We are farmers and we follow the Weston A Price Foundation lifestyle. We use natural medicine as much as possible. We came to Dr. L from Gallatin TN because he was referred to us by the Weston A Price Nashville chapter. 100% A GREAT CHOICE. THE BEST DENTIST WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO! Here are the details. Our son is 9 and has autism. He has some messed up teeth too. We have tried a few different dentists. The last dentist we went to did major work on his mouth. But after a bad experience with one of the staff there our son was afraid to go back. Frankly he was traumatized. So we waited a year and found Dr L. We convinced our son to give this new dentist a try. Our boy is very health conscious and understands he needs to get his teeth fixed to be healthy. The extent of his mouth issues were not fully known until he got an exam with Dr L. They did an amazing job keeping him calm during his cleaning and exam. One of my favorite things about Dr L is he does the dental and the orthodontics himself. Our son operates off of the vibe around him. If the feelings in the office were negative he would not let them touch him. I believe they genuinely care for their patients and our son could sense that. Unfortunately the prognosis was not so great. Dr L told us the four crowns from the last dentist were covering infections. He recommended we remove the crowns and the baby teeth. This can make way for his adult teeth to come in. Then he can fit a retainer to start the orthodontic treatment. This means our son will have to return to have those 4 teeth pulled. We were so worried because the last dentist was discussing putting him under anesthesia at the hospital to do this procedure. We decided to give Dr. L and his staff a chance at this in their office. It is one day after the procedure. I still cant believe how well it went. Our son had four teeth pulled and was awake for the entire time. He had some funny gas but after tooth #2 he said he didnt want it. This was the moment it all could have collapsed. He was not liking the shots and was ready to bolt. The staff/Joyce did an amazing job keeping him calm. She talked to him the whole time and kept him engaged. Dr. L worked his magic and got all the teeth out. Now our son feels amazing today after that amazing accomplishment. He is so proud of himself and having that infection out of his mouth is awesome. He already feels much better. This is now our family dentist. We will gladly drive the hour to see Dr L. We are taking all of our kids there and I had a great experience with my cleaning as well. I highly recommend Dr L and his staff. They are by far the best dentist we have ever been to. Its hard to find anyone to trust in this day and age. We truly feel Dr L and his staff are trustworthy and they are obviously at the top of what they do. Our sons case was a very tough one but they handled it perfectly. Its also nice to not have your dentist shove fluoride in your face every chance they get. I say give them a try you wont regret it.

I am BEYOND thankful I went to see Dr Lokensgard a few years ago! I went to him to have my Mercury fillings removed, and it literally changed my LIFE! I was CONSTANTLY sick prior to have my fillings removed. I would have severe abdominal pain and fatigue that would keep me from leaving the house many days. I was referred by my best friend, Dr. Leigh Anne Stephens, who at the time was practicing dentistry in Denver. I am happy to say she has joined Dr Thom and his team in Franklin. She is an AMAZING dentist and will be a huge asset!

This dentist is an absolute sham. They say that the metal in your old fillings is bad for you so they want to take them out and put new fillings in that dont contain metal. Its been almost a year since I had that done and my tooth is still not right. They tried multiple times to fix it and all the did was file the tooth down until there is so much space that food always gets stuck there. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. Unless you want to forever mess your teeth up

We drive over 2 hours to this office and it is well worth it! Lisa was our hygienist and she is absolutely wonderful with our daughter (age 4). Dr. Lokensgard and the entire staff provided exactly the kind of holistic dental experience we were looking for. Highly recommend!

Dr Tom and his staff are amazing! He removed 4 mercury fillings over a 2 month period. He is one of the few dentists in town that can remove mercury fillings in a safe manner. Dr Tom has become a friend of our family.
