I definitely do not recommend Dr. Lucy Sloan. I recently had an appointment with her office and I had a bad experience. My appointment was at 10:00 and around 10:20, the dentist came in to numb my gums. Well, she did not return to start the procedure until 11:10. By that time, I was restless. After Dr. Sloan came into my room, I mentioned to her that I needed to return to work and I could only have one filling done that day. After she sat down on her stool, I asked her which tooth in the front was she going to work on. Her response was: "Im here now ready to work and youre just now asking this. Youre just now asking when Im here ready to start working". Her response was cold and heartless. Especially after I had just waited over an hour for her to begin the procedures. The hygienist told me which teeth they were going to work on that day, but after waiting so long I was beginning to wonder about which tooth needed the work. Needless to say I wasted an hour and half of my time from work for nothing. I left with only a numb mouth and no dental work. I have never been so disrespected at a doctor or dentists office. She will not get anymore of my business and that was only my second time going to her office. If I had to grade her on customer service, friendliness, respect, work ethics and compassion, I will give her a F.

One star is too much. Some 9 years after she was supposed to give me some fillings (instead just repeatedly numbed me for 4 hours until I walked out), I received a bill that I ignored. They were cash mining. Dr. Sloan would frequently leave me waiting hours in the waiting room while my husband and patients that came in after me would pass me up. I was treated like the great unwashed. Dr Sloan said I needed a guard because I ground my teeth (something no dentist has told me before or since...its been 13 years) has agreed with. I got to choose guard and I chose the $35 soft one. They lied and billed Blue Cross nearly $800 and told them I got a hard one. When I eventually got sick of the crap and left, they refused to give me my X-rays until I made a scene in the full waiting room. Horrible, horrible, service. May she receive all that she deserves.

Dr. Sloan is an excellent and thoughtful dentist. I love her patient-doctor rapport. She puts one at ease. She appears to be a wonderful person. She is my grand-childrens, daughters and my dentist. I highly recommend her!! In addition to the above, her office is attractive and office personnel extremely pleasant and helpful.
