I have been in pain with teeth and infection for at least 3 years. I had no way of having my teeth removed until I got insurance, and found Julie A Gaskill DDS in Bowling Green KY. I looked up her web page last night to get directions to her office and I began reading the reviews that was left for her. I was terrified to even go into her office this morning. I was expecting this ogre of a woman to come at me with scalpels and needles as large as me, with a bed side manner that was atrocious. A staff that could care less if they hurt you or not. BUT what I received instead was a very pleasant experience. I was greeted as soon as I came in by a very nice receptionist, who was kind, clean and knew her job well. She was patient with everyone that I seen come in after me. I was the first to arrive this morning. I was then asked to come into the back by a very professional assistant, whom explained every move she made to me before she did anything; she took my x-rays, (Which I might add was a very cool modern machine). Then I was assisted back to the exam room. While waiting a very short time for Dr. Gaskill to come in, another assistant, I believe her name was Lisa, (please forgive me with the names, anesthesia has a tendency to render me forgetful) came into the exam room and explained all the finds on my X-ray, which was two teeth extra that I was not really expecting to be removed today, but knew I had problems with. She explained to me every step that would be performed today with my procedure and what I should do once my procedure was completed. She made sure that my husband understood these directions as well. Knowing that I was a bit anxious, (and I say this lightly as I was terrified after reading these reviews) she helped me calm a bit before Dr. Gaskill arrived. Remember, I am thinking this is an ogre of a woman, when this very cheerful, kind petite lady walks into the exam room, dress very stylish and introduces herself as DR. GASKILL. Shocked yeah you could say that, though I would fall out of the chair. I was immediately put at ease. She was very kind to me, she explained everything that she would be doing and what had probably caused my issues to start with, and some other procedures that she could do at a later time to help me have a better quality of life. I was then asked to come to the next room where my surgery would take place and my husband was escorted back to the waiting room with my father in law. They went to put the IV in, and even though they use a very small butterfly needle, I do not do well with IV’s in my hands, so they accommodated me by placing it in my arm as I requested, they continued to talk to me as I was drifting off to sleep. I never experienced any pain while I was at the office and very minimal pain since I have left, and I was not given a pain med prescription. But I do take meds on a daily basis. I do not even remember leaving the office, but I can tell you that my husband whom is very picky about me was as impressed with WONDERFUL DDS and her staff as I was. So please when you get ready to visit with her take in mind, some people just do not like others. Dr. Julie A Gaskill and Staff, thank you so very much for all that you did for me today. May God Bless Each and Every one of you. Wanda Robertson

I just had a tooth pulled yesterday an was left with a stich in my mouth. it was my understanding that if the stich broke came out or anything I was supposed to call asap because it could cause blood clots, rip my nasal area, or bleed out of the scoket. I called today because the stich is hanging down an can be broken at anytime. to my surprise they are closed today. so I called the number on the instruction that my sister was given after my extraction. it was the answering service person telling me to go to the hospital so i went and the hospital said theres nothing they could do for me that i needed to see her. I called her line back again an told the answering service what the hospital said and I ask why couldnt they call her to let her know what hospital advise and the issue that Im experiencing. i was then told its not important enough for them to call her , they said she has given them a list of things to call her for an this was not one of them and then proceed to hang up on me. I wouldnt refer Noone to her office. its out dated an needs cleaning the staff an the doctor dont look or act professional an their customer service is horrible . To be honest after the surgery I was pushed out the back with out being conscious an put into my car. I didnt know what was going on until I got home which was 20 minutes away from her office when my sister told me what happen an her concerns.

My husband went to Dr. Gaskill to have his wisdom teeth removed because she was the only one that would take our insurance. From the start the experience was awful. The receptionist was rude, the medical assistant was unprofessional and the office seemed dirty. When we did finally see Dr. Gaskill (we had to wait two hours) she was dressed like a teenager. She came in, coughed into her hand then stuck the same hand in my husbands mouth. Fast forward to after surgery, the assistant that helped my sedated husband to the car threatened to hit him on the head if he didnt cooperate. Two days later he woke up with 103 fever. Dr. Gaskill had no one on call for her so he had to go to the walk in clinic. He had an infection from the surgery. When he called the office on Monday to tell them he got an infection from the surgery, the person he spoke with was very rude, and told him that it couldnt have been anything they did. Do NOT go to Dr. Gaskill!!! If shes the only person your insurance will cover, drive to Louisville!!!

She is just awful. Her snobby assistant is even worse. I paid cash money up front to have my wisdom teeth removed & opted to go under anesthesia, while having me count backwards from 10 they started discussing what they were going to do over the weekend, not even listening to me count. Midway through I woke up with her hands shoved in my mouth & another nurse holding my legs down. After the procedure was over I was trying to come too and get my balance on the edge of the bed when the assistant pulled me up and rushed me out the back door, telling me "snap out of it" I told my mom that I had woken up and when she confronted the assistant she said that I was still drugged up and didnt know what I was talking about. I would take my dog to this place. Gaskill & her assistant have absolutely no bed side manner. She is the type of dentist that makes people afraid of them. The girls up front were a dream, so I expected the doctor to be better, but NOT AT ALL!! I paid $700 to be treated terribly.
