When I first attempted to use this place I was shamed for wanting to get my Dobes ears cropped..I went elsewhere but returned here giving them the benefit of the doubt and to be honest I did understand how some may feel about this procedure. My mistake was in coming back. I was harassed every time I took my pup in for shots that I missed one but explained every time that it was given by the vet who cropped her ears...I even gave them the phone number twice! This last time I went in was the last straw. I asked to change heart worm preventative because my dog hates taking the chewable one she is on and was told Id have to bring her in for blood work...WHAT? Im simply changing brands....shes only 1 yr old, been on hw preventative since puppyhood. To this she states, that I have missed a month or perhaps it was two, but I corrected her and said, NO, shes not missed a single month. Prior to my buying the 6 month supply here, I had two doses from the clinic that cropped her ears. So, I asked if she still has to have blood work just to switch brands, yes I am told. With this I asked if I could talk to the vet about this, the tech returns and says, vet says I can only buy heart guard because I had mentioned wanting a brand they do not carry. Now I ask if I can just get a written prescription so I can shop around and do my homework on the different brands. No, she says the vet "decided I CAN buy the hw but only from her without a blood test" otherwise no written script. Wait, WHAT? Does my dog need a blood test or are they FORCING me to buy from them? Now I realize, its NOT AT ALL ABOUT MY PET, BUT ABOUT $$$$! I insist on a written script and she says, well youll have to sign a release...FOR WHAT?? Finally the vet comes out to speak to me. She looked at me and said, "well, Ill call the other vet you used and verify what youre telling me". So now she basically calls me a liar in her lobby with others all around. Ridiculous! These people are really rude...all about the almighty $$ and that was clearly proven to me today. If she felt my dog NEEDED a new blood test then why was she willing to sell the HW preventative to me but when I wanted to save some $$ ordering online she didnt want to allow it without blood work and ultimately some ridiculous meaningless release when I pointed all of this out to her! SERIOUSLY? This all goes on out in the open so carelessly and rudely, right in the front lobby with clients waiting. It was a three ring circus all just to buy heartworm preventative for my dog. Maybe professionalism doesnt matter to her but I was very embarrassed not mention I was alarmed that a Doctor of Veterinary medicine would behave in such a way as to make it blatantly clear that she only cares about getting my money.

I first went to the ACC under very sad circumstances about 1 year ago. My 14 year old cat Chloe had been sick for several years, and I finally had to put her to rest. I moved to Humble and could not make a 4 hour drive to my small hometown vet. I could not imagine having to explain to a vet that had never seen me nor my cat why I needed to do this. After talking with my husband and mother-in-law she directed me to the Animal Care Center. I am so thankful that I made this decision. The office staff was friendly and understanding. After speaking with the Dr. they understood fully why the decision had been made. They were very slow and patient, and eased me and my sweet baby girl through the whole process. The did not rush me in any way, as I spent some quiet time with her after it was over. I decided to have her cremated and the ashes returned. They called me the following week and I went to pick her up. About 2 weeks later I received a sympathy card in the mail. It was a very sweet gesture. Today I just made an appointment to get our two new kittens spayed and neutered :) I was very happy with the prices. I rarely write reviews but I know how important it is to find a Doctor (not only for us humans) and a clinic where you feel comfortable. Hope this helps someone else out there.

This is a vet that is truly in it for the right reasons. Shes has taken care of our animals for several years and I never had a displeasing visit. Her staff always has a smile and always there to help. With every visit I had, the prices were always lower than expected. Being in the medical field myself, when someone charges for services well below the "going" rate it is a sign that they care more about their patients than they do about the money. This vet is absolutely amazing and there is no amount words that can explain how awesome this vet is. She also sponsors neuter and spay clinics for those interested. We used "Neuter for a Nickle", and yes is was only a nickle, for our male cat.

I drive over 30 minutes and past at least 10 vets to get to this vet. Dr. H is very caring and amazingly affordable. She gives you her opinion on treatments, will discuss other options or lack thereof, and will actually get on the phone with you (vs have a tech call) if you have further questions once you leave. The amazing thing is, she does all this and doesnt charge the same as most vets for surgical care. I was quoted close to $600 for a dental on my husky at several vets in the area....she did it for under $200. Also, she recommended against surgery on my ancient cat but gave me an alternate plan for treatment. Love this place!

I have taken my Chocolate Lab to Dr. H since we purchased him from the breeder which was almost 9 years ago. In fact, the breeder took my dogs mother and father to the same Vet. She and her staff are exceptional and caring of my dogs needs. She is well versed on the lastest and greatest in animal care. Her prices are affordable and shes also an excellent surgeon. She truly has a heart for animals. I drive all the way from the Galleria area of Houston to bring my dog to Dr. H for first class care. Also, Check out her new office its fabulous!

Recently relocated from Houston to this area so this was our first time visiting Animal Hospital of Mid-County. I give this place a two thumbs up!! Myself and my dog loved the staff. They were very friendly, organized and on time with our appointment. Dr. Wille was very thorough and took his time examining my dog as well as took his time explaining information and instructions to me. Definitely happy with my choice in veterinary clinics!

I have been taking my 6 year old Schnauzer for over 4 years. The pasted 9 months she has had ear problems. They gave her antibiotics and a spray...$400 later and 3 trips I took her to Highlands vet with in 24 hrs she shows no signs any ear infection. They paked her ears.
