I spent an hour and twenty minutes in this office last week. About 5 were spent with Dr. Browns PA and about 3 were spent with the Dr. herself. The rest was me waiting. She didnt greet me and said something about being in surgery - clearly I wasnt a priority. Thats fine, I have mild (but annoying) acne that had recurred after 10 years of acne free living! She prescribed 5 things, one was a prescription and 4 were from her skin care line. She listed off the 4 from her line by name, but gave no explanation of their benefits, etc. I was handed a card with the schedule to follow and a brochure about the products and told that the total for the products was $185.00. It was up to the front desk to try and answer the questions I still had! I did not purchase any of the products at all and left empty handed. The PA was VERY nice, but I feel like I wasted my $30 copay and 2 hours of my day and now I have to find another dermatologist and take time off work, etc. I dont have terrible acne, but I would have still appreciated my time being valued and feeling like a patient. I wont be returning. Disheartened.

It is all about money and your insurance. Had 2 skin tags removed and was charged over $500! Dr. Brown could not explain why I was being charged so much. Told me there was nothing in her notes to indicate the excessive charge. I paid over $300 fo the removal of tags and now received a bill for the balance. I was on my second visit to have a procedure done to have brown spots treated on my face that I asked about the additional charges for the skin tags. She did not even remember seeing me the week before. But since she could not get rid of me fast enough on the first visit I guess that should have been expected. For the procedure to have the brown spots removed you are expected to pay up front before the procedure is preformed. I have spent close to $2000 for products and the procedures. Since I received a bill for an additional $154 for the two skin tags I can say I will not continue to use her services or purchase her products. I suggest you look for a doctor that has the time to spend with you and can tell you what you are paying for.

First, I am very grateful to Dr. Brown. She had the expertise to remove a skin cancer from my upper eyelid and into the lashes. I consulted other doctors who deal specifically with such cancers and they had explained that this would likely be a disfiguring surgery. This was very bad news. I looked for other surgeons. Because Dr. Brown is an expert in MOHS surgery, she was able to perform her work with very little tissue and eyelash loss and today, three weeks later, I am able to look in the mirror and see the same face, for good or bad, which I had before the cancer removal. Thank you, thank you. She and her staff are consummate professionals and her office ran like a Swiss train. Always on time and no surprises. It is with great respect and appreciation that I post this review. I am also looking forward to consulting with her on other skin restoration and protection services which she can provide to a former sun worshiper. The services she provides appear to be very promising. She has obviously done considerable home work in these areas.

I never write reviews but decided to do this one! might save you time and money! Before scheduling appointment, read all the reviews which looked pretty fake, all being 5 STARS!!! (they prolly pay people to write reviews!!! )still decided to go see the doctor or I should say a STUCKUP Cosmetologist/Beautician or may be SALES GIRL who eagerly wanted to sell me her BEAUTY PRODUCTS rather than taking a close look at my skin for any signs of cancer. The Sales girl aka doctor was there for LITERALLY 2 Mins and left me with her SALES Assistant (I wouldnt call her a doctor either) who designed a whole list of BEAUTY PRODUCTS worth of $410.00 for me to buy from their STORE (clinic). no medicine, no concern why i am there, no conscience! Very disappointed!!! shes very fake and doesnt care about her patients at all. Shes better off doing a bar soap commercials than playing with peoples health and ripping them off !!! If you read this review sitting in that stupid STORE aka clinic then RUN AWAY!!!! Now I have to look for a REAL doctor! :(

I never go thru the trouble of writing reviews but I honesty could not belive all these 5 star reviews for this doctor. Dr. Brown has the worst bedside manner Ive ever seen. My daughter was being treated for Rosacea, Dr. Brown would spend close to two minutes with us in her office. All she would do is glance at my daughter than rattle off all these creams and medications for her nurse to jot down; many of which were sold directly in her office and then she would walk out; never addressing any of our concerns. We went to our follow up appointments and nothing ever changed. Once, I literally had to stop her before she rushed out. I had to ask a couple questions about the treatment we were being given, I knew I only had a few seconds before she would rush out of the room. She was the worst experience ever and I would never recommend her to anyone.

Front desk girls were short and not friendly. I waited a long time. I made an appointment to see Dr. Brown and a physicians assistant saw me at first without my request of that change. I asked to see Dr. Brown as I left, and Dr. Brown said she was in a surgery so she thats why she couldnt see me. That sounded like a scheduling issue. No apology, and made me feel like I was in the wrong. Then she was very short to look at my conditions. She did not ask questions to discover anything. The only thing she made time for was selling me products I later saw at CVS for a much lower price. This was after I told her I was on a tight budget. I felt more like I saw a cosmetic product saleslady who didnt have time for me than a dermatologist. I will not return.

I was prescribed a body wash containing an element that I am alergic to. My paperwork clearly stated my sulfur allergy and I verbally informed the nurse. I was given a body wash, told to leave it on for 3-5 minutes. This wash contained a sulfonate that caused me to break out into ichy hives all over my body. The doctor did not advise that the wash contained a version of sulfur. I was inspected by a second dermatologist who confirmed the hives were caused by the sulfonate in the wash. My experience with doctor brown is that she is more of a sales associate than a physician. She is quick to offer her products for sale but indifferent as to how these products affect the patient. I filed a formal complaint with the medical board of texas.

the office staff is very rude and unaccommodating. Ive called several offices and all but this one were able to give me a minimum or at least a range dollar amount of what I would be charged for what I was needing since I am a cash patient. the lady who answered the phone would not let me talk to the office manager when I requested. I feel like someone above her would have known what I was asking and been more helpful but then again maybe not. My experience with the office staff has altered my perception. maybe this doctor does not need or want any new patients and if she does I hope she knows that the way the staff conducts business over the phone is a major turn off when shopping around for a specialty doctor.
