I used to take my bets to Banfield Pet Hospital for years and after years of customer abuse my dogs and I left. I searched for a new dog vet and came across two vets in Mount Juliet TN, one looked local so I called and instantly got an automated "your call may be recorded" message and it sounded like it was routing me to a corporate call center, I hung up. I then called VetMed and after 2 rings they answered the phone and I explained I was looking for a new vet and these people were the nicest ever. When I asked for an appointment I expected them to say "we have ________ time available." Instead they said "what day and time works best for you?" They actually let me pick the time and it was a great change. When we arrived we were greeted by a friendly worker and we chatted. While I filled out the paperwork one of the receptionists came out and played with my dogs. Normally my small dog nips, bites and growls at the Banfield vets, I expected she would do the same here but she was very happy and never bit or growled once. My second larger dog was happy as well. This is a major paradigm shift compared to Banfield and we will be going back, this is our new vet. This place was great and the rates were cheaper then Banfield. For instance, I got rabies shots for my 2 dogs and paid $39 total. At Banfield it was $55 PER DOG!! VetMed of Mount Juliet is a fantastic place and we will be back.

We found VetMed thru adopting 2 rescues at the shelter next door. We now take all 3 of our dogs there. We drive 30+ minutes from East Nashville because they are so great. Dr. Gables is always honest and fair. He is also open to all types of alternative medicine as long as it means your pet gets well (which is rare in his business). Best vet team Ive ever had!
