My dog has been vomiting a few times over the last couple weeks, which I thought was abnormal so I brought him here. After receiving a bill of $970 (included X-rays) I was told that there was no definitive answer as to why he was vomiting and that the normal vaccines he required could not be administered in this visit because he "appeared uncomfortable & nauseous". The reasoning was that he "just seemed uncomfortable" and he was "licking his lips". So they said to come back in 2 weeks, at which point I will be charged AGAIN for the exam/consultation that he received today. It would be a reduced fee, instead of $54.50 it would be $37. What. First off, those actions are completely normal for him. He licks his lips all the time, ever since he was a puppy, it actually means hes happy. And if he was uncomfortable, what would that even matter?? Its a vet! Pets can be uncomfortable there, thats normal, and a ridiculous reason not to treat him AND to charge me AGAIN for redundant services. The whole explanation has holes in it and is generally sketchy (do they not treat any pet who "appears uncomfortable" just to double charge at a later date??) I used to bring my dog and my 3 bunnies to this veterinary hospital but theres no way Im going back; lack of treatment and over-charging isnt acceptable. In addition, they did not allow us to be with our dog when they performed their routine examinations (no surgery); the doctor only spoke to us for a couple of minutes; and when we visited before they changed their name, our dog was 80 lbs and was not considered to be overweight however, today 82 lbs is considered "overweight".

I have been a client of the Animal Medical Center of the Village for a long time. I consider Dr. Dan Jordan to be the best small animal and bird vet in the state if not a farther reach. I have seen him many times and twice on an emergency basis which the clinic honored. He and his staff have saved Chicos life twice and are now treating him for a serious illness with remarkably good results. Chico is happily at home with me and enjoys a great quality of life thanks to this dedication. Throughout the years I have always been treated professionally and efficiently by any staff member or tech. The new facility is awesome! Dr.Jordan and the entire staff at Animal Medical Center couldnt be nicer to deal with. Dr. Jordans skills with my Blue Front Amazon, Chico are unsurpassed and his charges for his expert treatment of Chico have always been more than reasonable. The technicians are all terrifically friendly and helpful whether I am there at the clinic for an appointment with Melissa or just receiving an reminder call from Ashley. He is not stressed at all when he has to make a routine visit. I trust all the staffs judgment regarding Chicos care 100%. Chico and I have been clients for over 20 years and we would not even consider visiting another vet in the area ever.

Animal Medical Center of the Village has, time and again, gone above and beyond the call to help me and my furry critters out. Dr. Kaplan-Stein has worked with me on numerous occasions to ensure that my pets get the care they need. The new facility is spectacular, they have state of the art equipment, are well connected with other resources if they cannot meet your needs. Dr. Kaplan-Stein even spoke with specialty vets from LSU and the Houston Zoo to get the best possible advice for surgery on my guinea pig. I seriously couldnt ask for a better vet. And, when my other guinea pig became unexpectedly ill, they did everything they could for me. Sadly, he did not pull through. To my surprise, I received a note from the Arbor Foundation. Animal Medical Center had made a donation in my guinea pigs honor and a tree will be planted in a national forest with his name registered with it. Ive lost other animal companions over the years and never has a vet made such a meaningful and lasting impression on me in the way they handle this loss. Knowing that there is a lasting tribute to my baby means everything to me.

We took our male sugar glider to get his little pom pom snipped yesterday so we wouldnt have any more babies and to hopfully cut way way down on his aggression! They are amazing. The wait was maybe 30mins im sure due to them putting us in the system and all. Once they called us back they were very ready to answer what questions and worries we had they handled our aggressive guy very well. Offered to trim his little nails for us no extra charge...the surgry was very quick we had time to eat quickly and briefly stop at petsmart by the time they called us to pick him up. The surgry was lazer which was great and he didnt need a cone after to keep him from hurting himself. His recovery so far has been like nothing ever happend he is good as gold. If i could i would give this place 10 stars im truly amazed at how they handled everything :)

We have known Dr. Jordan for many years but came back full time when one of our favorite pups was dying. We met Dr. Kaplan-Stein then and she has become the doctor for our new fur-babes. The new place is state of the art but still homey. We dont mind coming in early and waiting for our appointment. We watch animal videos, watch the fish or talk to the bird ambassador. Dr. K-S recently helped us get through a scary illness with our girl Danielle. We dont know what we would do without them. Excellent assessment skills on this team, the entire team!

I cant say enough about how wonderful Dr. Jordan and the rest of the staff at Animal Medical Center of the Village. Dr. Jordan is one of the most caring, compassionate Veterinarians Ive ever met. I come from a family of veterinarians (mother, father and sister), and I worked for my father, so I have been around many. Dr. Jordan came recommended by a friend and I havent been a client for very long, but he is so very kind and genuine, I will be taking all other pets, current and future, to him only!! Thank you Dr. Jordan and staff!!
