In November 2014, my daughter got very ill after she was recently diagnosis with Asthma. After an over night stay at the hospital in Cleveland, MS and all test results returning negative we were discharged the next day; we werent home no more than 3-4 hours and my daughters breathing was very rapid. I called the ER and they told me to bring her back in. When we returned they tested her again for RSV and then a nurse said to another nurse we need to reswab because she used the wrong swab. Well this time she tested positive for RSV it was a mini nightmare. RSV with Asthma was twice as worse and we were hospitalized again. My child didnt seem to be getting any better and the respiratory nurse stated she was concern. Earlier the next day my daughter had a bad asthma attack it was then I asked to be referred to Le Bonheur. Of course the staff didnt like it but as a first time mom I wanted to make sure nothing was going unnoticed. I left the hospital around 7 that night and travel to Memphis which was a 2 hour drive. The wait was extremely long and the building was packed with sick babies but we were finally seen. They gave her another treatment and observers her for an hour. The doctor came in and explained to me what no one else explain. He stated that the respiratory virus was not treatable and it was something that has to run it course. Because my daughter has Asthma it makes it even harder for her to breath. They only thing to do was treat her symptoms. They told me she would be worse for a few days and then it would get better. They have me some tips on what I can do to make her comfortable. That gave me a peace of mind more than anything. After everything was done it was like 3 am in morning when we were checking out...the doctors offered me shelter and due to family being in Memphis I didnt need it. I was so amazed and blessed by the services I received. Thanks Le Bonheur for all u do for ur babies and families.

Me and my wife were forced to come here with our son, under threat of social services. My wife had taken him to a clinic because she was concerned about his growth, they threatened to take our son away if we did not come here immediately. This hospital is in full cooperation with all government agencies such as social services, DCFS, CPS. These agencies care nothing for children and neither does Labonheur. They are here to be paid and nothing else. Social services were the first people to see us and were asking rather personal questions, that werent really their business. We had left our sleeping sons in the room for 30 minutes to go on a brief walk. Believe it or not, a SOCIAL WORKER was there to greet us and make sure we never do something so "dangerous". We had left the hospital the second day in order to get the things we did not have time to get. Not even four hours later Labonheur staff calls saying theyre unable to soothe our child and they need us there. Essentially they need you there with your child because they cant properly do it themselves. You should not trust any agency or organization that cooperates with Social services, DCFS, CPS and the like. These people are not here for your well being.

My son had two MRI scans at LeBonheur Childrens Hospital. On the first scan, a large tumor in his eye was missed by two different radiologists. On the second scan done postoperatively, a comparison to the original scan was never made although it was dictated as being done. Because of this huge error my son was misdiagnosed and not treated promptly. He later died of metastatic retinoblastoma. The errors have since been brought to the attention of the CEO of the hospital and she denied any wrongdoing. Many radiologists and physicians have seen the scans since and all of them see the large tumor and state an error was made. If I could attach the scan images here I would. The tumor is large and obvious even to those not in the medical profession. LeBonheur is covering up this mistake. Do not trust this hospital or their radiologists to properly review and interpret scans. My son would be alive today if it werent for these huge mistakes. If your child has had scans here, I would recommend getting copies of both the reports AND the images on a disk to have another physician review them. The carelessness of this facility and the cover up of mistakes is not worth your childs life.

My third child has some health issues one being is on a g tube. We have met some wonderful doctors and some not so good. I love his club foot Dr Kelly is so amazing also his ent doctor I absolutely love them. I dislike the g tube clinic not because their not nice people or anything. But they didnt try to thicken his food before they made the decision that he would have to have feeding tube but also they havent ever told me really how to take care of it. Everything I know to do is because Ive researched everything online. They never told me besides to keep it clean that you have to check the water in the balloon or that it needs to me cleaned at least once a month or what to do when tissue starts growing up around and how to help keep it away. From talking to other doctors and what Ive been reading his tube might not have been needed at all. Which really pisses me off that they cut into at two months and it might couldve been avoided!!!

Our daughter was born with a common atrium of the heart and a interrupted vena cava. The cardiology staff there, namely Christopher Knott-Craig and Vijay Joshi were spot on. Everything they told us was the way it was. No surprises. The staff at LeBonheur was great. My daughter was treated and cared for as if she was royalty. I have never seen such quality of care as she received. She is now 5 years old and has never gotten a bad check up report since her surgery. Her prognosis has been just as we were told what we should expect. My family continues to and will always be thankful for a hospital in our area that provides the quality of healthcare she received. LeBonheur is a gift from God. Thank you, LeBonheur. Greg Davis

Awesome hospital. 51 yr. ago(I was 8 or 9), I had open heart surgery. I had a hole in my heart about the size of a quarter. I had 2 great doctors. If I am not mistaken, one was Dr.Allen, other was Dr. Bell(?). Pretty much all I remember is the doctors and nurses were so kind. They patched the hole w/teflon and,so far I havent had any problems. Who knew teflon was that strong. Any way, I thank every one who tended to me. By the grace of God, yall saved my life because I was told that if I did not have it done at that time, I would not have lived past 12-13 years old. THANK YOU and keep up the great work.

What a bad experience. First they lost our paperwork within first 15 min. Yep 15min. We got a room pretty quick where we sat for well over an hour n never seen a doctor. We left got to the car i called to speak with supervisor.i went back in.they took me and my child back to the same room. The doctor only wanted to talk about other things not my child.so i started ready symptoms from a doctors website. She didnt like that she told me she was the doctor in a non professional way so i proceeded to gather my things to walk out.her assistance tried to block me from leaving "are you kidding me right now".
