If you want to be treated with respect, and taken seriously, go see Dr. Stickney at FAANT! I first came to Dr. Stickney because I had chronic foot pain that worsened severely after walking in a 5k. I am plus sized, and I walk a lot every day. Dr. Stickney and the staff at FAANT took my issue seriously, and treated me with respect. That is hard to find, and harder still when you are overweight. They took x-rays and found I was on the verge of a stress fracture - probably from doing a lot of walking in bad shoes. Dr. Stickney didnt lecture me, he was nice and told me if I wore a boot for 2 weeks, and iced it rigorously, I could avoid having an actual stress fracture. I did as told and healed up perfectly in 2 weeks! Dr. Stickney suggested I get some orthotics prevent this happening again. He offered me two options, the cheaper store bought option or custom orthotics. I went with the custom orthotics and I love them! I have had less lower back pain, no foot pain and knee/hip pain just from wearing them when Im on my feet for a long time. Recently, I fell down some stairs, and I badly sprained my ankle. I went to the ER for initial treatment. However, I was having additional pain in my calf that was not helped with pain medications. So I went back to FAANT. Dr. Stickney was able to easily identify the problem that the ER had missed. He also suggested physical therapy which I was very happy about, because past experience has taught me physical therapy helps tremendously. I feel like Dr. Stickney and the staff at FAANT are on my side, and genuinely want to help me. They treat me with respect, and take me seriously. Ive seen other foot and ankle specialists in the past and they did not treat me nearly as well. I cant imagine going anywhere else.

I was originally very impressed when seen by Dr. Karp. She left the practice unexpectedly, and the remaining care was with Dr. McCreary. First, I would NOT recommend the laser treatment. It DOES NOT work for everyone and did not work for me. I developed an infection after the treatment and their office refused to see me and told me to go to the emergency room (this was during their normal office hours). I thought the treatment included re-treatment if it was needed. Given the cost of $900 which most insurances do not cover, when I went back for a check-up with no resolution of my nail fungus I was told it would cost half of the original treatment amount for the second treatment. Also, I almost felt like Dr. McCreary was disgusted by my nail, even on the first visit with him which was embarrassing. Based on the treatment not working, the cost, additional costs for re-treatment and manner in which my case was handled by Dr. McCreary, I would not recommend this office.

Can I give this zero stars? Things have changed. The last review was what, a year ago? Well, I have endured eight months of misdiagnosis, ineffectual treatment plans by Dr. Stickney, and then booted out the door when they realized they couldnt help me, without so much a phone number to different physician. These people are beyond incompetent and unprofessional. I got bills from doctors in this practice I never even saw. I cant believe they are still licensed, but it wont be long before someone brings a malpractice suit. Dont know who, but its inevitable. One visit to someone right down the street solved what eight months of Dr. Stickney couldnt figure out, and saved me from a very invasive, unnecessary surgery. Save yourself the trouble; Academy Foot and Ankle over in Southlake is definitely going to save you some headaches long-term.

I arrived 10-12 min early for a 3:20 appointment. I quickly filled out the necessary paperwork. After quickly going over the insurance benefits, I tools seat in the waiting room. Needless to say, I waited and waited, until I finally made a comment about waiting so long. There were several people who walked in after I had finished the paperwork and review of benefits, that were called back. And I still kept waiting. I called Dr Kelly Browns office, and they said they could get me right in for x-rays, which they did. The x-rays only show a sprain, and I thank God for this! When people do not respect your time, they do not deserve your business. I will never recommend Ankle and Foot Associates of North Texas.

Dr. Stickney is an amazing ankle surgeon. He put my double broken ankle back together again with no problems in 6 weeks. He is very professional, polite, caring, on time, positive, humble, yet a great trauma doc. I ride century bike rides, ran marathons, lap swimmer, so, Im very thankful I trusted Dr. Stickney for my broken fibula and tibia. My oldest son drove me to my early appts. and he also thought highly of Dr. Stickney. Dr. Nathan Stickney knows his stuff. I Highly recommend him to any of my friends or clients. Thanks Marybeth for having great docs on board when emergencies happen. Riding long rides again and could not be happier.

Absolutely the nicest staff Ive ever experienced. From prompt scheduling, explanation of charges, to my visit and payment. Every member of the staff I interacted with was friendly and kind! Dr. Steinke took the time to walk me through a better way to train for races, and prevent injury. I was incredibly frustrated walking in because I had no answers regarding my injury up to that point from other doctors, and I was eager to get back to my regular activities. Your friendly professionalism throughout my experience put me at ease quickly. I have, and will continue, to recommend your office to anyone in need of care!

Ive visited F.A.A.N.T. on two occasions in the past year, once to deal with a small wart on my heal, and another to have an bad ingrown toenail repaired with minor surgery. The staff here is very professional, kind, empathetic, and friendly. The doctor was fantastic. She took time to listen to my concerns- and was remarkably gentle in her approach; my recovery has been smooth and should the need ever arise, I will go to F.A.A.N.T. first. I highly recommend F.A.A.N.T. to anyone have foot issues. They will take extraordinary care of you! FIVE STARS!

Phenomenal office! Everyone was incredibly helpful, informative, and very comforting. I walked in, well, hobbled in without a clue to what the immense pain was in my foot and Dr. McCreary took great care of my situation very quickly by doing surgery right there! I was leaving the office in no time at all and had clear next-step (no pun intended!) instructions on how to care for and bandage my foot as well as a follow up appointment for check-up. I was comfortable and informed the entire visit, Amazing service!!!

The doctors and staff members are so kind and caring towards all of their patients! I just had my second bunionectomy with Dr. Crane and both the recovery time and pain have been wonderful! Dr.Crane is a fantastic, fun, and professional doctor whom I would recommend to friends and family. The Grapevine office is full of genuinely caring professionals who give their best every day and I wouldnt go to any other group of foot specialists. Thank you FAANT for the incredible service!
