This recommendation is based on my wifes and my experience at the Strand Spine Institute. First impressions are important and their office has a low country spa appeal and all the staff go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and welcomed. The doctors use state of the art equipment and explain everything before, during and post treatment. My wife and I have had prior experience with several other Chiropractors so we had the expectation of a fairly long period before we noticed and noticible relief from our symptoms. Both of us had different issues, I had prior damage from an automobile accident , a fall and next and shoulder pain each a deprecate source of pain. My wife had Sciatica and pins and needles in her hands and feet plus neck degeneration. To our surprise after the first treatment we both experienced immediate relief. Our MD Doctor had suggested a Rheumatologist for treatment. For the first time in a number of years I no long need a pain pill for the chronic pain, just an ice pack on the pain area. Although the spine takes a long period of treatment to be corrected, it is a great feeling to wake up and touch your toes without grimacing. So if your suffering back or neck problems it is worth your time to have an initial visit we this wonderful doctors and judge for yourself. It sure beats pain pills and harsh prescription meds that have nasty side affects. And who knows what other health issues they may be able to fix as your nervous system that runs through your spine controls so many other body functions. I hope this review helps in your decision.

There is an alternative treatment to knee replacement that your orthopedic surgeon will never tell you about because his practice doesnt offer it. The treatment is simple, pain-free, non-invasive, and it works! Class IV K-Laser treatment. I had done a lot of research about it while I lived in Cincinnati but it wasnt offered there. I am so thankful to have found the Strand Spine Institute!! They offer this treatment and it is delivered by doctors who know what they are doing and who have your best health interest in mind. They take a holistic approach and develop a level of trust I have never experienced before. Dr. Eric Parada is my doctor and I recommend him and Dr. Fico wholeheartedly. Their staff is courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Class IV K-laser also works for other joints in the body. Before you consider surgery, give the Strand Spine Institute a try. Your good health depends on it! Thanks SSI and Dr. Eric for all you are doing to make my life better!! You are the best!

Had a back twisting/smashing experience while on the Appalachain Trail. Made it the next few miles to the next road and found a hotel to evaluate the pain and discomfort after a day and not feeling better opted to return home not to do more damage. A day later was in Dr. Ficos office on my way to recovery, with listening and following his advice and the adjustments my back snapped back into shape. Now all Ive got to do is find the time and get back out there and concur the AT, this time stopping and looking back not looking back while walking. My experience at Strand Spine Institue has always been top notch from everyone there, Im always looking forward to getting my email telling me I have an appointment coming up.

I was a passenger in a terrible car accident and had several compression fractures in my spine as well as damage to my ribs and neck. When I arrived at Strand Spine Institute I could barely walk and was in a great deal of pain. Slowly Dr. Fico, and the excellent support staff at SSI, put me back together using their depth of knowledge, expertise and the finest care offered on the Grand Strand. The attention to detail and their comprehensive approach to overall health made for an ideal healing process. I would recommend them highly to anyone, whether injured or not. The care offered should be a way of life for all.

The staff at Strand Spine Institute feels like family, you always feel welcomed and valued as a patient. I first sought out chiropractic treatment after a sports injury several years ago, and have since been joined by my husband and son. Both Dr Fico and Dr Parada are brilliant and able to discuss and treat every ailment my family has experienced. We continue to visit for preventive maintenance and being athletic there is always an issue. The entire office, including Christy and Lisa are genuine, sincere and make the office a pleasant place to visit.

Dr. Fico is awesome. He found issues the issues I had without me even having to show him where. In just 4 appointments, I already have done a complete 180 and feel so much better. I still have a long way to go but definetly feel so much better. Its one of those things, you didnt realize how bad it was until after a couple adjustments how much better you feel! I have been a patient of Strand Spine for many years, and will say emphatically that they are the most competent, advanced, and friendly chiropractic office I have ever been to, ...and Ive been to a lot! I called their office this morning in terrible back pain, and Christy got me right in. After a chiropractic adjustment, icing, and laser therapy, I feel 100% better. Back issues dont get fixed in a day (Im going back tomorrow) but if you follow their advice, you will probably come out ahead!

I had been experiencing constant, chronic pain for over 5 years and had tried multiple chiropractors, medicine and doctors but nothing helped. What impressed me the most with Strand Spine Institute was the thoroughness of my examination, that the diagnoses was explained to me, and that I was a partner in the treatment. The biggest surprise? They also do pediatric chiropractic. I was reading about neck and spine problems young people are having due to texting, playing video games, using tablets, etc. I took my 6 year grandson for a “check-up.” He loved his adjustment and talked for DAYS about how good his neck felt!

Dr Fico has help my mother above and beyond adjustments. The first time I met him he took one look at my Mom and sent us to the hospital. He takes such an interest in his patients that he could tell just by looking at her something was wrong. The people are friendly, the doctors well trained and professional and they will see you quickly. No long waits. They have relieved more of my pain than any other pain center.
