I would not give this practice one star, but had to! I am extremely infuriated and disappointed with the staff and policies at Victory Medical Center. After doing plenty of research and making the choice to see Dr. Katie Keller I called the office to schedule an appointment. At that time I made sure they took, checked, and verified my insurance so that we would not have any problems the day of my appointment. I was told that it would be 3 weeks before I could see Dr. Keller but agreed because I thought she was a physician I would like to see. Friday, prior to my appointment I called the office to verify my appointment time and was told to be there "15 minutes prior TO FILL OUT PAPERWORK." I asked if there was anyway I could have my paperwork ahead of time to be filled out and was told I could get it online. Saturday I received a text message telling me my appointment time and their "15 min prior TO FILL OUT PAPERWORK." I was happy that I had my paperwork filled out and also had a copy of my insurance card and ID for the office. Monday morning I arrived 6 minutes late to my appointment due to being new to Austin and getting lost. I was extremely apologetic but was told I COULD NOT BE SEEN. Seriously? 6 minutes late to an appointment I drove 45 minutes to and waited 3 weeks for? After I took the time to fill out my paperwork ahead of time and had the courtesy of making a copy of my insurance card and ID for them? I have worked in the medical field for over 10 years and never had I heard of a patient being refused for that reason. NEVER. I asked to speak to a manager who then told me all NEW patients were required to be their 15 minutes ahead of their scheduled appointments. WHY WAS THAT NOT SAID?? According to staff and text the 15 min early arrival was TO FILL OUT PAPERWORK. Paperwork I already had! I explained that and was still refused to be seen. At this point it would have been common courtesy to apologize for not being clear and offering to see me, maybe with a wait...but no, I was denied and made feel like it was my fault and not the fault of the staff for not being clear. When I explained that I had waited 3 weeks and drove 45 minutes to see the doctor I was then told "we understand but the Dr.s time is valuable..." REALLY?! The doctors time is valuable?? SO IS MINE! I am the patient!! Because I have a need, they have a job. Because I had a choice, they should strive to be the best choice. Because I have a sensitive medical issue, they should have been considerate. I am unique, they should have been flexible, I had an expectation and they failed to excel. Its because of myself and other patients that they exist!! I will NEVER return to this clinic and advise others to avoid it as well. CLEARLY they DO NOT have the patients care and in mind.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! I was there about two weeks ago now. I was coughing up blood. At first I thought this place was great, as I made an appointment and went right in. They rushed my paperwork though and it didnt stop there. They never took my license or insurance verification card, and just rushed me in and out. I could have been Jo Schmo using a wallets insurance card i stole. So i proceed to explain I had been coughing up blood and not feeling well. I was then pushed up stairs for blood work. After blood work, I was told to go ahead and go. I was thinking.....well I havent paid yet, and I have no idea if i should avoid foods or drinks etc. I leave, and get a call about twenty minutes later. The front office asking for my co pay. I said i have no problem paying it, but maybe if you didnt rush me in and out you wouldnt have missed it. Then I asked her if I should be avoiding any foods, drinks, any recommendations. NONE! Said they would call me back. Never did. Finally a DAY later, I get an assistant on the phone who says, avoid spicy things and things like that...."things like that", what they heck does that even entail!? So i call my childhood doctor for help. Another week goes by, I call to get my results. I was told they were in but not reviewed yet. How do you not review results when someone was throwing blood, i would feel that would be important! days go by, still no call. I call about 3-4 times and STILL to this day, I have not received my results. I asked for a different provider/doctor to call me as my doctor Joanna/ Ana something SUCKS! She never told me what i need to avoid, STILL hasnt called me, and for weeks now I fear waking up every morning coughing up blood again. I have yet to hear my results. I do not need to come in for another appointment of $40 just to be told nothing. I am more than irate about all of this, and i cannot believe patients are being treated this way. I am a 31 year old professional in the sales industry, and if my clients were treated this way, I would lose business. Well you lost my business! AWFUL!!!!******************************************

My girlfriend gets sick and her insurance doesnt kick in until next month so we need something quick to get some antibiotics flowing...... We find Victory on the internet, it is close, not bad reviews, and so we go for it... Ill make this as short as I possibly can while still explaining our experience. Pros: 1. The nursing and front desk staff were professional and courteous, the wait and pre-exam were quick and painless. 2. The space was comfortable to wait in. 3. Accept patients with no insurance. Cons: 1. They take payment before services rendered. flat fee of $115 and then they dont tell you what the additional costs of the tests they decide to run until after. 2. The nursing staff is more competent and professional then the PA. 3. Gave us potentially hazardous prescription (twice) after telling them 3 different times in writing that she was allergic to Penicillin. Story: We had S Shepherd (PA) who first came into the room in what seemed like a hurry. She began by running through all of the questions we had already answered twice before and then was quick tempered/flippant when asked any questions about anything. She prescribed a numbing agent "lollipop" and made no mention of antibiotics to treat a sinus/throat infection. So then she wrote us a prescription for an antibiotic after a diatribe about Amoxicillin when asked politely about it. So we go to Target across the street to fill out the prescription and luckily the pharmacist Celeste was intelligent enough to catch the PAs mistake in prescribing us a Penicillin family antibiotic. So we had to wait while the PA then prescribed over the phone another Penicillin family antibiotic with a lower chance of hazardous effects. After Celeste helped us get the right prescription and let us know that we should just have been given a Z pack and none of this would have been an issue we went on our way. Bottom line I wont be going to Victory again but will be glad to go to Target pharmacy.

I went to the healthy heart testing. They scheduled my follow up for the results 4 weeks later at 11:30am. The week of the appointment, they sent me a confirmation they had changed my time to 9am. I went on the day at 9am. The receptionist had a line but she was taking peoples names and getting them checked in. I went to sit and waited for her. A half hour later, she had someone come get me to ask my name again. Then she told me that my appointment was at 11:30am. I thought, ok, my fault, I should have called to verify they intended to change my time. I came back at 11:20am and sat to wait for 11:30am to check in. The receptionist called me to the desk before I checked in to collect my copay. I thought at least that was going smoothly. They called me to the back and did my vitals and told me I was next. About 20 minutes later, someone came in and told me I was next. 25 minutes later, I went to the receptionist and asked for a refund. She got up and went to the back and when she came back, she asked if I really wanted a refund, I was next. I told her I had been next for the last 45 minutes, and it was rude and disrespectful to keep someone waiting for 45 minutes when I had made an appointment a month ago. One of the women behind her asked what the problem was, and the receptionist told her they had overbooked the day. No one asked if I wanted to reschedule. No one called. No one emailed. No one apologized for the inconvenience. I dont have my results. I had requested the results be sent to my regular health doctor. They did not do that. They sent me a letter and said their was abnormal results. But, they did not care enough to contact me again. They treated me like I was inconveniencing them. I would suggest, find another place for medical care. They clearly dont care.
