Ive come here for 3 to 4 years I will never come to this facility again. First the receptionist had me call my insurance to verify my own insurance information. Secondly I waited a hour then was told I needed to be tested for glaucoma because Im a suspect Ive never been told this but as a patient I can refuse a test. Well at that time I had no choice she said we will not see you then. This is a joke doctor office that is interested in just money. Im 26 years old never have been informed of this information. A year ago my Versace glasses that I bought from there broke the leg came out the plastic well that time I was told they could not fix them I had to buy new ones this is now all just convenient for them. Trying to steal peoples money i will never go there again. I work in the medical field its sad there are facilitys like this. I am not stupid I will take my business else where! And as far as the replies go trying to defend themselves its against hippa to share any other information about persons health visit. Dont reply fix your business better business bureau will hear from me. Well sadly I was checked in late I have the time I called my insurance from your office for your receptionist and if thats not in my profile that shows how lazy your staff is

Bad experience here. Called at 10am for eye exam information. Was asked if the appointment would be for glasses or contacts. I opted for both. Scheduled an appointment for 3:15. I arrive for my appointment, after 45 minutes of waiting I was told an exam for contacts thru my insurance would cost 169.00 plus my glasses exam cost. (I have used my insurance before and have never paid 169.00 for a contact exam.) They will ask you toric or regular. Really?? Thats why Im here, to find out about me eyes. Ridiculous. Then I said it was ok just a glasses exam then to be told "well sorry we only do contact exams after 2pm". Excuse me? As for a person who has a job and had to make arrangements to leave early to come sit wait and be told we cant help you. They said they would ask to dr if he would choose to see me or not. I declined. I did not want to waist more time sitting in their waiting room while he was seeing another patient just to be told a No due to the fact that apparently he doesnt see anyone with my insurance after 2 with out a contact exam. I will never return nor recommend anyone here. just a horrible experience here.

They had to order lenses to fill prescription and said theyd call in 2 days. No call. I called them and they said order they put in never came in so they reordered. No apology given. The day the lenses were being fit to my sons old frames finally came. We dropped off lenses and went driving to kill time while we waited and their office calls 30 minutes later saying they hadnt started working on them because they forgot to have me sign a form. Signed form, went to kill more time. When we went to pick up finished glasses they forgot to give us back the written prescription for our records. I ended up calling and just told them to mail it, which they did. The total cost for an exam and lenses, not frames (since we kept the old ones), came out to $205. $85 for exam, I believe, and a $35 charge to use our own frames, which is ridiculous, and $85 for just lenses.

I am extremely surprised to see negative reviews on this eye center, I am an established patient of Andros Eye Center dating way back before Dr. Garza took ownership. I have always experience the very best service and thorough exam explanations and results by him and his staff. When Dr. Garza came in, he implemented newer technology which has worked wonders in my case identifying a potential issue which more than likely has been present since birth and never identified or made aware to me by any of my past Doctors. Thanks to Dr. Garza we now monitor my situation closely. I highly recommend this great establishment to all.

I would definitely like to Thank Andros Eye Center. I had an eye infection that another doctor would not bother to comment on unless I sat on his chair for a "small fee" so that way he can tell me what could be wrong with my eye. But I was recommended to Dr. Garza at Andros and h had no problem giving me med advice before I had to be bargained with. He sat me down to confirm my infection, wrote me a prescription and I bought some glasses and had lenses made there on the spot for an affordable price and was willing to work with me in my financial situation. Good people. Quick efficient service, I was grateful.

I first want to say this has the best place in San Antonio to get seen.Omar D Garza OD PA greats you with a smile right when you walk in. and the lady in the front desk was extremely helpful with all my needs. the whole place feels like its family your talking to not just a eye center,. I highly recommend everyone should try this place out. i loved it and will continue to bring my family here.

Very rude Dr.. He managed to get three out of four eye prescriptions wrong and got offensive after glasses didnt make my family see better making excuses that we need to adjust. He was extremely rude to us. We went to a real optometrist and got the right prescriptions. Do not recommend this quack. Even one of his staff members agreed with us and said he treats people poorly.

Although short handed on the Saturday that I visited. The appointment was handled efficiently, and within the allotted time. Dr. Garza is a very competent doctor who takes time to make sure that you will be satisfied with the final product. I return every year, as I have never been disappointed.

I used this place forever and never had an issue, but when I tried to use insurance they made such a hassle, I waited an hour and 30 mins until being seen. I called with the insurance information before and wasnt notified the primary had to be there. I wasted an entire day off on a rude doctor.

My family and I have been longtime patients of Andros Eye Center. The doctor is great and the staff service is good as well. Easy to get an appointment and our glasses and contacts also. I would recommend Andros Eye Center to my family and friends.

Terrible place to get eye exam. "Dr" Garza is lazy and will not show up to work on time. You can tell this business is failing bc no one is ever there and its completely run down and dirty. Save yourself the grossness of this slum and go elsewhere
