Horrible. I had an appointment with Dr. Desai a couple of weeks ago. I scheduled my appointment due to severe acne that popped up within the last few weeks. I have never had acne before in my life, and considering Im almost thirty now, I was mortified. Ive been struggling with my self confidence enough without Dr. Desais insulting remarks. For a professional to walk in and say ew upon seeing my face is completely humiliating. On top of that, he forced me to start accutane, which world require testing once a month. I explained to him that my current position would not let me off one afternoon a month for testing. Its just not possible. He continued to try and shove the product down my throat for several more minutes, then told me he would prescribe me antibiotics and said good luck in this sarcastic tone. I left his office in tears. Fast forward, I get the prescription filled. At the office, they instructed me to take the antibiotic twice a day. When I get the bottle, the bottle says once a day and it is past business hours for the Dr. office AND a Friday. The following Monday, I call the Dr. office to confirm how many antibiotics a day Im supposed to be taking. They confirm two, but my insurance only covered one bottle a time. They said when I run out (in two weeks), Ill be able to get a refill no problem, because they confirmed with the pharmacist. I go to get my refill yesterday, and I am told by the pharmacist that they STILL DIDNT have the correct prescription and I CANT get another refill since the first one was supposed to be for thirty days! And guess what?? The office was closed AGAIN. I will be calling them today, and will update with the ludicrous tale they give me this time.

**update at the bottom** I had 2 biopsies scheduled with Dr. Desai 2 weeks ago. After a week, one of the biopsy sites became infected causing so much pain, burning, and itching I couldnt function. I went back in the week after my biopsy concerned and needing some kind of solution to make it heal. Dr. Desai said nothing was wrong with it but he would prescribe me an antibiotic cream just to put my mind at ease. Here I am, a week after the follow up appointment and my wound is even worse. Ive wasted and hour at each visit just waiting to see the doctor with a toddler in tow and just to see him for a 2 minute visit. I feel like my concerns and time have been swept under the rug and completely disregarded. Still in the waiting room waiting for my 10:15 appointment (it is now 10:51). Will not be coming back here for any further issues. Also, while sitting here, 2 other patients have been in for their appointments only to be told, they had the appointment down wrong and its actually an hour later than they had in their calendar. Dont waste your time with this disrespectful and inconsiderate office. **after seeing the review above and becoming aware of how frustrating the visits have been, Dr. Desai called me personally to try and make sure we were on the same page. He seemed truly unaware of how unpredictable the wait could be from the patients perspective and was very apologetic and told me he will continue to make necessary changes to improve the fluidity of each appointment. He addressed my concerns effectively, patiently, and genuinely and I very much appreciate that. Speaking with him put a better taste in my mouth regarding his practice.

Ive tried twice now to make an appointment with this office. I give them all of my information and try to schedule an appointment weeks in advance to be prepared for any "Mishaps"...The first time I called and made an appointment they called me after I had already confirmed my appointment the DAY BEFORE and told me there was an issue with my insurance and I needed a referral...fine. I got a referral from my Dr, who by the way is in the office above theirs. Again, I scheduled an appointment weeks in advance in case anything else comes up....and again, they called me less than an hour before their office closes saying I need to contact my Dr because they need an "authorization #" for the referral and they wont call the Dr themselves. I got a hold of my Dr and called this office back, they answered the phone and asked if I will hold. Well Ive been on hold for nearly half an hour now and their office is closed. Thank you so much for wasting my time and forgetting about me on the phone.

When I made an appointment, Dr. Desai was not available, so I went with Dr. Carter. I had my finger tips cracked and got blooding. In my first visit, Dr. Carter looked at it and she immediately said it is eczema. I felt there was infection, but she was keep telling me that it is eczema. She gave a prescription of cream. I followed the direction for one month and I did not see any progress on my fingers. I had the 2nd visit as a follow-up after 5 weeks or so. She came to the room and was keep telling me it is better and it will be OK in the next 3~6 weeks. I did not feel that way and was asking a few more things, but she seemed have no interest and was in hurry to go out of room as soon as she could. No wonder, after another 6 weeks passed, I have the same problem and nothing is improved. She does not really seem to care what patients feel and try to rush in and out. She was definitely NOT a doctor I can count on.

I came to Dr. Desai with a horrible skin ailment after having visited multiple dermatologists in the Dallas Fort Worth and Plano areas. The shame and embarrassment from this disease got so bad that it kept me from work and enjoying the company of friends and family. Upon my visit with Dr. Desai, he really sympathized with my ailment and made me feel like everything would be ok, and set a course to help diagnosis and treat the skin disease. It turns out I had an unusual case of Psoriasis. It also turns out Dr. Desai is on the forefront of Psoriasis study and treatment. I am currently without any symptoms, and forever thankful for having found him. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU DR. DESAI!!!!

Just came back from Dr.Desai. Very impressive. Gave me samples and options to take care of my dark spots and my sons. Took us both at the same time too. Really accommodating too. I recently had knee surgery so getting to the office took longer than expected. They took me anyway and front desk was a lovely set of ladies. Super friendly. Daniel was Dr Desai assistant and was also super awesome and helpful. Made sure all my questions were addressed. They took way more time answering all our questions and addressing our concerns. Even left with bunch of samples so I didnt have to "buy before I try". Will be back and refer friends. Found them in D Magazine.

My PCP noticed a couple of places on my face he thought needed to be seen by a Dermatologist. Since my husband had seen Dr. Desai before, I made the appointment with him. Dr. Desai gave me a full body inspection and found 4 places he immediately treated including the 2 places on my face. He said my skin looked good. I asked him to recommend a good moisturizer for morning and night, which he did. I really appreciate the time he took with me and answering all of my questions. I also appreciate the courtesy his entire staff gave me especially his nurse, Michelle!
