Let me state first off that this place has been terrible since day one. I have been seeing Dr.Cook for about a year and a half. At the time, I did not have insurance but needed to see a dr to be back on depression and anxiety meds. After several hundred dollars out of pocket, him not listening, and prescribing medication I didnt need, he finally gave me some medication that was a viable option. This was only after telling him I have PTSD and a 15 year history with depression. He belittled me in front of another dr when I told him I had a reaction to a medication he prescribed," People will say they have a reaction to anything. You could prescribe sugar pills and someone would claim they had a reaction" and rolled his eyes. It has been a pain to get the meds refilled every month (denied, go days without medication because he didnt approve it etc). Now, Im almost a week into not having anxiety medication (and have had three panic attacks and quit my job in the meantime) and he refuses to refill my meds until I see him. Hes not covered by my insurance-so I just have to stick it out for another week and a half until I can see a psychiatrist, an appointment Ive been waiting on for a month now. Also, when I told him about my back pain, he said it was "probably because my chest is so large",and proceeded to lay on me and pop and snap my back. Upon going to an actual back/pain management dr, I have several herniated discs that are causing my back pain, not my chest. This doctor is terrible...he doesnt listen to you or your needs. I will never go to him or recommend him to anyone.

The receptionist here have been unprofessional and rude every time I have gone in. Last time I went in, there was a miscommunication (their fault), so the receptionist began giving me dirty looks and talking to me like i was a child. Dr. Cook does not listen to what you have to say, and will interrupt you when it is your turn to talk. I went in with back pain, he twisted and jerked me around, which was pretty painful.. then told me nothing was wrong, and to drink more fluids and sent me on my way. I had to go see another doctor to find out I have a bulging disc and 4 synovial cysts in my lower back. Ive never been satisfied with any of my appointments here, and wont be returning.

I called Bedford Family Medicine because I ran out of my medication. I needed more ASAP and needed to see a doctor to get it prescribed. They were able to get me in with the nurse practitioner, Carol King, by the day after I called. Both Mrs. King and the nurse were extremely warm, compassionate, humble people. Not once did I feel rushed or pressured when speaking with them. I knew the day I went in that Id make them my primary care physician. I have never felt better leaving a doctors office. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I have had excellent service and response times with Bedford Family Medicine. On more than one occasion, I have had a sick child and a pediatrician who couldnt see me for a day or two but I was able to get into Doctor Looney. Doctor Looney of Bedford Family medicine is patient, diligent, caring and - when it counts - almost always available for same day visits. Five stars. Hes our family doctor now.

The staff was rude when I went in. Then the doctor took no time with me, prescribed a medication for me I had never heard of, didnt explain it or answer any of my questions about it. I will not be going back. I read the other bad reviews before I went in, but went in any way. It was a mistake. Find another office, youll be glad you did.

Wonderful Doctor that took great care of me while I was in the DFW area recovering from a hospital stay. He listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions and explained everything that was happening and was very informative. The entire staff was wonderful.

I dont understand how someone can have a business and treat people rudely. Staff was rude and incompetent. Dr. cook came in and interrupted me when i tried to talk. I could stand a rude or uncaring doctor, but the rude staff was too much. FIND ANOTHER OFFICE!

I have been going to Dr. Looney for a few years now. The wait time is minimal, Dr. Looneys nursing staff is professional & Dr. Looney is very pleasant, nice, polite & listens to your concerns. I recommend him to my friends.

Every time I have tried to get appointment, I could never get them. They are either closed, or at lunch, and then they dont have any openings. I am new to the area and wanted to find a doctor but it wont be them.

I have been going to the same doctor for over 17 years. I love Bedford Family medicine. A word of advice... Request Dr. Looney. True to other reviews, Dr. Cook has the worst bed side manner.
