If I could give this office a zero I would. I have an 11:30 Saturday appointment on the Labor Day weekend. They call me three times to make sure they have my insurance info so they can make sure they get paid. OK whatever. I arrive at 11:15A and the waiting room is full. I should have known then. I do my paperwork. While Im sitting in the waiting room the damn receptionist is asking me medical questions right in front of everyone. So unprofessional. Then they take me back for the pre-exam. by now its about 12 Noon. The young woman is really nice. We do the usual look in here, see the house picture auto-Rx thing. She wants to take my blood pressure. They are using some janky Walgreens-brand wrist blood pressure devise that first gives a reading that I am dead. I tell her that Im pretty sure its wrong, I just had a medical exam and it wasnt anywhere near this. She takes another and its even more way-off. Im offensive-tackle sized, so I have big wrists. I told her that that thing may not work. She offered to use another device they have but said something to the effect of "this one isnt so good. Do you want to try anyway?" I declined. Then they gave me some 3D glasses and asked me to look at a card and tell them something. What, I dont know because they had already had me take my contacts out and I couldnt see a damn thing. She says something to the effect of "I guess we cant do this one then." ? ?? Back out to the waiting room I go. At 12:30, the Dr. comes out and asks them if they are behind "a little" they tell him. Thats it for me. If they think that more than an hour behind is "a little" then they dont have any respect for my time. I find out that hes a replacement doctor. I dont know if the regular doctor is sick or what. I understand if things happen. In advance of the appointment, I got 3 phone calls and 2 text making sure I was going to be there and making sure they were going to get paid. They didnt find out that the regular doctor wasnt going to be there when I walked in, they just didnt respect my (or the other patients) time enough to pick up the phone and let us know. Then we could make a decision about whether we want to waste God knows how much time sitting there in their now too-small waiting room. Even if they didnt find out until the last minute. they could have told us when we GOT THERE. "Hey, just want to let you know were running significantly behind because reasons, do you want to wait or maybe come back in a hour?" I would have been a little irritated, then I would have thought about it and said to myself "things happen, probably not their fault, Ill come back. Or reschedule" Im mad because they didnt have enough respect for my time to do that, any of those things, and they still didnt think it was a big deal even when they were an hour late, he had just taken another patient back, and they told him they were "a little" behind. "A LITTLE" Well, Im "a little" mad. They were already shaky on my confidence scale after the aborted pre-exams, but I wont do business with people who arent even aware of how their laissez-faire attitude toward others time impacts their clients day. You all make the call on this, but I wont go back.

September/17/2015: No FREE post-op check after 3 months of the contact lens exam. They insisted that we must pay another $70 to be seen for the post-op check. I took my daughter to Woodbridge Eye Care for the contact lens exam on June/12/15. We paid $70 and my BCBS insurance paid $109.90 for this contact lens exam visit. We got the contact lens Rx on that same day and I purchased 1 year supplies of the contact lens as prescribed on the Rx. Right after we received these new sets of the contact lens, my daughter has been complained that one of her eye is blurry. I thought these contact lenses are new and they might take some times for her to get used to them. So time went by.... 3 months later, my daughter still sometimes complains that her one eye is blurry so I decided to call the office today, Sep/17/15, for the post-op check to see why one of her eyes is blurry. Kim, the receptionist, told me that they have to CHARGE me AGAIN for another $70 as I waited too long (waited 3 mos.) to call back for the post-op check. I asked Kim if the Dr. Nguyen could make an exception and do a quick post-op check on one of my daughters eye since one of her eye is blurry when we got the new contact lens back in June. Kim insisted that they have to charge me again for $70 as I waited too long to call back...NO EXCEPTION!!! $70 must be paid to be seen for the post-op check. Come on... we are her regular patients and they can make an exception for a quick post-of check. I am not asking for a full contact lens exam here!!! They cannot spare 5 minutes to do a quick follow-up check without paying another $70. When a situation arises, you then can tell how the Dr. is cared about for patients well being…. Dr. does not care if patients eye is blurry. Pay the Dr. now.... another $70 or NO post-op check. Dr. does not care if patients are suffer/feel uncomfortable with blurry eye(s). NO PAY! NO FOLLOW UP CHECK. To bad for the patient....follow-up time has passed. Sorry... no follow-up check after 3 months. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! PAY NOW OR SUFFER WITH THE PROBLEM. To other (contact lens) patients..... if you want to have a post-op check with Dr. Nguyen at Woodbridge Eye Care, you should get it done right away OR you must pay for other $70 or exam fee to be seen again. NO EXCEPTION ALLOWED!!! It is obvious that they do NOT care for patient’s well being. They want your money again in order to do a quick post-op check. Money comes first….Patients come second!!!

Wylie, Sachse, Plano, or not-- I highly recommend making a visit to Woodbridge Eye Care for your next eye exam! I actually live in uptown Dallas, which we all know is quite a drive to Wylie. However, I heard from multiple patients of hers, that she was a great doctor. I scheduled an appointment and when the day came, I actually had something come up and had to cancel. Dr. Nguyen was very professional, and rescheduled me right away for a day that was more convenient. I came in that day, expecting to wait at least 20-30 minutes just to be seen by anyone, however, right when I checked in, I was taken back to do my pre-exam tests (dont know what thats really called). Immediately after, I met with Dr. Nguyen and she gave me my first eye exam in years! I dont remember any eye exam of mine in the past going as smoothly. She seemed very knowledgeable, and it didnt feel rushed at all, as most healthcare appointments usually do. She gave me a new prescription for the contacts I currently use and like, but also gave me some samples of other brands to try. So in summary, even though the drive is quite long, its definitely worth it for 1. Dr. Nguyens professionalism and experience and nice staff, 2. The clean office space, and 3. The wait time itself (or lack there of!) evens out the time that I would spend driving there. I am now a repeat customer and will see her for all my eye needs!
