Friendly staff, doctors are very knowledgeable and courteous. Front office staff is friendly and helpful. Wait times are short. My dogs dont get nervous when we go for check ups so I know they are being treated well when getting tests and blood work done. The one draw back that Ive noticed is a lack of information from the vet techs about services available and rendered during the visits. Quotes are provided but you have to ask specific questions about what the course of treatment is, what the medicines are, associated costs etc. to get information. I expect for this to all be explained as common practice rather than having to prod the techs for specifics. The names of the medicines, the treatment regimines etc are not self explanatory to the lay-person.

Loved our first experience here. Our new pup came for a check up and shots. As our dog is a rescue and has had some illnesses already so we had a lot of questions and the tech and vet took the time to answer all of them. The vet office is small and the wait was very reasonable and the front room wasnt crowded which was a nice start. The receptionist was great. She was welcoming and also helped us add a nail clipping at the end. Our tech was great with our dog and also answered our questions on heart worm and flea prophylaxis which was helpful. The tech and vet spent a lot of time with our dog. They werent rushed which Im sure will help out when we bring her back. She didnt like the shots but they made sure to give her treats at the end.

City Veterinary has been a very special part of our life since we discovered them in December 2015. Unlike the more retail-like clinics, the staff at City Veterinary Hospital creates an informal, warm, caring and collaborative relationship with pets and their humans. Every pets human dreads even the likelihood of a pets serious illness and death. When Isabella, my beloved cat of 20 years, had to be euthanized, Scott, Dr. Stephens and Dr. Dissinger, or "Dr D.," and all the staff were professional and compassionate not only with Isabella, but also with me. As I learn to live without Isabella, I also look forward to life with my next cat and know City Vets talented caregivers will be there for us,❤. I encourage you and your pets to go meet them all!❤

Ive been searching for a place like City Vet. I have a very nervous TNR cat that I adopted and the people at City Vet were so very kind and compassionate during his first visit to update shots and get a once over. Their calm demeanour when handling him and doing little things like making sure all other cats were out of the room when they took him back for a nail trim and his shots, made the experience much less stressful for him. He ended up also needing a dental and that went smoothly as well and he got a microchip while under for the dental - another thoughtful recommendation. Their system is easy - they followup before and after any procedures, I really wouldnt consider taking Mr. Socks anywhere else now.

Our beloved Australian Shepherds have wandered in the night, lost. Dr. Roses office have been there to answer calls guiding the nice people that found them. There have been bee stings, ear infections, skin rashes and a fear of rattlesnake bites on our ranch. Our first beloved Aussie was tragically poisoned. We had a guinea pig that had to be treated for mange. Through it all we know we have Dr. Rose and his precious staff. We so appreciate them. Our dogs thank the wonderful groomer, too, who through her talented hands has given them the shave they so love providing relief from this blasted Texas heat! Thanks to all.

Dr Lowe is amazing! We followed her from another clinic to City Veterinary and were so happy shes found a place she can call her own now that shes an owner of the clinic as well. Shes incredibly kind, compassionate and easy to speak with. She genuinely cares about animals and wants them to live happy, healthy lives with their families. The staff is friendly as well - the location is a bit difficult to find initially, but easy to get to. In my opinion, Dr. Lowe is amazing and if youre looking for a vet - your search should come to a halt. Pick up your phone, dial the number and book an appointment with Dr. Lowe today!

We moved to San Antonio and our elderly dog was very ill. City Vet was incredibly compassionate and walked us through each step of his illness all the way until we lost him. We have also taken our younger cat there when he had some belly issues. The entire staff is professional and friendly, we never had to wait, and the prices were very reasonable. They always presented all of our choices and helped to educate us about what was happening and how we could move forward. I could not recommend them enough. Absolutely amazing folks!

Was a little leery having bad experiences from vets who only saw the bottom line. I decided to try city vet for the urban pet. From the time I walked in I was greeted and my Mia was treated like family and when it came time for treatment , options were given and they also provided help with the larger procedures. I have definitely found my veterinary headquarters for all my pets, the staff as well as the veterinarians will all be highly recommended by this animal lover! Thanks for all you do for those who cant speak.

I love this place, not only is the entire staff friendly but they treat you and your pets like family. I love the history of the building itself. My kitten was a rescue from the streets and I wasnt sure he was going to make it but with their help he went from one pound and sickly to almost 7 pounds and a beast. Not saying they work miracles but they figured out was wrong with him and taught me how to treat him and are amazed themselves when they see him. ❤

Ive never seen a better vet hospital anywhere, hands down. They care so much about my pets health that they made me leave and come back another day for a procedure because it was stressing him too badly, which would be bad for his heart. What sort of place says no, we arent going to take your money? Thats some serious integrity. The building is quiet and calming inside and the staff is so engaged and attentive. The only vet for me!

I would highly recommend City Veterinary hospital. Dr. Stevens and all of the staff are so caring and I have complete confidence in the treatment of my beloved pets. The medical care that Dr Stevens provides is accurate and reasonable in cost, and she really cares about her patients! That goes for the staff as well. I have been a client for years and it gives me confidence to know that I can always count on them!

I love this place. I have a Belgian malinois that is a bit vocal and other vets have blamed me for bad training and called her aggressive when the most she has done is grumble and growl. At city vet they are extremely professional and understanding. Also if you have trupanion pet insurance they are the only vet in the city who will take that upfront instead of making you pay out of pocket and wait for reimbursement.
