Honestly, I think most (not all, but most) of the clinics that Ive been to have had very friendly staff and doctors working there. Whether they be for optical care, dental care, family medical, or whatever, it seems like people who go into the healthcare industry genuinely (usually) want to help people, and it shows with they way they interact with them. However, in Tricons case, it does NOT show in the overall way they treat their customers, at least me. Ive been a regular here for the last three years, and for at least the last couple years, every time I come, there is at least a 30 minute wait, even though I have an appointment. I come during work hours, thats just not acceptable. Secondly, they charge some obscene prices for things that are really probably not necessary. I didnt notice this at first while my health insurance was better, but now that I have a deductible, I notice how ridiculous it is. The best example happened a few days ago when I went in because my right eye was irritating me after I tore a contact lens in it. I thought maybe the torn piece was still in there, but it turns out the eye was a little irritated. After waiting 30 minutes to see someone, they spent 15 minutes with me and said "oh, theres nothing but a little inflammation, youll be fine... by the way, that will be $80". Ive never had to pay anything like that for similar appointments with my dentist, why should this be any different for a regular, paying patient? In addition to that, theyve messed up my contact lens prescription before, and I ordered underpowered lenses. Im done with Tricon.

Dr Them Vu - I had a somewhat complex cataract situation, with my right eye having a very opaque, what they call "Mature" cataract, so it was difficult for Dr Vu to visually resolve the right power of implant for me, but she used the great high tech equipment and got my implant perfect. I have 20/16 vision in that eye, better than perfect. I couldnt be happier. The other eye, which was not as complicated, came out perfect too. Im so happy. Her staff, and partner, Dr. Tran, treated me so well, and during the surgery, I was very well taken care of. The outpatient hospital she used, by Medical City, was great. My after care was super, and she got me the least expensive, very good medication drops, with easy instructions. Five out of Five stars!!!!
