Im a long-time patient (8+ years) of Dr. Daniel Kellum. I am very pleased with the care Dr Kellum continues to provide me and my family with. He listens to me, seems to genuinely care about how I am really feeling, and always treats me with care. He takes his time during every appointment, and makes sure I have all of my questions answered before the appointment is over. He is also very reliable when it comes to handling any conditions, blood tests, or prescription refills. With that being said, a common complaint I hear from others and read online is "but he has a long wait time for his appointments!". Yes. Thats true. Unless youre the first appointment of the day for him, dont expect to be seen EXACTLY on time. The wait time is less than ideal, I admit, but Ill gladly wait patiently to see him than get the sub-par or dismissive treatment from other doctors that Ive tried. So why the wait time? Hes busy. He takes his time with every patient. He is in very high demand. He is well known. And not to mention, the way our health care system has panned out, many doctors are having to take on as many patients as they possibly can just to stay afloat (not saying that is the case with Dr Kellum, but rather a broad assumption for many family practitioners) Dr Kellum and his staff have provided me fantastic care through many of my medical issues over the years. He cares for and is knowledgeable about a broad spectrum of conditions, and his office is equipped to do most tests in-house, including an x ray technician and phlebotomist. Id say that waiting a few hours is certainly worth seeing a wonderful, kind hearted and knowledgeable doctor.

I would give ZERO stars if i could, but I cant. The Schertz office has the absolute worst front office staff EVER. Im so shocked that an office in Schertz of all places in San Antonio treats patients this way. Today will be the second time in less than a month that they had to cancel my appointment because the doctor would be out "for an emergency". I cant help but think that this coincidence occurs only on a Friday or a Saturday, just yesterday I called to ask what time I was scheduled and they confirmed my time, I guess they forget to communicate with each other because I got a voicemail earlier that morning that I just checked today that my appointment was canceled. How convenient that they knew of an "emergency" a day prior ?! I hear only good things about the doctor and it is convenient to my work which is why I chose this doctor but unfortunately I never got to meet him and I never will. I will not try again to get on the schedule a month out just to be inconveniently canceled the day of my appointment. Do not come here if youre looking for great customer service, the front staff is rude and does not care about their patients at ALL. Do not waste your time with this joke of a staff.

I wish I could give zero stars. This practice is full of a rude and uncaring staff. They over book patients. On multiple occasions my wife or I have arrived at or before our appt time and waited for over 4 hours to see the Doctor or PA. The staff is rude and doesnt care about the patients. While I understand that it is a job. They still need to treat the patients with a certain amount of respect. I intend to tell everyone I can find that while I have a personal respect for Mr. Campsey and Dr. Kellum, they lack any element of professionalism. I dont think they truly care about helping the patient. I feel that they over book on purpose. They care more about making money and charging either the patient and/or the insurance as much and as frequently as possible. I hope that the practice is investigated for their actions and that they pay the price for their greed and lack of compassion.

I normally dont like to give bad reviews, but sometimes I feel its the only way to have the issue resolved and prevent others from experiencing the same issues. Ive gone with this medical provider because theyre the closest to my home, but after repeat problems over the past 3 years Im going to look elsewhere. Everyone at this location is friendly, but it will take you at least 4 hours to be seen (with an appointment). Im not sure if its because things are disorganized or theyre over whelmed with patients, but every time Ive called the front office Ive had to either wait 15 minutes to reach someone or Ive been placed on hold until the automated system puts my call back in line to be answered by someone else. I believe the DMV more efficient. Btw the cell phone service for Verizon is terrible in the building so your wait time seems even longer.

Dr. Kellum is the most compassionate human being Ive ever met. He is polite and professional. His bedside manners are incredible. He is knowledgeable and informative. What I love most about him is his approachable demeanor! Dr. Kellum is the best Doctor! My experience with his has always been pleasant. Last month, my insurance dropped Dr. Kellums practice as a provider and I literally cried! :( Im considering paying out of pocket to visit him...thats how great he is. I highly recommend him for your family. Now, the wait time is ridiculous! I never see him on time for my scheduled appointment however, the wait it worth it when the quality of service is this outstanding!

The wait was 2 and half hours last time and 3 and half hours this time to be seen. The front desk is courteous but seems very busy, maybe rushed or overwhelmed. They were nice however, and offered to have me see the nurse practitioner, Ashley, to shorten my wait. Ashley saw me right away and I loved her. I may just go to her from now on, was told shorter waits. Ashley was extremely thorough, I was impressed with her. Dr. Kellum is very nice, I felt like he was thorough and knowledgeable. The nurses were also very nice. Scheduling here is not difficult. The only issue is very very long wait times for the doctors, u need to take half a day off of work for this.

This is by far the worst office as well as Doctor an a PA , you have to wait for a few hours to see the Kellum then he only spends 5 minutes of his time with you then pushes the training pa in there with you which is know help at all . Then PA Arther lee Campsey whom should go back to school cause this man does not know the the hell he is doing ..... handing out pills for depression instead of listening to people cause he has know clue what he is doing . When the patients know more then there PA there is s real problem an for the people of Schertz . I went else where along with my whole family much happier being with real Doctors .........

I used to enjoy coming here but now whenever I go I always run into some kind of problems. Every time I try calling in asking about a question, the front desk people werent very helpful. They literally told me they were going to call me back 3 times and they never did, it took me 5 months of calling them back and forth to get somewhat of a reply back. I also had an appt today at 4 and wasnt called back until 6. People who got there after me were called in before me. When I was finally called back they couldnt even give me a reason for why that happened. That was ridiculous, what was the point of making an appt, my time was wasted there.
