I cant say that Im surprised..... but yet again having issues with this dental office. I have been rescheduled 3 times to be told to come in today for an 8 am apt for issues with an extraction and crown started over 6 months ago. Nobody is at the office- all lights are off nobody answering the door or phone. I specifically made sure it was today at 8 at this location. I even asked are you sure you dont need to verify and was told no if I dont here from them this office at 8 am on Saturday. So far my experience has been getting an extraction right before vacations being in horrible pain with no answer of emails or phone calls and calling the after hours service number to be told a week later that oh they cancelled that service a month ago. There were no outside dr offices left as a backup for anyone having issues done before the vacation. None of this was told to me (about not being able to get in touch with anyone even a back up). The only way I got a response was by posting a comment like this on Facebook which has been taken down and I was then contacted and told that this was not the place to say such things.... well its the only thing that got a response as I was in pain. I have been brought in for so many appointments I cant even count at this point to see the Dr and have an apt and then be told we are just taking an x ray. Ive been told over and over that healing takes time..: I get that but Im still not able to chew on the right side of my mouth not even a piece of bread. I was scheduled to come in to have it looked at again and was told he wasnt in there was a family emergency- I get that no problem. I then reached and said ok lets do the cleaning and apt on the same day because at this point its a joke at my work about how many times Ive had to go to the dentist and I wanted to combine the trips into one. He looked at it and said lets schedule an apt block off an hour for me.... interesting as I specifically was told that was the apt to do just that. I am then rescheduled for this past Monday afternoon and am told their sterilization equipment is not working. Well obviously thats an issue but combined with all of the other issues and to top it off was asked well its just an X-ray apt right.... ummm no it wasnt and the last one wasnt supposed to be either. So then Im asked can I come in next Monday no I cant I have someone on vacation and cant be off at the same time. I inform them I needed to be seen this past week even if its me driving from aubrey to Rockwell because i have the staffing to do so this week. I was told we will call you back Tuesday morning because the Rockwell office is not open on Tuesdays- I do not hear back until Thursday afternoon at 4 pm and am told that he will come in specifically to see me today at 8 am.... no calls since and here I am typing some of my experience on the Facebook knowing it will be taken down but also hoping to actually get a response as this seems to be the only way. Oh I forgot to mention that I asked to speak with him on Monday and never was able to (its not like he was with patients as the sterilization wasnt working). I was then told that he needed to take my crown off and put a healing cap on for the infection by one of the girls in the front office... then when I questioned why infection was never mentioned before and why I had not been out on antibiotics she later called me back to say she misspoke that it might be infection because of the smell ( I was told plaque probably got under there at the last apt).... I could go on and on..... very disappointed, very frustrated and await a call from an actual dr......

I moved to the area a year ago and was searching for a new dentist because there was a tiny popcorn husk painfully jammed up under my gum behind my top rear molar and I could not get it out. I take good care of my teeth daily. My last dentist visit was just before we moved here and I had extensive work done removing most of my old fillings and replacing them. So nearly all my fillings are only one year old. I chose Cornerstone for their $99 special which included exam, x-rays, cleaning and free teeth whitening. Pros: I was seen right away, the staff were all friendly and the office was clean and neat. Cons: After the x-rays I was given a "consultation" which entailed (after telling them I was a cash patient) getting questioned about what my husband does for a living, what I do for a living, how is business, etc. (they were trying to appear conversational but it was painfully obvious to me they just wanted to determine my income). Then I was given a two-page estimate of things to do to "fix" my teeth. Computer-generated pricing was crossed off and the doctor hand-wrote in his "discounted" prices. The estimate was almost $9K!! (Note; my old dentist had given me a $3K estimate for the same work a year ago). Then I got the fastest "cleaning" Ive ever had in my life. I had to remind her to get the popcorn husk out. The "free" teeth whitening turned out to be no initial cost but you have to come back every six months (for maintenance or something, dont recall exactly) for life and that part, naturally, you pay for. Oh, and they recommended I didnt get it that day because the crown I was going to need would change the shape of my mouth and I would just have to redo it afterward anyway. My overall impression was they were trying to take me for everything they could get. Maybe the clientelle around here doesnt mind that. I DO mind it. I will not be going back.

Let me tell you my story and you decide. Three years ago I had the dentist at Cornerstone replace a bridge across three teeth. I had the new bridge less than 2 months and it broke. It was not recoverable so the dentist decided to extract one of the anchor teeth and bridge two spaces. The new bridge has held two years now. The original was from my college days in Lubbock. About two years ago the same dentist replaced one of my upper front teeth with a new crown. My other tooth had been replaced in my college years 40+ years before. About a year ago the same dentist put a porcelain crown on my lower back tooth. Within 30 days the back third of the crown broke off down to the metal. Then about a month ago the front tooth the dentist at Cornerstone had glued a crown on came off while eating chicken strips on a Friday night. Found another another dentist in Denton to help put the front tooth crown on mid week. I gave this Cornerstone dentist lots of redos and patience. Now you decide if you can handle this kind of craftsmanship be my guest.
