Incompetent and rude staff. After first called my insurance company, I called the doctor and made an appointment. The doctors staff called me back and said they dont take my insurance. So I did a three way call with the doctor and the insurance. After 30 minutes on the phone I thought the confusion was resolved; it was confirmed that they were a provider under my plan. The next day I arrived early for my appointment and gave them my insurance card. After waiting for 20 minutes in an empty office, I ask them why there was a delay and was told they didnt take my insurance. They tried to call the insurance company and said they couldnt get through. I called and had no issue and confirmed, again, that they were a provider under my plan. The office then rudely said to me, "if the insurance doesnt work, well just send you the bill." At that point I walked out. I dont know about the service other than the incompetence and rudeness of the front desk.

The office and staff seemed nice on the phone, and they were friendly while I was getting my exam. Then when I went to pay the bill was 150% higher that agreed, and they wouldnt release my prescription until I paid. Apparently, the eye dilation wasnt covered by my insurance. I went out of my way to write on my paperwork that I didnt want dilation if it wasnt covered, so when the doctor asked if I wanted it, I said yes assuming the checked like I asked. When it was time to pay I found out otherwise. Do you want someone working on your eyes who cant run an office, or who may even be doing this stuff on purpose? My recommendation is stay away!

Dr. Arredondo is wonderful! I have been to a few other eye docs in SA and havent had the best experiences (not friendly, gave me wrong Rx, etc). After 7 or 8 visits with Dr. Arredondo over the years, Ive never had a single issue. She and her staff are incredibly nice and so knowledgable. Ive recommended her to several friends & family members and they have all had great experiences too!

Fraud I went in for an eye exam and eye dilation. I specifically said that is all I am here for. They give you a form trying to get you to do a not medically necessary service that is not covered by insurance. I declined this service and they billed me for it anyway after the exam so instead of a $15 copay I owed around $50. They refused to take it off the bill.

I waited an hour to be taken to the back. Then waited there for half hour. I could hear the doctor in the hall joking with another customer for a very long time. When I mentioned the wait, she got very snippy. I can go anywhere and be seen on time. Wont be back.

Makes me sad I moved from SA recently, this optometrist office has been one of the best and most caring offices I have ever been to. Its refreshing to be treated like I wasnt a burden by the Drs as I have from other offices around the area.

I have had my eyes examed by Dr.Arredondo for the last few years. Even though my insurance company no longer covers services with this doctor, I still go back. Dr. Arredondo is excellent! I have always been very satisfied.

This is by far one of the best eye drs you can go to for routine or medical eye exams! Very thorough and knowledable staff. I refer all my friends to Dr Arredondos office and i have been going for over 10yrs..
