Having just moved to town we were in the market for a new veterinary clinic for our boxer. We had gone to a vet that was closer to our house and being disappointed with them, decided to look for another. Amigo was well reviewed and in a fairly convenient location for us. We scheduled our first visit and were 100% happy with our experience! The staff was extremely welcoming and knowledgable, fully explaining everything before they took any action to allow us to make the most informed decision for our dogs needs. After the initial "wellness" check, we were introduced to both Dr.s who took the time to learn about us and our situation and desires for treatment, as well us allowing us to learn about them and their experiences. They made us feel comfortable and our dog was totally at ease with them. This was the main factor in us deciding to continue our care with Amigo. They are truly caring and professional in all aspects of care. Our second visit and follow up for a late season rattlesnake vaccine reinforced everything we felt from the first visit. We had a small complication which they quickly, efficiently, and calmly took care of. Their systems are great as well, we received E-mail notification and reminder of our appointment, giving us both the reminder and allowing us to confirm and make changes if necessary. We will definitely continue with Amigo as our vet!

My dog was the victim of being attacked and had a tiny bite on his head. I took him to get looked over, they stitched him up and gave him med. he developed an infection on his face a few days later. I dropped him off in the morning because I had to work that day. I got a call from the vet about an hour later saying they are going to have to clean and trim off some dead skin but he should be okay that I can pick him up around 5pm. The next call I got was them telling me to come say goodbye because there was to much dead skin on his head and he wouldnt be able to live like that without a lot of pain. I understand why I had to put him down BUT what I hated the most about everything is when I went to go put him to sleep one of the vets asked me where I took him to get treated first BECAUSE they should of put a drain tube on the wound that was infected. When I told her I came here she had that "oh sh!*" look on her face then just kept quiet. So my dog would probably be still alive if werent for the incompetence of some of the vets. I WILL NEVER USE THIS VET CLINC AGAIN plus they were expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent a lot of time researching different vets and called around before deciding on Amigo Animal Hospital for our two dogs. Dr. Tapia is someone that you just trust right away. On my first visit, our recently adopted dog had a tick on him and she just gently picked it off and disposed of it in a double bag, all without making me feel like a terrible owner. She got down on the floor with him and let him even jump on her and was so good to him. Dr. Tapia gave me treatment options and I felt no pressure, which always makes me uncomfortable at the vet. I loved the fact that there was no sales pitch like every other vet I have been to, no "wellness" plan guilt trip, no Care Credit ads everywhere. When I asked about a generic alternative to a medicine my dog takes, Dr. Tapia provided me with that information and explained it really well. Finally, the front desk staff is wonderful. They are so knowledgeable, friendly and great and when I had to ask them to send me my dogs records, they did it right away and were so nice.

We took our dogs, Bridget and Bruno, to Amigo from the moment we got them from the shelter. Everyone is caring and compassionate. My dogs hated having their nails trimmed and they always took care of them when it came time to trim them. They gave us tips and tricks on how to get them to walk on a leash. When Bridget started having issues walking, Dr. Mata thought it could be arthritis or hip displasia. We took her in and left her (because they had to put her to sleep to do the x-rays.) We got a call a few hours later saying that she had hip displasia and that they were prescribing her medicine to help. We were given pain meds along with other meds to help her hips. The last time we took her in for a trim she was having issues with her hip and they were so gentle while holding her and trimming her nails. The staff and doctors are amazing people who truly care about animals.

My first point of contact at Amigo was the friendly, caring and personable Savannah. My dog was having a serious problem and I was nervous to take her to a new vet. After speaking to Savannah, I was given an appointment with Dr. Mata for the same day. The entire staff was very caring to me and my dog. Dr. Mata was able to pin point what was wrong with my dog and after she went the extra mile and did some further research, called me the next day with the course of treatment needed. I had been in need of a new vet for our four cats and two dogs. Amigo is not very close to my home, but it was worth the effort driving further, to be in the hands of Dr. Mata and her wonderful staff. I will be taking our other pets there in the future. Five stars is the highest rating and this vet clinic deserves all five stars and more.

Everyone in the ofice has been excellent. I first went to Amigo after a friend found a 3 week old kitten on the side of the road and I ended up with him. He was very sick, but thanks to Dr. Mata and everyone at Amigo, hes now a healthy nine months old and thriving. They genuinely care about their patients and will do whatever they have to to make sure the animals are taken care of and their owners are at ease. Even when there was a small issue caused by miscommunication, the office was quick to right the problem as soon as they realized what happened. I cant recommend them enough. They are a little higher priced than some other vets, but I feel that if you can afford it, its very well worth it for the level of care your pets will receive.

The doctors and staff were very helpful when I brought in a dog I found wondering the neighborhood! While they were checking her for a microchip they searched the internet to see if her owners posted her on a lost and found site. They fed her and even gave me a bag of food so I could take care of her while I located her owners...which I did!! Happy endings are the best!! They even sent me a thank you note a week later; something that is rarely done anymore...I truly appreciate it though. They have senior and military discounts, so extra bonus points! All in all it is a friendly and professional place to have your furry, featherd, or scaly family member cared for and treated!
