1 review 1.0 star rating 5/9/2017 If you need a vet who has skill and also COMPASSION then see someone else before going to this vet at Premier Vet Hospital. If you have deep pockets then this is your vet otherwise be prepared to take your animal somewhere else entirely. Also, be prepared to have the staff question your finances and ability to pay as soon as you walk in the door with questions like "Is your check good?"OR "Will it go thru?" This happened BEFORE any work had been done! How incredibly embarrassing and uncalled for. We were treated like trash. We brought our gravely ill dog to see Dr. Hogue and before our dog could even get a thorough exam we had forked over $951 to this establishment. We knew it was going to be costly for 24 hour observation but this vet really just didnt care about our animal or helping him. That was the most heartbreaking. She found so many health issues that she said needed her intervention and basically told us that we either would have to spend THOUSANDS of dollars or just go ahead and put our dog to sleep. She told us that she had two dogs at home. To quote her, verbatim: "One that I really love, who is my favorite and the other...barked to much and I wouldnt care if it got hit by a car." Yes, she REALLY said that. Our 12 yr old son was with us and is still traumatized by what happened at this vet. We ending up leaving, taking our dog with us, after being quoted another $1500.00 just for our dog to stay one night. That was May 1st, 2017. Today May 9th, 2017 our dog is at our hometown vet still alive, doing really good and without needing HALF of what Ms. Hogue said he would need done to survive. He should be coming home soon! Make your own conclusion but I will say that our dog is a part of our family and we felt like we were put in horrible position and we will never forget how our dog and our family were treated. This was absolutely NOT what we expected to have happen and sorry we ever made that first phone call to ask about treatment at this hospital. Unprofessional, not at all compassionate and out to bleed you dry.

I was recommended to this clinic by someone, and I am very happy with the care that Scraps received here. Scraps had a uterine infection that I brought her in for, and she ended up being treated for worms and a blockage in her intestine, as well. They let me drop her off to be examined until I got off work, and called me before and after she went in to surgery. I believe their prices were quite fair for the treatment she received, and they did not act condescendingly towards me when I asked about the costs of her treatments. Dr. Hogue and her staff were all very kind and patient, and they treated Scraps with a high level of compassion and dignity. The office, kennels, and exam rooms were exceptionally clean and tidy. I would recommend anyone in the Tyler area to this clinic.

There is no comparison when it comes to the care and attention given by the vet and staff. I have never seen a staff member or Dr. Hogue have a bad day or not smiling. They truly care for my babies and their positive attitudes make the visit so worth it. They may not be the cheapest in town, but you will also never receive the cheapest service from them. Great vet and would recommend time and time again!

I have taken my two girls (GSDs) to Dr. Hogue and Premier Veterinary Hospital for over two years now and have found it to be a great experience for my dogs. Dr. Hogue is a great Vet and takes the time needed to make sure my girls are healthy. The staff is great and above all friendly and helpful to whatever needs we have. It is certainly very easy to give Premier and five-star rating!

This veterinary hospital is amazing! They are open during the day and available for emergency after hours. Our dog received excellent care while there and they kept us informed the entire time. The prices were fair and reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Hogue and the staff at Premier Veterinary Hospital for all of your pets routine care and EMERGENIES!

Dr. Hogue and staff go the extra mile when caring for our pets. We called late one evening after our daughter rescued a kitten in need of treatment. Dr. Hogue responded immediately and met us at the clinic within fifteen minutes of our call. They truly care for our pets and for that we are appreciative. We highly recommend Premier Vet.

They have always been SO good to me and my pup! As a college student, the doctor made sure to only prescribe treatments and meds necessary to treat my dog. Theyre also great about last minute/emergency appointments, always willing to work with you and your busy schedule. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

The ladies here were exceptionally friendly and kind to my cat. Everyone was knowledgeable and the facility was inviting. I was very nervous about my companions surgery, but everyone was very understanding and comforting. We had an excellent experience (at an affordable price) and will be back for future visits.

Dr. Hogue and the staff at Premier are absolutely wonderful! Not only do they make my dog feel comfortable and loved, but me too. I would recommend them to anyone needing care for their pets, no matter the service. The office is extremely clean and a very nice atmosphere. Premier is wonderful!

We are new in town and we are very pleased that we found Premier Veterinary Hospital. The staff are very friendly and professional and Dr. Hogue is great. The exam rooms are huge and clean. They also offer grooming and our labradoodle loved it. Highly recommended!

Premier is an awesome vet hospital. Had a busy schedule both times I took my dog but they let me drop him off in the morning and pick him up after work at no charge. They were very clean and attentive to my dog and I have had no problems with them.
