I was told to go to MCOA by work colleagues so I arranged to have an appointment with Dr Richard Evans. Expect to be at the clinic for sometime because he is EXTREMELY THOROUGH with his patients. This is very important when seeing an ophthalmologist. I learned the hard way that patience is required by the person conducting an eye test. Not only are glasses very expensive, but the ones I had for a few months were too strong. It had caused me ongoing discomfort and headaches. Richard gave me an accurate assessment and was able to identify the discrepancies. I recently immigrated from Australia and was pleasantly surprised that he was well travelled, and had actually been there! Yolanda (the lady at reception) went above and beyond to explain how insurance works which was very kind of her. I dont leave reviews very often, but the personability and customer service at this clinic was excellent!! I definitely recommend.

I would give them a zero if I could. My daughter had an appointment for an eye exam. Before making the appointment, I verified coverage through our insurer. Upon arrival to the office, I was told that they could not verify insurance coverage. I asked them to call the 1-800 number for my insurance, that they would kindly verify that my daughter is covered and that they are one of the listed providers. They told me that they only electronically verify and WOULD NOT make the call to my insurance to verify coverage. That is just lazy! Yolanda you are an extremely lazy and nasty receptionist. In addition, the office is a dump and a breeding site for eye infections.

My child had an appointment at this facility and there were ants in the waiting room. Also the doctor was an hour late seeing my child and barely explained or spoke to us. I will not be following up with this facility.
