I have been going here for 5 years and my doctor left. I had been doing well and kept a job and not have to ask for disability.I do agree your phone system is horrible and is taking too long to fix. On 1/13/17 I was scheduled with Dr. Townsend. I thought he would follow my treatment that has kept me working and feeling well enough to handle the other very important circumstances in my life. No he apparently felt that he had the answers. He gave me a medication which I recently tried and didnt help and he was going to increase one medication because he took one away that he said wasnt for my condition. I picked up my medication and he did not increase that medication. He did not prescribe another medication he said he would. He had fantastic ideas, all which wont work, because now I am going to struggle to be even be able to work. I now know why getting in to see him is fairly easy. I also know why your ratings are so low. My previous doctor and I discussed options and did try other things. I have had my health issues long enough that I have tried quite a few things and I know what worked and what didnt. Nothing was fantastic but it gave me some quality of life. That was worth more thsn you can imagine and you have taken that from me. I will struggle to work and lose job and of course my insurance and them all I pay for. There is no need for dr. Townsend to see or speak to any patient because it is his way or the highway. I tried to see other doctors in there and they are booked months in advance and I know why. Why would you think you know so much afrer 5 minutes of telling me about all of the studies you read. Maybe you should read my chart from a far more experienced doctor and listen to me. Also lying to me was very unprofessional. I am not a stupid woman. You do not care for your patients and I feel you wish to help other doctors line their pocket God bless you. You need it.

I have hung in with this group through all their phone glitches which were exhausting. I desperately needed a primary Dr. After running out of medication. I had gone to ER for heart attack symptoms, after being released w/meds. I had to make an appt w/primary to get more usual meds that I was out of. everything the others here found, getting a recording to leave name and number, w/call back, only to get callback with another recording, waiting yet another 20+min w/no results! Finally got Patient co-ordination who did get me in to see a fairly new MD,first visit short, meds refilled. 3mo follow-up I thought would be a physical,Im 79 w/multiple medical problems,I thought I would need to tie him to a chair to get my questions answered and Drs.to be referred For my chronic pain.i am asking for a new referral to a more mature, knowledgeable Primary, familiar w/elder care, but not one that treats me as an old wiped out, brainless older in age but not knowledge & still keeps Dr.Google handy! I know which references to look for in info. Choices with Google, so research each drug, side effects, etc.plus the same research for Drs.we do have choices!

We recently moved from Illinois and were not looking forward to the headache of finding new docs here. So, we were so happy to find, what appeared to be, a great internal medicine office near our home. I have seen Dr. Namburi twice and my husband has seen Dr. Chen once. We were both satisfied with our doctors, but unfortunately it has been incredibly difficult to make appointments for the past few months!!! The phone hold times are INSANE.....20 minutes or more, all.....the......time. Weve tried calling over 10 times, between the both of us, over the past 2-3 months and its NEVER a smooth process. Even once my husband FINALLY scheduled a next day appt last month, the office left him a voicemail to cancel in the same day and reschedule for 3 days later. When he called back (on the same day), the office didnt even have a record of his "scheduled appt" OR the rescheduled appt time either!!!???? So theres a level of disorganization that we just dont have time to deal with when there are other options available. Hence, were now back on the hunt for a great internal medicine practice in Plano with easy accessibility. Any suggestions???

Im a longtime patient at DDA Plano, and in the past the service was good and I could always get in to see my doctor for appts, or at least some doctor same-day when I was ill. NOW, however, you cant even reach them by phone to MAKE an appointment. Today Ive been waiting on the phone for 25min!! I would avoid this practice if you actually want to have any kind of communication with your doctor. When I finally got through, they claimed that HALF their staff was out for training! What kind of practice manager takes out that much capacity without expecting it to be a disaster?! This is only a partial explanation though, because their response times on the phone have been getting worse at other times as well. UPDATE- 11/28/16 Ive tried twice more in the last few months (basically 1x/month) to see if the phone issues was temporary, and theyre NOT. Today, theres a 30min wait just to speak to someone so I can get the test results from 2 months ago that I STILL have not received. I need to start looking for a replacement Internist / clinic- any suggestions?

I have been trying to see a doctor there for over a month because my mother sees a doctor in this practice and I felt it would be beneficial since the doctor knows her history with psoriatic arthritis and would be able to see if I too have this crippling disease. Over a month ago I waited on hold 30 minutes for them to tell me that a doctor had to refer me for an appointment. I have PPO insurance – I don’t need a doctor’s referral. But I went to my doctor and she sent the information over to them referring me. I called back a week later- waited on hold another 30 minutes- just to be told that their internal team has to review my doctors referral before they will set up an appointment for me... no other information, no appointment, no eta, Just Ridiculous! They obviously do not need new patients or care about their practice. I will go to someone else that gives a darn. Dont waste your time trying to go to these doctors clearly they dont need, or want patients.

I have been told Dr. Chen is wonderful however, his office does not show to be the same (I should not have said staff, I should have said phone system. I have yet to deal with his actual office staff.) I have been attempting for 5 months to make an appointment with this office but am unable to do so because, I cant get through on the phone. I went through the website and finally received an email stating I had to talk to someone to make a first appointment. I just got off the phone and waited 45 min and kept hearing the same message. It seems from the other reviews their experiences are the same. I am just wondering, how is it going to be if I HAVE to talk to someone there and cant get through? Oh well, time to go and find a Dr. at another practice.
