DO NOT EVER SEE THIS DOCTOR!!! Not only did he misdiagnosed my daughter, he spent 2 minutes with her, said she had a cold, and sent her home. When I called the next day and said shes wheezing, GETTING WORSE, he said to bring her back and he would look at her again. He told me not to worry, it was just a bad cold. He charged me another $145. By day three, she ended up in the emergency room and was diagnosed with strep throat and bronchitis. The doctor told me that the doctor should have done a strep test and prescribed antibiotics. When I called the doctors office and told them what happened and that I was upset for misdiagnosing her and putting her health in jeopardy, the office manager said "If youre not happy, dont come back." and hung up on me. This is not an office who cares about their patients. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, TIME OR RISK YOUR HEALTH. HE DOESNT CARE!!!

Dr. Overn is a nice man, and be has helped me in the past. However, when my health was actually in danger he not only set false expectations, but completely misdiagnosed my condition. When my health was in danger and I thought he was a doctor I could trust, I was turned away and my health suffered for it. It took me 48 extra hours to go to the emergency room and get a recommendation for a real doctor. This doctor is untrustworthy. Please note, this is an updated review. My first visits were wonderful - but as I said above, ones doctor needs to be there for one during times of sickness, pain, and health. We turn to our doctors almost as a member of our family, to help us when we are sick and in need of health care. This is not a doctor one can rely on when it comes down to it. Its very hard to find a good family doctor, Im sorry this isnt the one.

He might be a good doctor but his receptionist and nurses are really stupid and careless. They refused to see me because they thought I needed to go to an emergency room even though all I needed was for the doctor to check my upset stomach. Obviously if Im that sick to the point that I need help right away I would go to the emergency room myself Im not stupid. They are not the doctor so how should they know what I need? If that is the case then whoever that is sick should go to ER and not visit a doctor in his office. I will never go there and tell everyone not to go there. If you have a cold you should go to ER and not to your family doctor. How stupid is that?

Ive been seeing Dr. Overn for about 20 years. He knows my history and is always straight forward and thorough with his diagnosis. The times when I had something beyond his area of expertise, he has always referred me to reputable, respected specialists. (one turned out bad, but it was not due to Dr. Overn). His staff is by far the best of any of the 4-6 Doctors staffs I see on a regular basis. Always friendly, they bend over backwards to make sure I get what I need, that any referrals that Dr. Overn makes, go through for me and if I need prescription refills, they are always a huge help. I guess thats why Ive been going back for 20 years!!!

I was one of Dr. Overns original patients from the early 1990s. Dr. Overn has treated my wife and my two sons, as well as me, over the years and I have no complaints. Most of the staff have been with him from the 90s and I have a great relationship with all of them. This staff has seen me through numerous miladies over the past 2 decades and Im still alive and kicking. I can make no higher recommendation than that. I am always treated with respect and they all listen when I comment and answer when I inquire. Wait times are the best I have ever experienced in any medical situation. Dr. Overn and his staff get my highest recommendation.

Dr. Overn misdiagnosed me for 2+ years, a mistake which couldve/shouldve been fatal for me. He tends to try to diagnose everything to be related to anxiety. Not only that, when I visited him with concerns about my condition, he played it off as if I was overreacting and made me feel idiotic for even being concerned about it. When I was finally diagnosed, I had stage 4 cancer. A type of cancer that is typically very aggressive and shouldve been very bad within 2 months. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. His office staff, on the other hand, are awesome people, which is the only reason he got two stars.

Many years ago I was a patient of Dr Overns and my husband was as well. My husband was diagnosed with several conditions he did not have and only learned the truth when he visited another Dr. He was taking a lot of medicine that had many dangerous side effects with no reason. My experience was one of the Dr calling me stupid when I explained to him my motives and desire to quit smoking,. I left the office in tears but gave up my thirty year habit and have not smoked in 12 years. I still shudder when I think of the damage that was so possible for us and others.

Worst experience I have ever had with a Dr. ("this too shall pass" was the diagnosis) I had the Flu and was not tested for it. I was flat on my back for almost a week. 2 weeks to fully recover. They called with one follow up and I said I was worse. I called the next day to say I was worse. No call back. I asked for a Dr. excuse for work. He said I could only be excused for the day I was there. Horrendous...Thank goodness I have a strong record at work. Someone else could have real problems from this place.

The good news about Overn Family Medicine - it is easy to get an appointment. He does not ever seem to be very busy. The bad news - he is not very good. He wants you to come in for an appt every 3 months - and then he forgets why. He does not keep up to date on your medications. He will not call in a new prescription until you come in again. How many people abuse blood pressure medication? He allowed my blood pressure to spike and put my health in jeopardy. I will never go back.

I have been going to Dr Overn for over 15 years and he has always been very professional and an awesome doctor. If you are looking for someone to throw you some quick pain meds and antibiotics instead of determining if you have a cold or a viral infection then you need to go somewhere else. He is very careful in giving out meds for which I appreciate. If you are looking for the other then go through the drive thru Care Now and be done.

I am very upset after having carved out half of my afternoon to see Dr. Overn for the first time. I filled out all the paperwork, had his Medical Assistant go though my health history only to be sent away because he is not an internal medicine doctor and he would not take me. No one ever asked me any questions when I made the appointment, the medical assistant didnt blink an eye going over medical history....back to square one!
