Okay, let me start with the good. Vision source has a good selection of glasses. The optician (the person who helps you pick out glasses etc.) was super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The office is clean and nice. They seem to have more computerized ophthalmology equipment than any office I have been to in the past. I think I sat through 4 different electronic tests prior to seeing the optometrist. The young lady who took me through the test stations was also very nice. Now, here is why I gave the place only 2 stars. The doctor I saw (Dr. Allison) came to see me in the room. She looked over all the history I had filled out and quickly asked me a question or two about the contacts I wear. Then she did the basic vision exam. She then had me try on the new contacts that I have never worn before. Another staff helped me with the contacts while Dr. Allison went back to the exam room. Okay, so I put on the new contacts. I walk back to the room and open the door and there is another patient in the room and Dr. Allison is examining them! I go back to the front and ask the receptionist if the Doctor is really done with me, and they say "yes". So here is why this is unacceptable, in my opinion: 1. When someone puts on new contacts and a new prescription, they should have their eyes looked at by the doctor and they should also repeat the eye exam to make sure the prescription is right and that the contacts fit. At least that is what other places have done for me for the last 20 years. At the very least ask me if they feel alright. 2. I was a first time patient at this office. If you are going to call yourself a doctor, you should make some attempt to develop a doctor-patient relationship. The exchange I wrote above during the exam is not abbreviated. It is really the extent of my visit with Dr. Allison. No, "hello, what do you do for a living...why did you choose us....any concerns about your eyes...etc.". No goodbye either. 3. Dr. Allison did not provide me with a single piece of information regarding my eyes. I went through 4-5 different electronic tests, a vision exam, and a picture was taken of my retina. Surely she had some information she could provide me with. I would expect to at least hear that all the exams and tests were normal if not specifics (ie the pressure in your eye is normal and their is no sign of glaucoma). I was told NOTHING. In my opinion this is very unprofessional. I had to ask the optician if my prescription had changed! Dr. Allison didnt even tell me that. And yes, one eye had changed. If it hadnt been for the rest of the visit being nice, I would give one star to Dr. Allison and Vision Source. Maybe I caught her on a bad day, maybe I caught her right before lunch. Either way, there is no excuse for such unprofessional conduct. I should know, I am a physician. Maybe she would have learned that if she stopped to talk to me for a minute....

Outstanding! Today was my first visit at Stone Oak Vision Source and I was blown away. Compared to the clinic I had been seeing this visit was a dream. I was completely out of contacts and had been fumbling with my glasses for weeks and I needed it taken care of TODAY. I called my regular clinic and the receptionist was rude and completely unhelpful so I did a google search and called Stone Oak Vision Source. They got me in immediately (surprise #1), took care of my insurance info over the phone and had it all verified by the time I walked in the door (suprise #2). The wait time was literally non existent. I was still filling out my new patient paperwork between the tests that the optometry tech was completing before I saw the doctor. The doctor asked me what contacts I liked, discusssed my slight astigmatism, and offered a corrective lense, which I agreed to. But she checked my eyes and told me that my usual lenses are cheaper and she didnt think I REALLY needed an astigmatism lens so she left me in my regular lenses to save me some money. I was in and out in under an hour with a full year of contact ordered and on delivery to my house. They even gave me a fresh contact kit with my preferred solution etc. Great experience. I cant believe I put up with the nonsense at the other place for so long after how smooth and efficient this visit way. I couldnt recommend it enough.

Incredibly disappointed by this facility. We have been going to them for years and had no issues. However we have relocated and I wanted a copy of my glasses prescription. I called and they said they would email it to me right away. Called two hours later since I hadnt received it and was told they are not allowed to email prescriptions (even though my family member recieved hers via email a few months ago). Asked for it to be faxed to the eye glass store where I was waiting to get glasses and they said they can do that. I asked for it to be done immediately since I was waiting on them @ the store. The store never received it... I simply wanted my eye glasses prescription to get new glasses and they couldnt even do that ...

I have been going to Stone Oak Vison Source for 3 -4 years. I started out with Dr. Allison. My first visit was OK. I was fitted with the appropriate contact lenses but when I returned because I was having problems I felt very rushed by Dr. Allison. Also her bedside manner has much to be desired. Not much explanation about your eyes as a previous reviewer wrote and when I had trouble getting my lense in she was impatient. I wrote a review explaining this and she apologized but when I returned again it had not improved. I am going back because of the location but I have asked for Dr. Capelle this time. Hopefully my experience will be better. The front desk employees are awesome!

On Saturday, August 13, I was delayed in traffic on 1604 due to an auto accident and arrived at your office just as it was closing for the day. I thoroughly expected to be turned away but instead was warmly welcomed and assisted by Kristine Hinojosa. She was professional, knowledgeable, and very patient as I tried on a ton of frames before finally settling on a pair shortly after 2pm, over an hour after closing! Ms. Hinojosa was both pleasant and helpful and encouraged me to take my time. I really appreciated being treated like the first customer at Stone Oak Vision Source rather than the last minute customer I was that day. Great customer service! Kudos to you and your staff!

First time going to get my eyes checked ever in my life and my experience was great! The VA sent me there to get an exam and prescription as they are a VA approved Optometrist shop. The store showroom is immaculate and the staff is very kind and courteous. The equipment they use to do the exam(s) is clean, modern and impressive. The eye techs are very polite, professional and attentive. They even checked my blood pressure. Dr. Perez is a young Optometrist with a winning personality and the looks to match. She did an amazing job getting me through the exam and explaining my vision needs now and in the future. I need to go back and pick out glasses and get them ordered.
