We have used this place for many years but have had issues the last 3 or so. Some of these are nitpicky and others are more important 1) their office staff - there are some nice people there, but its outweighed by the general lack of desire to help 2) paperwork - so old fashioned and inefficient. They literally make you fill out all the paperwork every time you go - even if the information is the same. Im not talking about an "update" where they confirm insurance, but all the data - email, address, name, insurance, medical history,... and they force you to write it all down on each form. Most companies have moved to a more efficient way - they do this to make it easier on THEM but they dont care that you are writing this information over and over (its a nit, but a pet peeve, and indicative I find of how well run a medical office is) 3) did I mention attitude and not wanting to help? 4) bought my daughters glasses this summer. The older ones break within a few months, literally all she did was push them up on her nose with her finger. And this is the super responsible, careful with everything, NEVER loses anything type A daughters glasses... I used special plastic glue and glued them, and put in a call. They refused to replace them because I didnt buy the additional warranty. So I went on. And one week later, the other side broke, in the same place (the curved part that touches the cheek). Obviously this was an issue with the frames themselves (which btw was the most expensive of the three I bought). I had to call and complain twice and talk to the manager and he was willing to exchange them for me - but it shouldnt have been so difficult. I should NOT have had to fight about not buying the warranty - because really, what pair of glasses should only last three months. 5) I have now had this experience on three occasions. They do everything they can to NOT give you a copy of your prescription, or if they do, they are now refusing to measure/write down your PD. Why? Because that is what you need to order glasses on line. And the worst thing is they lie about it. PD is PART of your prescription - they used to provide it, and now claim that its a "liability" issue. I asked liability for what, and the answer was "well, anything". I asked her what situations had prompted them to adopt the policy... she said none really. I asked if there was any case law about it... no, she said. So, really this is JUST to prevent us from buying glasses online right? To which she got kind of annoyed. Just like the other folks when I came in to get a copy of my last prescription (5 months previous) to order a spare set of glasses (I did spend $500 on my first pair with them) and they REFUSED and said I had to get a new exam. 6) They have a pitiful selection of glasses, and it keeps getting smaller and smaller. Which is totally fine, because I am fine going elsewhere... BUT refer to #5. They dont want you to do that, because they make much more money on the glasses. Seriously you need to price shop. One pair of glasses for my 8 year old youngest daughter they wanted $275 for. Really. I bought them online for... $34.99. 7) I go to them because they are MDs for eye exams. NOT to buy glasses. We are all going to find someplace that takes the medical side more seriously and provides proper service.

Only cares about their bottom line. He advised them of vision changes at his annual visit and 3 months later he was legally blind in one eye. They didnt bother to tell my husband that he needed to see an ophthalmologist until my husband could not see out of that eye. it was only then that they suggested he see a specialist. The Specialist was SHOCKED that he had not been advised to see a specialist sooner, as some of the blood vessels had completely died and this was the cause of his vision loss. My husband is in his mid 30s. too young to have catastrophic vision loss go undetected thru annual exams.

This was my first time at the Sachse office. I usually go on to Murphy office. I had a great experience yesterday. The girls in the front office were so pleasant to talk to and very helpful when it was time to choose frames and explaining insurance payment, etc. Dr Justin was wonderful in explaining the plan for me and changes he saw that were different then the exam I had last year. He spoke in a way that I could understand without being technical (even though he was aware of my medical background)

Personnel here are amazing! They are very professional and willing to assist. The doctors are very pleasant to be around. Everyone takes pride in their work. They are full of knowledge and want you to look your best. I purchased a pair of glasses and am working on getting sunglasses currently. Great service here, they really care!

Felt like a constant sales pitch. The check in lady was impatient and rude. Then they didnt willingly want to give me my prescription. I had to ask for both. I didnt feel it was right so I went to another doctor for a second opinion, and it wasnt right. Wish I could get my $149 back.
