Dr.Sherrick has got to be the most arrogant person Ive ever met and his cocky methods of guess and check didnt work for me. I told him how I researched some stuff I thought was pretty applicable to me that he hadnt apparently heard of because all his books are already outdated and he doesnt seem like the type to google anything either. He even said all psychopaths and sociopaths kill people...WTF?? I was concerned I may have some issues with these things and he disregarded everything I said because apparently if I havent killed someone yet I dont qualify to have a disorder. Regardless of his ridiculous justifications and constant comparisons of me to various (and old) killers/sociopathic people to tell me unless Im like them I cant have a disorder... even when I asked if he had at least heard of the study I was talking about from a university, he wouldnt even acknowledge it as a legitimate question because he took it like I was insulting him. Then I asked if he was religious, he said yes, and then it all made sense. So yeah just a heads up, hes got too many prejudices against outdated information to correctly diagnose at least in my case some serious issues. I highly recommend you go somewhere that can actually help you. I wasted every dime I spent on going to "Kurt Sherick, M.D. General Psychiatrist". And I genuinely hope he burns in the hell he believes in.

The front desk service is awful some of the worst Ive ever experienced for a medical clinic, you cannot get ahold of anyone. I called to refill a prescription on Friday and called again on tues and Wednesday finally got someone to actually at least speak too on the phone on Wednesday to find out whoever took my request last Friday apparently doesnt exist. So I had to begin the whole process of simply getting a script at 9am on Wednesday and got no call back by 3:30 pm. I called again only to find out I must make an appointment to get another prescription (even though Ive been taking the same medication monthly for years now ). It certainly wouldve been helpful to have found out I needed an appointment which are now not even available until mid next month on Friday. I am so upset by their costumer service at the front desk, as well as my doctors insisting another appointment when hes been prescribing me the exact same medication for almost two years now. Its obvious what the appointment is "needed" for. This is ridiculous.

I have had so much help from this Center and I am truly so very grateful for the staff as well as Dr. Kurt Sherrick. I did not feel judged, or ashamed of what I had found myself going through, and I was treated with respect and kindness. I will advise anyone new here to please write down your appointment time in a few locations, if youre like me you forget. The staff gets extremely busy during the day and sometimes can not commit to making a reminder call. That is the only thing I was not used to. But I am one of those types who loses even my reminder notes. So yes, I recommend this team and Dr. Kurt Sherrick with all my heart. He helped me through one of the most trying times in my life that involved grief, stress and anxiety moving forward.

Explained I could only make appointments on Fridays. Scheduled an appointment over the phone. Arrived on set date and was told my appointment was the next Thursday. When I told them that wasnt the date I scheduled the girl behind the counter literally said, "oh well". I told her I would not be returning. I then called a friend who told me theyd charge me for a no show if I didnt make sure they cancelled the appointment time they had down. I went back in and asked if they had cancelled the appointment since I had told them I would not return and the girl said, "No. I will do it now" A lady in the lobby told me theyve messed up her appointments on numerous occasions and shes had to get the owner involved. Dont even bother with this place.

I have only the highest praise for the staff at South Texas Behavioral Medicine. I have been going there for almost 10 years now and I am always given the greatset of customer service. I live about 80 miles away from San Antonio. I could go to a doctor in my own town but I have chosen to stay with South Texas Behavioral Medicine because they take great care of me.

The personnel in the front office lacks empathy and courtesy towards the patient. They are stubborn in their ways of handling phone calls from the patient and they seem to be more focused on arguing with the patient instead of getting to the point in order to make an appointment. Very unpleasant experience.

I just called to confirm my appt for Dec 3. Was informed that the appt was made in error and canceled without notifying me. Due to many changes in appt times in 2 years Dr Sherick Does not want to see you anymore exact words from office staff.
