I went in as a new patient to have some skin tags removed. I had some removed before at a different dermatologist where they take tweezers and lift up the skin tag then snip it off with some scissors. Dr. Achtman stated his assistant was the best and will take care of them for him. She hacked into them and left big chunks of the tag left. I didnt notice at first because they normally bleed and I had several and just wanted to get out of there. This was done on Sat Feb 8th and on the 10th when i called in to let them know she told me to come back in and they will redo them. I advised her NO Way was i coming back to let her cut on me! I even took pictures of how bad she butchered them. I asked if they wanted to see pictures and she gave me her personal email address to send them to instead of the office. Sounds to me like she didnt want her boss to find out....Bare with me this was out of pocket because these are considered cosmetic. I feel ripped off and my neck line looks butchered. Please find a different dermatologist!

As to previous review, its hardly the doctors fault that Aetnas list was out of date or wrong. They had the option to pay out of pocket or out of network and they obviously declined. Do you work for free? Didnt think so. --------------- Anyways, I went for my first visit and was taken back to a room right after filling out my paperwork...very short wait. Nurse discussed my reason for visiting and doctor was in within 5 minutes. He was friendly, professional, thorough, listened to me, asked me if I had any questions. Had a mole removed and I literally did not feel any pain from the injection or brief procedure. Much better experience than my previous dermatologist. As such, I would highly recommend Dr Achtman.

A Private User

I made an appointment with Dr. Achtmans office to have him diagnose and treat a suspected skin cancer on my back. Upon arrival he refused to see me because my insurance coverage was Aetna Medicare Advantage HMO, not PPO. He is listed in Aetnas provider directory as both a PPO and HMO provider and has been on contract with Aetna since 2006 to care for patients under both plans. Apparently he would rather breach his contract with Aetna and violate his Hypocratic Oath than treat a patients needs, probably because hes a money grubbing scumbag who never feels like hes being paid enough.

Ive had nothing but FANTASTIC experiences here! Ive had 4 different procedures done and loved my results. Both Drs take time to communicate with you, and genuinely want the best outcomes. I love how natural looking my skin looks every time...not fake or extreme. The staff is SUPER nice and Ive never had to wait long to be seen. I was new to town and overwhelmed with options so I was referred by a friend and Im SO glad I chose DSA. Cant WAIT for my next appt...Highly recommend!

Nice office, nice staff and doctor. Ive gone here several times, mainly because I use Latisse on my eyelashes and you have to get a prescription for it. But I have him check my skin on an annual basis, just to make certain I dont have any type of skin cancer. Have had a good experience with this office. No complaints at all.

I showed up a little early, so they brought me back into the room early! Theyre timely, friendly, awesome people. I went to get a mole checked out got it removed on the same day. Apparently I was a little pale so they brought me a juice box to get my color back. They were so sweet. Definitely found my go-to dermatologist.
