I wanted to give Pediatricians of Dallas three stars d/t the wait times but I just cannot because Dr. Yaeger is such a FANTASTIC pediatrician. I started taking my daughter to him from the moment she was born 12 years ago. I cannot remember a time, however, that we have been seen on time. Maybe once or twice but it was never very excessive over the years. And believe me, Dr. Yaeger is worth the wait. Obviously, after having my son a year ago I started taking him to see Dr. Yeager as well. It seems that he must be so popular that he is running behind every time we go in. Over the past couple of years with my daughter and now with my son this past year the wait times are getting excessive, in my opinion. The last few times with my son we have waited at least 45 min past our appointment time. I have tried showing up early, tried showing up on time. Tempted to start showing up late to see if that will help. Its easy to keep a 12 year old entertained for almost an extra hour but a 12 month old? Not so much. Ha! At any rate, Dr. Yeager is wonderful. He always listens when I have a concern. Never dismisses me or makes me feel like he isnt listening or is rushed when he is with me; always answers all of my questions (which I am sure he does with all clients which is probably why he is behind.) I wouldnt take my kids to see anyone else. I do not feel this way about a couple of the other pediatricians in the practice, as some others have commented on, I always feel rushed with them. And after seeing the nurse practitioner (who diagnosed my son with an antibiotic allergy that is not confirmed but yet remains as a big red sticker on his file that I have to explain every time) for an ear infection let me leave the clinic with a prescription that was half filled out! The pharmacy couldnt fill it because there was no concentration written down and I had to have the pharmacist page the doctor after hours because no way was I letting my sick ear infection baby go without medication for another night!! The advice nurses are great and most of the front desk staff is friendly and accommodating. Request Dr. Yeager if you are going here. He really is the best in Dallas, hands down!

I am writing a review because I want to be honest with my experiences at POD. My son was born a year ago and we decided on POD on the recommendation of my OBGYN. His "official" Dr. is Dr. Curtis, but she was on medical leave for the better part of a year and she hasnt really seen my son or connected with him in any level. She has always been professional but curt and distant, and some of my worries have been disregarded or completely dismissed. I dont know that she cares for Max. Also, for the last 6 months we have been shuffled between Dr. Curtis, Dr. Yaeger, Dr. Davis and Dr. Neely. I dont know why they are so disorganized and I know my son is not a priority at the practice. Also, he has had a recurring cough since December, and now hes been getting coughing fits during mealtime and throwing up at every meal, throwing up food and phlegm. But all they tell us its that "he is fine". I am extremely worried about the carelesness for my son and my husband is looking for a new doctor as I am writing this. Lastly, last year he got his shots at the POD office and he had fever and a crying fit when we went home. I called and they said "let him cry it out". I took him to his dermatologist the next day for his eczema appointment and the derm took a look at him and said "this baby is really sick, he has an infection!, she prescribed some antibiotic and got some blood and we went home. That afternoon she called and said the blood tests showed Max had a staph infection and she couldnt believe it went undiagnosed and untreated. So, all of these issues have pushed me to the edge and I wouldnt reccomend this practice to anyone, its a shame because we like Dr. Yaeger a lot but my sons health and safety comes first. I hope this serves as a warning to other parents to be careful about where they take their children. I am looking now for a practice that is not so crowded and where we dont have to wait 30 minutes to be seen and then shown the door after 10 minutes with the Doctor.

We have been going to PODs since my daughter was born two years ago. Dr. Watkins came as a recommendation from another Dr I work with. We liked the practice so far but as my daughter started realizing where we were headed she starts screaming, crying, coughing non stop. She is just too scared of going to the DR. We have taken her to a Dentist and she did much better, but at PODs she is like a different person. Well she is two so I cant expect much from her but lately the Drs office has started stressing me out because they dont know how to work around her crying. You are a Pediatricians office for crying out loud (no punn intended) but they just want to get it over with when she starts crying and during our last visit even the Dr wanted to rush us after making us wait for 45 mins. He said "You look fine, come back when you are 3"!!!! I was totally ticked off by it and have decided to change the Dr.s I cannot control my childs crying ( I try, believe me!) but I dont want her to be treated differently because she is crying. We are going to check out a new practice. Lets hope it goes better.

Im a single dad and an older dad if that makes any difference. Each time Ive had to go to the Dr. the office staff is kind, efficient and prompt. Weve been more than a "standard" norm would be and in that out of all of the visits only one was what I would deem a lengthy wait. Even when I call in day of I expect a wait but its not ridiculous in my opinion. I do have expectations on any place I decided to subscribe to. Especially our kids. Over all love the staff- no complaints. Well, not really a complaint but an observation. Any Physician should slow down a bit and give each patient the time they feel is important and meaningful. Not a picnic but time in a fashion that doesnt seem like he or she is hurrying to run to the bathroom.

Went there for the first time today and there was a mix up about my daughter being on one of my insurance plans that would not cover her, the whole office was rude and continued to act like I was wrong and didnt know what i was talking about they hardly let me explain without telling me it didnt matter which insurance i had my daughter would be covered on it, which was a lie. I felt very disrespected and like no one cared what i had to say. They had me ask for proof of her not being on my mothers private insurance that i am on and fax or give them a letter when they could have called the number on the back of the insurance and asked themselves. Long story short the whole staff was rude and not cooperative at all.
