Terrible customer service for a walk in clinic! Their website says they take walk-in patients and are open until 7pm Monday-Thursday. Great! Or so I thought. This was my first time using Harbor of Health since Regional One took over from the old UT clinic here (but has the same name). Customer service starts with the front desk receptionist-- and she basically ran me off! I showed up at 4:08pm and was informed by the receptionist that since I didnt have an appointment the earliest I could be seen would be 6pm. Even though there was only one other person in the waiting room, I said okay and asked if would it be okay to fill out the paperwork and come back at 6pm. She said no, because it was almost 5:00 (What??) and I would need to be here by 5:30 because they close right after that. When I reminded her about the time (4:08 by the way--not close to 5:00!) and mentioned they didnt close until 7pm, she said thats right, but we have to start closing up after that. Again, WTF?? I said ok- never mind and I left totally confused. Especially since they didnt appear to be busy. The Doctors and FNPs might be fabulous, but unfortunately I will never know. Such a shame because it would be great to have a good health clinic back in the wonderful mud island community. Oh and by the way, I drove straight to the urgent care clinic located in midtown on union-- which was packed! But, I was seen quickly and out within 1 hour. I definitely wont be shocked when Regional Ones Harbor of Health closes. What a shame.

Since Regional one took over and they hired a new receptionist this place is absolutely horrible. Im not sure if she understands the clinic policy but from what I understand this is a WALK IN clinic. Ive come here a few times and theres no one in the waiting room yet she has turned numerous patients away telling them they need to make appointments, including myself. She is also extremely slow, it takes at least thirty minutes the two times Ive been there for her to even get my information relayed to the medical staff in the back even though theres no one in the waiting room. There seems to be no sense of urgency or no desire to help or work with patients schedules. The medical staff in the back are very personable and knowledgeable, but unfortunately the main point of contact at the front desk ruins the entire experience.

So I read reviews on this place before going. I must say the reviews I read about the receptionist was very true. I had an appointment today at this place for 11:00AM. I used my GPS to find the location due to this being my first time going to this place I had no clue where I was going. I had high hopes for this facility. The receptionist told me the doctor doesnt like to work with anyone thats late and that I would have to come back or wait til at 1:40PM. Oh then she said or you can come back another day. I needed to see the doctors today and she made it a big inconvenience for me. She act like she didnt want me there Im not pleased with this place at all. I will never deal with this company ever again.

(+) The facility was really nice. (+) The nurse practitioner who saw me was really nice. (-) However, when I requested something checked on my blood test (because a deficiency runs in my family), she forgot to include it. Weeks later when I asked about it, they said I needed to come back in to get my blood redrawn. VERY INCONVENIENT especially for those scared of needles. (-) They didnt update me on my results until 3 weeks after my appointment. Other offices Ive been to normally let me know 1 week later. (-) The wait time was a bit long. Was seen 45 min after I got there even though I saw one other patient in the waiting room the whole time.

This use to be a walk in clinic where you could be seen the same day for infections and such but that is no longer the case. Region One took it over from UT. When I tried to make an appointment for a sinus infection, I was told the soonest I could have an appointment was two weeks and that I should go to an emergency care center instead. Basically, the benefit of the little clinic was same day appointments and with that no longer available, you might as well make your appointment at a regular hospital or schedule a time with your regular doctor.

I have been a patient of Harbor of Health for many many of years..... The staff really disappointed me. Treated me like I was uninsured, not a long time patient and basically like I was trying to cheat them out of something. I literally broke down and cried in the lobby. I felt so disrespected....After coming here for 10 Years or more, being on the board of patients put together to give suggestions that would make things better at one time and totally loving my doctors office.....to hating to go see about myself.... totally heartbreaking!!!!!

The Harbor of Health looks good from the outside but appearances can be deceiving. The primary physician has a very undeveloped bedside manner and comes off rude and uncaring. The reception staff members are polite, but poorly trained and not well managed. In general the operation doesn’t seem to respect their clients time or feelings. I will not be going back to Harbor of Health, even for the most routine visit.

Never had a problem with this facility until today. Appointment 3 weeks in advance - not easy to get a day off in my job - walk in and they tell me theres no provider today. Said they called me and left a message when I never received one. I dont appreciate being called a liar to my face. Avoid this place - I will from now on.

I had a great experience! The staff was fast...professional...polite...and adequate at their jobs. So making the the transition as a new patient to this location was a great decision. Every clinic has its hiccups but I happy

This office is one of the cleanest offices Ive been seen. The attending physician is very thorough, knowledgeable, and is accurate in her practice. I hate that she is moving.

Called in for an appointment and asked me why I needed to come in and had me on speaker phone, the reception desk is RIGHT in the middle of the foyer. HIPPA violation anyone?
