Moving to a new state is difficult, at best; coupled with the need of choosing new doctors, it is overwhelming. I had drawing names for such a need out of a hat and I was lucky enough to have a coworker to make some recommendations for me. Either way you choose a doctor, it is still a gamble. Anderson Eyecare goes above and beyond the customer service one desires. I had to go to my visit alone and I HATE trying to pick out glasses that look decent without a 2nd opinion, and I dont want the opinion of someone who is just trying to jack up the price of what I am about to purchase. My first visit was more than I ever expected. The doctor took her time, answering all of my questions and explaining in detail the reason for every problem I was experiencing. She was thorough, professional, detailed in explanations (not only of symptoms but of treatments too,) and she was funny. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful beyond what one would expect without being pushy for sales. Youve made a lifetime patient out of me on the first visit. Thank you, Dianne Cicchinelli

Unfortunately my last experience wasnt great. I have been a patient there for two years and requested to be on their waitlist for an appointment because I would only be in town a couple days (I recently moved to Louisville). They added me to the list and said they would call If anything opened up. They called me at 11:58 Monday morning and told me they had an opening at 1pm. I have an 11mos old daughter and needed to make sure she had someone to watch her so I told them I would call right back. I called them back 10 mins later as I was on my way there and they told me they had filled the appointment. It wouldve been nice of them to either wait a few more minutes or for them to call me back and let me know they had filled the appt. This felt like a complete disregard for personal situations and felt like it didnt matter who I was or what they had told me. They need to work on their people skills and realize its not all about business.

They have a nice place but its an average experience for the consumer. Not bad but thers nothing that disinguishes it from the competition. Competent staff but like most optometrists they have profit enters (eye mapping, frames, etc.) that are priced to favor the owner and are detrimental to someone with no insurance. Thats just the nature of their industry. My concern was the complete lack of privacy when wanting to discuss frames. Staff hears everything and patients can too. The person who started to assist me had no volume control, as if we were in Floyds barbershop in Mayberry wanting Barney to share the gossip with Andy and the gang. My preferences for style, comfort, and price are my own business. There is no veil of "Dr - patient" privacy, but its a nice place if you are comfortable with that. I decided to buy products (frames, lenses, & contacts) elsewhere to enjoy the experience and save big bucks.

I visited the office for a thorough exam since it has been a couple of years since my last check-up. The reception staff was very friendly and thanked me for filing the forms online in advance, which was a great convenience for me so, "no, thank YOU!" for providing that option. I arrived just a few minutes ahead of my appointment and was greeted by the techs right on time with no waiting. Their instructions for using the exam equipment were very clear and professional, and the exam went very quickly with no discomfort. I did not have to wait very long for Dr. Terri to visit and complete the exam. She was very efficient in conducting the vision tests and determining my prescription, but she also took time to explain the test results thoroughly and answer any questions I had. Overall, it was an excellent experience!

I was on a recent business trip to Nashville and was having issues with the fit of my glasses. I had purchased the glasses from a major eye center in Kokomo, IN and they had not been able to get them to fit correctly. While in business, I thought why not go by and see the Anderson Eyecare center as I used to go to them before my wife and I moved back to Indiana. I asked them if they could fix the glasses, and I told them I was more than willing to pay for the fix as well. Not only were they willing to fix them, but also with zero charge. Now, Im not telling everyone to go to Anderson Eyecare to have their glasses fixed that they bought from someone else...no, Im telling you to go to Anderson Eyecare because they will take care of you...customer or not. Great place and a great team!

I have gone to Dr. John Anderson since 2010 when I was referred to him with an emergent eye issue. (It was lunch time and they told me to come right over and saw me right away.) Since I did not have a regular Optometrist or Opthamologist I returned for my regular eye checkup and have been there ever since. I have no plans to go anywhere else. The entire staff is friendly and genuine. Dr. John takes his time as do his employees. I recently took my husband in for his first visit to an eye doctor as an adult and he too was very impressed. I have no doubt that we will remain with Anderson Eye Care as a family for years to come. If you want the best eye care around, call them. You wont be disappointed!

Every time I consider switching eye doctors, due to driving distance, all it takes is two minutes with Dr. Terri and I remember why she is so worth the drive. She always remembers my unique needs and explains how she is going to meet those needs. Shell take the time to explain how each type of contact works and why shes using the one shes using. She is very honest and just a genuine sweet person who makes me feel like taking care of my eyes is of the utmost importance to her. I never feel rushed and always feel like an extended family member or friend is taking care of me. That is very rare.

my exam was complete and thorough. the staff member that helped me select my frames was helpful and courteous. when I went to pick up my glasses however the situation was a bit different. I was told a staff member would be out "shortly" to help me. then I was told it would be 10-15 minutes. I am pretty sure she was there and was on break or something. i was told i could wait or come back later or tomorrow. Seriously? i have to say i was pretty annoyed. i had spent quite a lot of money on the exam, frames and lenses and then not to have anyone available to make sure they fit correctly?

This was my first visit and I was very impressed. Dr. Terri was friendly and professional, answered all my questions and helped me understand my needs and options. The office/support staff was also very friendly and the lady who helped me select my glasses was extremely helpful. I needed someone who could advise and offer suggestions since I havent been wearing glasses long. Thats exactly what I received and her input was certainly appreciated and welcomed. I feel good about the glasses I chose and look forward to wearing them.
