I went to MCFC simply because it was the most convenient doctor to my house. With the exception of Alice, one of the nurse practitioners, everyone there seemed to always be throwing some sort of attitude (except the front desk people, who were always nice enough). I would always just make an appointment with whoever was first available, so I pretty much made the rounds with their doctors and nurses and got to visit with most of them. I almost always got some sort of attitude. For example, one time, this douche they called "Dr. Z" (I never knew his actual name) came in the room and introduced himself this way: "So what are you here for today?" I couldnt believe it. Pro tip, "Dr. Z": with the possible exception of "Good morning/afternoon", the FIRST thing out of your mouth when you greet the patient should be "Hello, Im Dr. _________", not "What are you here for today." Dumbass. Another time (and I still laughingly tell this story to this day), I went there for a work physical, part of which was a hernia check. Female nurse comes in and says, "Hang on, Ill be right back, I need a second person in here to observe." I asked for what. She said "Any time we have an opposite sex patient, were required to have another staff member in the room as a witness." I was like okay, I guess I get it, they dont want any accusations of impropriety given she and I are different genders. For that reason, I was surely expecting her witness to be a man. Nope, LOL she comes back in with another female employee. You could imagine if our roles were reversed and I had left the room and come back in with another man LMAO. To be clear, I wasnt bothered by it, it just makes them look stupid, like amateurs are running the show over there. If you cant do one-on-one hernia checks with members of the opposite sex, just get a same sex employee to do it. This isnt hard...pardon the pun. Anyway, Im not going back. Just too many bad attitudes over there. If I have to drive an extra 5 mins for better service, Im happy to do it.

The office staff here leaves A LOT to be desired. I have been a patient here for about 3 years and have been very happy with Dr. Zarosky, however.....it is next to impossible to get a call back from the staff after you leave a message. This has happened on more than one occasion for my husband and myself. A few months ago I had a question about a referral and left a message three consecutive days for the "Patient Advocate" (LOL) to call me back. I needed a referral for a retina specialist who I see once a year and make this appointment a year in advance. I requested the referral about a month in advance of my appointment and my patient advocate (Susan,I believe) left me a message (not at the phone number I had asked for messages to be left) saying that since I was a patient of Dr Kim (whom I do not know or have ever heard of and at a completely different practice), she couldnt help me. Why in the world would my doctor ask this patient advocate for a referral if I was not his patient???? I finally called the office on the fourth day of waiting for this "advocate" to call me back and I spoke to whoever answered the phone and she said she would again forward me to this patient advocates number so I could leave yet another message! You have to be kidding me!!!! Here I am again... waiting on a call back for results from x-rays and MRI that I had last week. I was told that the office had my results sent to them last Friday and it is now Tuesday and NO CALL with my results. I called the practice again yesterday and was told they would forward me to someone to help me and I said that they never return calls, so whoever answered my call said she would walk a message over to the appropriate person. Wellllllllll.....That was yesterday and I am still waiting. I will have to make a visit to the practice tomorrow and hopefully speak to the office manager....if there is one. Come on Mid Cities Family Care....look at some of these reviews and take action!

Havent been here since 2012, and will certainly never return. About 5 months ago, I began getting bills from my last 2012 visit. I have been round and round with them and their billing department ever since. I have gotten stories, "well, this is from so long ago, I dont know", "let me look into it and call you back" (has never happened), "this is so old you need to speak to someone in level2, not 1, I can not help you", unbelievable. I have never gotten an EOB for this visit, I have been through all my records. I did have my bank pull up checks from 2 years ago,and found a check written to them for $30. My insurance has changed twice since 2012. My original bill never had any sort of insurance/payment information on it, just that I owed almost $300. I am tired of going round and round with them. Last time I called, I spoke to Evelyn in the office, she says not to worry, its so old, let me take care of that. Really? This week I get another bill, it is for a different amount (from the same date though in 2012). My service reason reads for: "ENCOUNTER", shows no insurance payment, or no payment of my own, but now is $172 I dont get it, an "ENCOUNTER" showing nothing but a dollar amount, from a visit 2 years ago. My advice, is go elsewhere, I am working on a formal letter to file a complaint with the state. They should not be able to practice such billing practices, and sure would be nice, if I could actually get a call through, and someone to actually help me, or at least return my phone call.

Family care is a misnomer for this facility, as they do not "care" about you at all. I have been coming here for three years, and for the past year and half I have begun to dread interacting with the office for any reason. If Dr. Jutras were to leave Mid-Cities Family, I would follow him because he is a fantastic doctor, but I just cannot deal with how horrible this facility is. The staff is horrendous. I have had an administrative assistant flat out ignore me when I had an appointment with my psychologist, but was locked outside. When my counselor finally let me in out of the cold, the administrative assistant had the audacity to say she didnt see me, even though we made eye contact multiple times and I had been pounding on the door. They stop answering their phones and lock the doors to the facility before the actual closing time of the office, and the secretaries and nurse assistants are constantly rude, disrespectful, and condescending. Today was the last straw; On Monday I will be calling the office to release my medical records and then I am leaving the practice. Switching doctors is a pain, but it is not as much as a nightmare as the experience I have had here. I actually go to Carenow right now for my primary care because I get better attention THERE than I do at this facility. I usually hate leaving reviews, but I am so furious that I had to voice my frustrations on a public forum. You will not be satisfied with the service you receive here. Dont even bother.
