On February 25 I visited Garza Dental for the first time and last time. The dentist office seemed to be friendly but I had no idea that the dentist, Garza would try to hurt me on purpose to teach me a lesson. At 9 am when I arrived, there were at least 3 other patients with the same appointment time. When I was called back, there were two dental assistants who took what seemed like hundreds of pictures of my teeth. This took about 30 minutes. I believe they were stalling. The partition between myself and the other patient was a curtain. I heard the dentist discussing with him all of his medical history. The dentist, Garza, came to check my teeth for cavities, and called them out to the dental assistant. She discussed with me about getting my wisdom teeth removed and cavities filled and then was preparing to dismiss me. I inquired about getting my teeth cleaned, which is the reason I made an appointment. She said she’d do the cleaning on the next visit when she did the fillings. I wasn’t sure when I’d be able to come in again for fillings so I requested the cleaning be done that day. She told me that she normally does cleanings and fillings in the same day. Not sure how true this is for her normal routine but my husband was able to have his cleaning completed and then scheduled a return visit for his fillings. I wasn’t sure why she wanted me to return for a cleaning when all I had done were X-Rays by her tech and a short exam with her. I told her I wanted my teeth cleaned at this visit and she said that she likes to do the fillings and cleanings together while my mouth is numb. I didn’t understand why my mouth had to be numb for a cleaning but I soon found out. She seemed annoyed. She had her assistant to ask me to move to another partition. I went to the first chair in her office. She started to clean my teeth with some really loud, sharp screeching broken-sounding drill machine. My teeth felt like they were being electrocuted. It was very painful and uncomfortable. I begin to squirm; I was trying very hard not to grab her arm to push it away. The saliva in my mouth was collecting and she had the vacuum just hanging out of my mouth. She allowed the water and whatever else shooting out of my mouth to go everywhere including in my face. She didn’t try to give me eye-wear or any protective gear. To be fair, she didn’t have any on either, perhaps because she knew I wasn’t going to last through that horrible painful cleaning. She barely stopped to give me a break. I squirmed so much and she kept going not showing any bedside manner or compassion for the pain I was in. Ms. Garza’s assistant passed by with a smile and she finally called over her assistant to vacuum. She kept going even though she and the assistant saw how uneasy it was. I eventually made her stop. It was terrible. She told me that she advised me to wait until next time. I told her I had never felt nothing like that in my life for a cleaning. She said she warned me. I had no idea that she was saying to me I needed some type of numbing to have my teeth cleaned, I thought she was referring to having my cavities filled. I told her this. I told her she didn’t say my cleaning would be painful. She seemed like she didn’t care, she was very “as a matter of fact” and nonchalant. I’m still so very angry. I told her that I had no idea she was going to try and hurt me on purpose because I wanted my teeth cleaned at my cleaning appointment. She didn’t floss my teeth, or brush them. She only used that machine and was preparing to be done. Her front desk assistant came in the partition to tell her I paid for fluoride. She rubbed some on her gloves, and then put it on my teeth with her finger. This dentist really did a number on me. I will never trust her again with my teeth, and she can’t forget about me bringing my baby there ever again.

My first time visiting this dentist was 2 days ago. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment because I was a new patient; however, I wasnt seen until 30 mins after my scheduled appointment time. In fact, if I hadnt said anything I would of waited longer. They stated they were trying to verify my insurance, however, I provided the information a month ago whenever I scheduled my appointment thinking they would have verified it before I got there like most Businesses. I was given x-rays, and the Dentist spoke at me rather to me as she insulted all my previous dentists before. She then recommended a deep cleaning and stated "her staff" would call my insurance to get permission for the cleaning and someone would call me back to schedule the appointment. However, I never heard from anyone, so I called back myself. The staff was confused and didnt know what I was talking about or who I was after I stated my name several times. Basically, no one verified anything or followed up with me. In addition, I was NEVER given a treatment plan! The staff along with the dentist are ALL very unorganized, unprofessional, and clueless on how to provide services. Not to mention, will speak in Spanish to each other in front of non speaking patients; very rude! I would not recommend going here or EVER return again. I will be looking for another dentist in the Jersey Village area, please let me know if you know of one. Thanks!

Garza Dentist was my first and last visit. The staff was very friendly making the appointment, but not as friendly during my visit. I actually scheduled an appointment, but had to wait 30-35 minutes during my scheduled appointment before being called to the back for an exam and after doing so it was very clear that this particular dentistry is lacking (DDS) staff and communication with their employees not to mention their patients. Dr. Garza is very knowledgeable at her craft, but from a business prospective they lost my vote. I should not have to call my insurance provider to see if the dentistry office had followed up with them in submitting my x-rays and other exam to get the process going. Its been over a week and Ive not yet receive a phone call or any type of follow up informing me of my status pertaining to my visit. FYI when being insured you primarily get 1 free exam per 6 months and any additional exams before the 6 months is up you are responsible to come out of pocket so unfortunately in my case it looks like thats what I will have to do to receive the proper customer satisfaction. Have a blessed day all.

I was shocked to see the review about the Doctor not seeming to care about the patients. Ive always felt the exact opposite. 6 year customer. I neglected my mouth 30 years. I was never talked to condescendingly like other dentists did because of my history. I dont have the credit to do everything I need at once, but shes made me a plan and constantly working to expedite things she feels are critical. I have the utmost confidence in her, and best of all she talks to me, and tells me how far along she is in a process, explains to me how the process works, and when she sees me getting impatient or uncomfortable, stops and gives me a break for a few minutes. I am not an easy patient to deal with, she makes me feel more comfortable. I have referred a few friends who tell me they will never go anywhere else.
