Dr. Blas is a great doctor, was very detailed in his exam and made me feel very comfortable HOWEVER his staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. I asked for a refill on a prescription, instead of calling it into the pharmacy I requested, they called it into a mail-order pharmacy. My insurance does not cover prescriptions unless I receive them through CVS Pharmacy. Why would they take upon themselves to ignore my request and call it into another pharmacy? I am the patient, I am paying for the medicine therefore I should be able to choose where I receive my prescription. They tried to explain that the mail-order pharmacy was the better way to receive the prescription because of the brand name, but they could call it into CVS if I wanted. After waiting 10 days I canceled my future appointments with Dr. Blas and will seek out another Neurologist for medical attention. What kind of medical office says they care about their patients but do not call in refills timely or per the patients request?

Two months ago, I was suffering from dizziness. I made an appointment with this Doctor and was told I had to wait over two months. I told them that I can come in anytime if there is a cancellation. I had incredibly bad headaches as well. I suffered every day. Many days, I just stayed in bed. I called to confirm my appointment, which was two weeks out. I was told that Dr. Blas was going on vacation and that they had to reschedule. I was furious! The girl told me that I could come in in four days. I said that would be great! I got a call to confirm my appointment last night. Then I got a call today, my appointment was at 4:00. The lady said that she did not know how I got this appointment. I was told that I will be a fill in, or whatever they called it. I told her that I did not want to go to this appointment and be rushed. She was not very nice after that.

I called today to make an appointment for my mother with Dr. Blas. My mother is covered by Medicare savings program. She has Medicaid as a second insurance. After reading reviews, I thought that Dr. Blas would be perfect to take care of my mother for her senior dementia. He does speak Spanish and he works in close proximity to our area. I have found, perplexed, that I can not make an appointment because Dr. Blas doesnt accept Medicaid QMB. I asked Dr Blas office to accept just the Medicare and I will cover whatever remaining balance. I was told they can not do that. (A stupid rule) I was on the phone with Medicare and Medicaid for 3 hours and they told me my mother was covered by that type policy and that its just "this doctors" policy. Its very sad that a good professional is just motivated to be paid by better or more expensive insurance.

**I LOVE my doctor and his ENTIRE staff!!** Dr. Blas is amazing! Ive been his patient for over eight (8) years. The longest relationship Ive ever had, period, (seriously)! He cares for AND about his patients. He takes time to listen to my concerns, welcomes questions, asks follow up questions, never makes me feel rushed or like he has something better to do!! I have his undivided attention - Every. Visit. Every. Time!

First time patient and very satisfied with my appointment. The waiting time was around 15 minutes and the waiting area was relaxing. Th staff was accommodating and friendly. Dr Blas was very knowledgeable , easy to talk to listened completely never rushing . Would highly recommend as a neurologist
