I had a vision problem develop suddenly in the afternoon and although I didnt know the specific diagnosis, I knew something was wrong with my vision in that eye. When I called Eyecare Associates and described the distortion in my vision, the woman who answered the phone immediately recognized that I had a problem that needed immediate attention and worked very hard to arrange for me to see one of the opthamologists. Dr. Bishop, my regular physician had a completely booked schedule but the receptionist was able to get me onto Dr. Motamarrys schedule. I was impressed with Dr. Motamarry who, like Dr. Bishop, is very professional, thorough, explained the diagnosis, took the time to listen to me and answer all my questions, and was friendly and showed genuine concern. Likewise, each of the staff members I dealt with at the clinic was friendly, helpful, and professional. Eyecare Associates of Texas’ actions show a commitment to professionalism, a genuine concern for their patients, and a "take appropriate time with the patient" atmosphere which I consider to be critical indicators about the quality of care in health care organizations. This is an excellent clinic with very good professionals. I highly recommend them for eye care.

My experience wasnt what I expected. My two daughters and I all had routine, annual exams. My youngest daughter had to go back a second time for refraction. Then, I wound up in a verbal struggle with a technician over contact lenses, my prescription, and my options for ordering. I was trying to understand their process and why I was limited to two brands for contacts, but I was interrupted and argued with instead. It felt like I was being TOLD and MADE to order with a certain contact lens company and I didnt like that or appreciate it. My experience was a little more of an unnecessary struggle than a pleasant experience (or just a normal visit). Im going back to my former Optometrist (small office, small staff, and no waiting). I should have never left, but made the mistake of thinking bigger, broader, and more staff meant more options, better care, and better service. Not quite ...

Would you like to skip the eye doctor all together and just see a "technician"? Do you enjoy supporting a for-profit business as their cash cow? Have you ever wished you could be under appreciated and de-valued as a customer? Congratulations youve found the right institution. Eyecare Associates is sure to please with deficient service, inoculated employees, and inflated costs. After making you generously wait during your "appointment", you can rest assured you will be expedited through everything else, and if youre fortunate you may see an optometrist from afar; a close and prolonged encounter would be too shocking to survive. After your experience here you too can be sure to leave knowing you got the worst service and the least bang for your buck in Texas.
