3 terrible experiences with Dr. Thompson and Alpha Orthopedics. Will find a new MD. First appointment was a walk in and saw the PA. The x-ray was inconclusive and I had to be the one sort of pressuring the PA to do an MRI. Low and behold, the MRI showed an injury and required treatment for 12 weeks. Second appointment was the follow up to the MRI and we saw Dr. Jon Thompson and the entire time it was rush, rush, rush. Trying to inquire about the treatment yet it seemed like he wanted to go to the next appointment and not give us the time we needed. Third appointment and after 30 minutes had to inquire about our wait. Was informed the employee didnt verify benefits and that was the hold up. Patient after patient that signed in after us and was seen before us. In addition we got there 10-15 minutes early. So we waited 40-45 minutes prior to inquiring about the delay. Then when we got into the examining room, sat there for 45 minutes with nobody coming to us. After 50 minutes, we just left. No call from the office asking where we went or what was going on. Will find a new doctor.

My son recently broke his pinky figure and our family doctor referred us to see Dr. Jon Thompson who is supposed to be a hand specialist. However, Dr. Thompson never examined my sons injury and simply sent out someone (who apparently has no needed training or experience and has no idea about what she is doing) to put a cast on my sons figure. And we were told to come back in four weeks to remove the cast and his figure will be back to normal. However, when we came back after four weeks, we found out that the fractured bone has moved to the wrong location and fused there. Now my son has to go through multiple surgeries, and rehabilitation to correct this issue. He may never regain the full functionality on that figure. He has to suffer through the physical pain and we will have to suffer through financial and emotional sufferings. Due to Dr. Thompsons negligence and incompetence, a simple fracture turned into major nightmare.

My mom fell this morning and we were on our way to the hospital when we were referred to Alpha Orthopedics instead. They told us to come right in. Donna (who totally rocked) helped us register, complete all necessary forms for insurance, and made sure my mom was comfortable while we were waiting. Within 20 minutes, Darrick took us back for the initial screening. Dr. Bruce Markman came in shortly after, examined her shoulder/wrist/knees, ordered imaging and then came back to follow up and explain her treatment process. All of this occurred within 90 minutes. We would still be in the ER if we hadnt come here. Alpha Orthopedics, Donna, Darrick, & Dr. Markman are AWESOME! Great job team! I will definitely refer anyone I know to this practice. We experienced exceptional customer service, professionalism, and intentional compassion & patient care. Thank you Alpha Orthopedics.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE Dr T and Brian! The staff is AWESOME!! they care about my needs and do everything possible to reduce any pain i had from the surgeries i had on my leg. I had my tibia crushed and another Dr did the first procedure, leaving uneven tibia plateau and severe arthritis. Dr T and Brian were GREAT. They went in twice to remove and clean up the bones and hardware and did a full knee replacement. They were also wonderful with my 3 year old daughter, taking time to talk to her and make her feel important to the situation. Brian made sure that all our questions and concerns were addressed, making sure i had everything i needed to heal comfortably. I recommend these Drs to anyone looking to get ANYTHING taken care of.

Absolutely the worst. My wife had a simple procedure done that required an x-ray. Their x-ray machine was broken and my wife was refereed across the street to Baylor Regional Medical Center. The x-rays cost $342.23 per knee. I had the same procedure done a month earlier down the road at Performance Orthopedics and Sports and the X-ray only cost $70.00. When I called Alpha Orthopedics and complained they acted all surprised that Baylor would charge that much and did absolutely nothing to help. My suggestion is to stay away from this place unless you have mega bucks you dont mind wasting on a doctors Porsche payment.

Ive been a patient at Alpha Orthopedics almost five years. Dr. Jon Thompson did my L knee arthroscopic surgery in 2013. I only lost three days work time, with excellent PT & follow-up. Im a 71 year old active senior...I trust the entire AO System. Yes I have to wait sometimes...these are excellent clinicians...the word is out...so they have become extremely popular & needed. Entire support staff is professional, kind, & willing to go the extra effort to make sure their pts are safe & cared for. Thank you, MmLeal

I had a full hip replacement done by Dr. Toulson and his aide Brian Hambrick. They did a wonderful job. I was walking around the hospital the day after surgery. They have followed up and cared for me in a manner that singles them out as caring professionals. Today, two years later, my hip implant feels just as normal as my other hip and they are still following up to make sure Im OK. I would recommend these doctors without reservation. The proof is in the results and their caring and friendly manner.

I took my daughter to see Dr. Toulson for the first time this summer and the experience was fantastic. He provided outstanding care, was extremely thorough, and did what I think all great physicians do...listen to their patients. We never felt rushed and he was extremely patient with all of my questions. I would highly recommend Alpha Orthopedics to anyone seeking orthopedic services. You wont find a more competent and caring practice anywhere.

Alpha Orthopedics has patient friendly services. The patient friendly service starts when you are greeted from the front desk down to the assistance from their medical staff in the back. Everyone handles their duties so professionally. Very good with their services. The therapy downstairs is the best! Alpha Orthopedics is the best! I wanted the best and everywhere I looked I was pointed to the direction of Alpha Orthopedics.

From my initial contact with his office and all through the treatment process, everyone has been friendly, professional and answered all of my questions. i had a partial knee replacement on august 20th 2013 and out on the golf course 6 weeks later. My recovery was totally painless. It is almost unbeleivable. My walking without gimping and pain was immediate. The knowledge and follow-up by the office staff rates a 5 0f 5. Thanks ps.I have already recommended Dr. Toulson to two friends

I had a total knee replacement there and I had a good experience with Dr Toulson, how ever the surgery coordinator was not good. Incorrect information several times, they had weeks to send pre-op blood work to the facility doing the surgery, did not send it!!!! Honestly, that was just one example. The billing is inaccurate. etc.

Alpha orthopedics went out of their way to find a surgery spot for me on a day the Dr normally does not do surgery. They are very friendly and careful with you. The Dr patiently explained what he could do to fix my problem. Am very impressed by their caring professionalism.
