Last Thursday morning I had hip pain, pain that I had been experiencing for several days. I decided it was time to see my Doctor, Dr Ludi, and see what he would recommend. I called his office about 9:30 AM and asked if I could get an appointment fully expecting it would be the next day at the earliest. I was asked by the office staff if I could be there by 11:00 AM? I said yes and checked in just before 11:00 AM. I was able to see Dr. Ludi in about 15 minutes and he suggested I have some x-rays taken. I then went to the Portland X-ray department and had the X-rays taken and was back in my car heading home at 1:00 PM, a total of two hours. I thought not bad for an unscheduled appointment and X-rays to be taken. About 6:00 PM I received a call from Dr. Ludi’s office telling me what the X-rays results were. End of story. About two years ago I dropped a glass in my kitchen sink and in the process ended up with a deep cut in a finger that was bleeding quite a bit. I called Dr. Ludi’s office and explained what had happened, and that the bleeding would not stop. I was told to come in as soon as I could and have it looked at. After having it checked, and receiving a tetanus shot and five stitches from Dr. Ludi, I was back to my car in less than one hour. I moved to Portland 9 years ago from San Diego where I had medical care by a large well-known and respected teaching hospital. One of my main concerns were “what is medical care in a small town going to be like”, and thinking not near as good as what I had previously left behind. I asked a new Portland friend who they recommended and they said Dr. Ludi. I asked to become one of his patients and have never, ever had a less than excellent experience from both Dr. Ludi and his staff. The only thing I would suggest is that Dr. Ludi’s office have the scales replaced as they are not accurate when I get weighed at each appointment. They seem to be getting less and less accurate as each year passes. Grin……..

Portland Primary Care is amazing. Dr. Kellogg and her staff are wonderful and my needs are always taken care of. Dr. Kellogg listens to my concerns and goes beyond expectations to make sure my needs are taken care of. The nurses are very nice and the front office staff always makes me feel welcome.
