whenever we asked a question or how much a procedure would cost, she would say - Well give you an estimate later. By the time we left the office our bill was almost $500 and my cat was diagnosed with a life threatening infection that would cost us another $1500 - 1700 to cure. After seeking a second opinion, we found out that the procedure would only cost us an average of $700 -including the testing that we had done - almost $1k less that what we were quoted here. I do not recomment, theyre only in it for the money.

The Squad

Overpriced and ignorant staff. Everytime I call them they have no answers except "just bring your dog in and we can let the doctor take a look." They just want that entrance fee ($200 just to walk in the door). Always check your bill before they do the procedures, too. They did a C-section on my dog and the first estimate was $3000. Then after I told them that was ridiculous they came back with $2600 bill. I told them I wanted to see what all I was being charged for and after I looked over the bill they had added $1200 in unnecessary costs. I wouldnt take my dog there unless it was life or death.

Dr. Michele Pietrzak is absolutely fantastic. She truly cares about the well being of the animals and their owners. She was my vet for 12.5 years and never let us down. She was their for us through end. She always treated my dog as if it was her own which meant so much. The staff there is so kind and they truly enjoy being there. They are helpful in every way that they are able. I would always recommend this facility and Dr. Michele Pietrzak! I have nothing but kind words for them all.

We recently had our little yorkie get into the trash and eat turkey bones! When we realized what happened and how sick he was, we called VCA Met Vet West. They were very caring and concerned on the phone and told us to bring him in. While we were there, everyone was very kind and concerned about his condition. The Vet took gentle care of our little guy. Luckily all turned out good and he has fully recovered. We love VCA Met Vet West!

Went in for a first visit. The staff and doctor were extremely friendly. Office is well laid out and the waiting room is spacious. As I was leaving a woman came in with a dog who couldnt stand. The staff immediately went to get a stretcher and assist getting the dog out of the vehicle. I thought that was absolutely awesome. Very glad I chose to bring my dog here.

I find this facility over priced, and not able to treat an animal without breaking the bank. I have a 3 year old cat that I have spent several hundreds of dollars on the same meds over and over and over and my cat is no better. Staff is young and lacking experience, prices should afford you a vet with a solid background and some skill. I wont recommend.

Had such an incredible experience. My dog needed emergency stomach surgery. They were able to take her right away, I received pictures and text messages from the Dr. Herself knowing that my dog was in such great care. I was able to visit her whenever I wanted. A great facility with wonderful people. I highly recommend it.

Weve been taking our pets the Met Vet for years and have always had courteous, wonderful service. This is an emergency hospital as well, so be aware you might have your appointment bumped back if someone comes in. Weve been on the other end with emergencies before and truly appreciate all that they do.

One of the cats we are fostering was sick last week. This office is 7 mins from my home. We got there at 7:40pm and they turned us away as they were closing @ 8pm. They told us to go to the ER on Camp Horne Road. I wont go to Met Vet again. We were very upset.

We were trying to get a charge reversed and I was told the office manager was to busy to take my call or return my messages. The lady answering the phone was very rude as well. I would never take a pet here.

Very good staff who loves their patients and went out of their way to squeese me in for an emergency. They did everything they could to make me and my dog comfortable. Would visit again.
