This is my second attempt with this Doctors office. I thought my first time calling was just someone having a bad day. I just called again today and asked if they are accepting new patients. The receptionist said “that depends on if you have insurance through your employer or the Affordable Care Act” I said neither I pay my insurance privately. She was not sure I was in their network and advised me to contact my insurance company. I explained I got their information from my insurance provider hence the reason for my call; they are in my network. She was very uncertain I was covered after I provided her my insurance ID number. She said we could make an appointment and call me 2 days before to verify insurance. I said, how much since does that make? I explained I didn’t want to waste my time having an appointment to be turned away 2 days before. Anyhow, I believe as a consumer my initial communication with a new provider of your healthcare needs should not start off with “depends”. I felt a spirit of un-helpfulness in the person answering the phone and lack of genuine fair treatment. It was inappropriate for her to handle my call the way she did. I’m sure their doctors are great! But from my gate keeper experience, I’ll have to pass.

The front desk staff is terrible. Totally unreliable. Completely bereft of any compassion, interest of the needs of the patient. Multiple times Ive faced this with this facility but it has been getting worse and worse. Today I called 25 times (yes, 25) over the span of four and a half hours to try to make an appointment with my primary physician of eleven years. A doctor I have trusted and has taken exceptional care of me over the years but could get no one to answer. This issue started about a year ago as they grew but usually by the end of the day you could get someone to help with an appointment. We should not be forced to ask for an appointment on line especially if we have another question or two or our schedules keep us from a computer for days at a time. Now Im forced to start over with a new physician even though I like mine. Its not his fault the people at the front desk are too busy doing whatever to answer the phone. I advise anyone looking for a doctor to look someplace else as nobody there has time to schedule you for an appointment. By the way every time I have been in there never have I seen less than three persons behind the desk

YOUR OFFICE STAFF IS INCOMPETENT and you did nothing but apologize for it. How about train your staff better to simply tell people the correct date and time they are being scheduled for? Is that too hard for you guys? I clocked out of work, drove all the way to this location only to show up for my 1pm appointment and be told it was actually scheduled on the day after, when I WAS TOLD ON THE PHONE IT WOULD BE TODAY. I cant make accommodations out of work AGAIN for tomorrow. And on top of it all, Im told to fast for 12 hours only to be told my appointment is for tomorrow and not for today. You wasted my time and my gas money. Your sorry excuse and apology only reflects what kind of office youre running.

I used to love this place. Dr. R is amazing, but the office is not. They never answer the phone, you sit on hold forever, and the past two appointments Ive had were unsuccessful. First, they forgot me for 45 minutes in the waiting room, and second, they didnt do the necessary work to set up my appointment. When I called to cancel/get reasons why (6 separate times by the way), no one ever picked up. Top it all off I just got a bill saying they charged my account 50 bucks for missing the appointment they botched. Ill be switching doctors ASAP sinply because of the office staff. Avoid the hassle.

This office does not hold the reputation of Baylor. Though everyone is friendly, and they have a blood clinic in the office. One stop shop! Dr. Ratnayake is a wonderful, caring doctor. That being said, her PA lacks confidence and obvious knowledge. Several times we had misdiagnosis. My husband was charged for a missed apointment he cancelled weeks in advance. We left this practice because of unprofessionalism, and it was very hard to get sick appointments with an actual doctor.

Ive been going here for years. My doctor retired so now I see a new doctor on staff. Ive never once had a complaint about any of the doctors, nurses, or PAs. They are all wonderful. The front office staff however has gone down in the last couple of years. Staff is not polite, and unprofessional. Ill continue going because I trust the doctors here. 3 stars is based 100% on the front desk staff.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Villalon here for years. He is the best Dr. we have ever had. Hes genuine, compassionate, caring, and takes time to answer your concerns. I have never experienced any trouble with getting an appointment over the phone quickly. Nor have I had any bad experiences with the office staff. Thanks Dr. V for all you do!!!

This place sucks!!! The doctors are too busy to return phone calls and the front desk cant manage something as basic as scheduling appt properly. For what medical care costs today they should really be treating their customers better than Walmart.

Veterans: Dr. Raul Villalon is veteran of the US Army and has served in Iraq, he is professional and personable and is equipped to discuss veteran health issues. Office staff is polite and will make sure you are seen quickly. Family Medicine

The doctors are great, but I mostly go to see this really cute blonde at the reception desk. Her smile is like the spring sun, her voice like a gentle mountain brook. Also, the chairs in the waiting area are comfortable.
