The Eye Clinic in Helotes offers quality and dedicated service to the patients served. Quality and professional thorough eye exams followed by thorough Dr. consultations afterward give me complete confidence in the care I receive. Dr. Acosta became my eye Dr. after I encountered an eye injury in 2013. So thankful that she was here and was able to see me when that occurred. The equipment she has invested in in her office gave and continues to give me the latest condition of my injury. The relationships she has with other Dr.s in the field is superior and comforting to know. For myself with my injury was able to get me seen by a retina specialist for further review of her findings of my bungee chord injury. The post treatment received from the Eye Clinic of my injury has been absolutely the best, providing me with quality exams and detail to the continued healing of my injured eye. The eye Dr we had seen in the past was good, and provided good vision exams, however had I gone to their office when my injury occurred I would have been sent to the Emergency room. Being seem by Dr. Acosta that day, she had the equipment to get better detail of my (at the time) blind left eye due to the bleeding occurring inside the eye. Today I see with correction, my visits are very thorough as are all patient visits and my confidence that I have the best who cares about the condition of my vision is irreplaceable. The Eye Clinic is the place to go!

December 2012 was my first visit to The Eye Clinic. My vision has always been perfect my entire life so after experiencing a change in my eye sight after turning 40 years old it has been upsetting to have to use "readers" for up close vision since I turned 42. My vision has slowly gotten worse over the last couple of years so I really needed to see an eye doctor. Making my appointment at The Eye Clinic was easy and the visit with the staff and doctor was wonderful. This was the first time I had my eyes dilated so it was a little scary, but Dr. Acosta and her staff made me very comfortable through the entire process. They helped me pick out a nice frame for my very first pair of bifocals so I can just go ahead and wear a full pair of eye glasses instead of peeping over my "readers" and get rid of my "granny" look. I will turn 46 years old next month so now with my new glasses I can look and feel professional and younger once again. I never thought I would be excited to get my first pair of eye glasses, but I am. Thank you to the staff at The Eye Clinic. I highly recommend this office.

Did not have a great experience. Took my 10 yr old son in and he basically saw a stand in dr because the regular doctor was out. No big deal. She determined he needed glasses. Couldnt find anything there we liked so purchased the glasses elsewhere. A few weeks later the office called and said when Dr Costa came back she reviewed his file and wanted to see him again. In the meantime my son slowly stopped wanting to wear the glasses, said he could see better without them. Well, he was correct! They rechecked him and basically he never needed them! So I not only wasted a lot of time and money on glasses we didnt need they then charged me for this second visit!!! The actual doctor was nice and knew what she was doing but we feel taken advantage of and defiantly will not go back.

I wouldnt recommend this place. After my husband decided to get glasses instead of contacts, they told us that there would be a $40 "contacting fitting fee." They also didnt tell us until we were paying that we would have to get the expensive lens because of the glasses he picked. The owner/doctor came up to my husband and asked him to give her his contacts (the ones he had in his eyes). He didnt because he didnt have anything else to see. She also said that they wouldnt have his prescription on file when we called in to get it to "order from 1-800-CONTACTS". I think she was just upset because we werent paying for their WAY OVER PRICED CONTACTS. You can get a prescription here, but DONT BUY CONTACTS, they are way over priced!

On Nov 27th I woke up with horrible pain in my left eye; I have worn glasses almost my whole life and contacts sense my teen years. I dont have a regular doctor so I just found the closest one to me, I called the office before hours and was planning on leaving a message but instead it transferred me to the doctors cell phone. The Dr. not only answered my call but booked me as her first patient that same day! The staff are wonderful and the doctor took not time at all diagnosing my eye problem and coming up with a solution. Its only been 7 days and the cut in my eye is completely healed and Im back to 100%. I will be making this my regular eye doctor for as long as I live in SA.

We had an eye emergency and we wanted to see a specialist. Not having an eye doc (or insurance) we based our choice on location and all the positive reviews. SO GLAD we did! Dr. Acosta fit us in with no notice, the staff professionalism was top notch (and we have seen the spectrum!)...everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to help us. All that is great, and sadly, unexpected, but the real surprise was the follow-up call made personally by Dr. Acosta. Wow. She really went above and beyond in all respects to ensure my fiance was taken care of. If you need an eye doctor, I couldnt imagine a better place to go! Thank you Eye Clinic! You have customers for life!!

I have been wearing glasses most of my adult life , 25 plus years. I have only visited some of the bigger eye clinics and boy was I missing out on the customer friendly service, as I found out with my recent vist to The Eye Clinic ! There was a friendly hello, to greet me and they had my paper work almost completed so I could see the Dr. right away. The staff and Dr. made me feel like I was the only patient there that day, and that means a lot to me. The Dr. asked if I had any questions, but after the thorough explanation she gave me I was confident and completely satisfied. Also the glasses I ordered were very reasonable.

Our whole family sees Dr. Acosta at the Eye Clinic, and we have been very pleased. Their equipment and techniques are all up-to-date (no eye puff test!!) and the office is very comfortable. The staff has been nothing but friendly, and has gone out of their way to help us in frame selection and warranty replacements. Ive never had a problem getting appointments, and their location is great. As for Dr. Acosta, she is super friendly and easy to talk to, as well as very knowledgeable. This is the best eye doctor and office we have found and we love them!

My first visit was great ! Dr. Acosta was friendly , professional and provided great service at a good pace while maintaining a comfortable setting. The prelim work was done by another Dr. I did not remember his name - gentleman and very good - was able to relate to common interests as we went through the pre-exam. Both doctors made me feel comfortable through teh entire experience. I would recommend any one - particularly in teh Helotes area to stop by and get all of yuor eyewear needs taken care of in a pleasant environment.
