I dont know about the other reviewers comments, but our (my aunt and I) experience was nice. We were trying to find an affordable eye-care business that would accept her insurance, one that wouldnt be crazy-expensive, extra-helpful to a somewhat confused senior, and all-around pleasant experience. (An experience that used to be common.) As we all know, customer service is not what it used to be. The first two businesses we tried proved that theory. The first one down the street (Trinity) tacked on every extra feature she could think of and she wasnt very friendly. The second place on Marbach (Vision Now?), although friendly, the person in front was too busy to assist with any of the processes (picking out a decent looking pair, telling us the actual price of the frames, etc.) We were basically guessing and trying to make a cost-related decision based off of the brand name. While driving my aunt home, I noticed "In Focus" in a little strip mall across from Ingram mall. I ran in to ask a couple of questions. ALL of the frames were priced, my aunt qualified for an extra $50 discount off of her glasses (for reasons I would not prefer to explain here), and the lady up front was able to get her in for an examination RIGHT THEN AND THERE. All in all, my disabled aunt on a fixed income was able to get the glasses she wanted for just $75. The first establishment had the quote racked up to over $200 by the time she got out of there. I will go back to In Focus time and time again - for myself and my daughter (if they take our insurance.) Thank you In Focus for being honest and helping out the customer. You were an answer to our prayers last Saturday. :)

Not to sure what some of these reviews are talking about, as soon as you enter the staff acknowledges you. I work during the week So they offered me a Saturday appointment. Dr. Mendlovitz is so very caring and takes his time to make sure he answer all the question that you may have. He also notice something and sent me for further studies and I found out that I have a very uncommon eye disorder. Which I really appreciate. I had made an appointment for one of my children and since I was there He was able to work in another one, we all got contact eye exams and walked out with samples until our order had arrived with a good turn around time. We also were able to browse the glasses while waiting for each other. Glasses and contacts came in with a great turn around time. And of course kids will alway break there glasses so I took them back and they were under warranty and they fixed them. They have plenty of name brand current styles of glasses and are very knowledgable on the different lenses that work for you. I was really satisfied with my visit thats why Ive been a patient for 7years.I get lots of complements on my glasses Thank you Dr. Mendlovitz.

I walked in to Infoucus Eyecare on wurzbach rd. around 5pm and the lobby was empty, the two receptionists where standing behind the desk talking to each other and ignored me. After a couple of minutes one of the receptionists said " well be right with you" she walked to the back while the other receptionist started making a personal phone call telling someone how to cook dinner. After I was finally helped the lady was being really rude and not helpful at all. I described what kind of lenses I wanted and she gave me exactly what I said I didnt want. When I asked her if she could help me look for something different she seemed very frustrated so I told her I would just return at a different time. While I was still looking she went behind the desk started scratching her head and told the other receptionist that she thought she had lice! Im not even kidding! worst service ever!

We had an especially stupendous experience today at our favorite optometrists office. After the initial appointment, my wife wasnt sure the frames she had in mind would be the "right" fit. She had done research online on the best frame shape for her very strong prescription, and an employee named David graciously assisted her with picking out the frames that were just right, while explaining that its not just about what looks good but what is correct for fit, comfort, and focus (where her pupils need to be in regards to the lenses). Her old frames were ill-fitting, and she looks forward to her new glasses. Thank you so much, Infocus Eye Care Center and to David and Dr. Mendolvitz (I apologize for the misspelling of the name if incorrect).

I dread the thought of having to come here. The Dr is great but the loud, rude lady at the front is very unprofessional and doesnt know how to treat customers. She always seems like she just got out of bed and is very unorganized. My family has been coming here for about seven years, so i dont want to change but the staff has not gotten any better. All of the bad staff from the past could never compare to this horrible lady. i have witnessed her treat customers very badly every time we are at the office, which is about six times per year for appointments and to pick up glasses/contacts. The wait time when you have an appointment is always very long as well. Again, I like the Dr but he really needs to clean house again.

I was desperately looking for a place to get my kids eyes checked at Ingram mall. No one at the mall seemed to be able to help me. On my way back home I see a infocus eyecare center in a small shopping strip. I walked in and they were able to take my kids in right away! They had a large selection of frames there and the staff was very kind and helpful. Dr. Mendlovitz was very kind and patient. The whole experience was great and I will continue to take my family there. Thank you infocus!

Terrible! First time and LAST time patient. My family and I waited nearly 2 hours to be seen. When I asked how much longer, the ladys up front couldnt figure out why we still hadnt been seen and that it was the drs fault for our chart being in the wrong place. So unorganized and still waited another 20 minutes just to still not be seen. So irritating and disappointing Ive never dealt with this non sense at an eye place. If I could give no stars I would!

Ive been coming here for years, even when I moved further away, this is my favorite location. Dr. M. is very polite and professional. The staff is friendly and setting up an appointment is easy( Zero wait time!). They even call to remind you of your appt. You can order your glasses and contacts right after your eye exam. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

They take long for the glasses to come in and they gave me an appointment i had to weeks to see and then told me the day of the appointment that i had to reschedule and when i did, they call me again on that appointment day that i had to reschedule again and they wouldnt even work with me. Id give a no stars if i could. 000000

theyre glasses are high priced there rude theyre dirty nasty this aint the place you want to come to the have your eyes checked for anything they think theyre so high class and everything so expensive and the people behind the counter so very rude theyre supposed to be professionals
