I went to Dr. Sklar at his 5924 Royal Lane location for a consultation about a few places on my face and a rash on my legs on Nov 6, 2013. While they were barely visible, I could feel them and wanted to be sure there was nothing abnormal. After examining all the areas, Dr. Sklar indicated there was nothing unusual or potentially harmful. Some of the places hed examined in May 2012 and said the same thing. IAll all of a sudden, he reached behind him, grabbed a silver spray can and applied Liquid Nitrogen to spots on my face and right arm. He then handed me a 4"x5" form telling me when to expect over the next 10-14 days and left the exam room. The effects listed included blistering, blood blister, throbbing pressure, and that the treated spots may turn dark. If he had discussed this with me, I would have asked if it was medically necessary (unlikely as hed already pronounced them harmless) but if so, would have made a later appointment. I had speaking commitments in the coming 12 days and would feel embarrassed if these reactions appeared on my face. Instead of the $25 consultation Id signed up for, I was given a charge of $267 of which I was required to pay $138.46. This treatment was both unnecessary and done without my permission. I would not recommend Dr. Sklar based on this.

Dr Sklar goes out of his way to make sure that I receive everything I need when I see him. (I get a skin rash about once a year and is very itchy and painful) He gets me in very quick and gets me medication to make me comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone who might need help.
