New Edit: They have refused to confirm my perscription with 1-800 pet meds. Ive emailed them and while I was in the office asked them to make sure to confirm it once it gets in. Cali has been without medicine for now 10+ days. I am having to mail in my perscription and then wait for them to get it and then wait for the medicine. Terrible!!!!!! I will not be going back. This has been a long frustrating experience for me. My cat is 20 year old - has IBS, I took her in to get steriods. They required blood work even though Cali and I have been fighting IBS together for 10 years. I cant afford to treat Cancer or anything else that could show up on blood work. Not consulting with me how expensive it would be. They also gave her fluids which cost almost $50! I have the needle and set-up at home and I told the vet that I could give the fluids. I would have rather just bought a bag of fluid, but then again they didnt consult with me how expensive it would be. Bill ended up being near $350! They handed me steriod pills, I requested a liquid and they said it doesnt come in a liquid, which is a lie. I have expired Presnidone liquid in my fridge so I keep track how often Cali has flare ups of IBS. I really told them any medicine I need to give her needs to be liquid. They called me back late with blood work after having to call them twice requesting a call to discuss with me the results. Nothing was abnormal except a high something count which could be kidney failure but she was also dehydrated from the IBS flareup when they took blood. So they wanted to do a urine test. I also never got paper results of the tests for my records. They wanted her to come back for a check-up which I did, figuring it would be a $50 office visit and a few dollars to check her urine. It ended up being $122, and I paid and left after they gave me some antiboitics for her bladder. The PILLS were MASSIVE like human size pills - I cannot return them. I had to call and left a voicemail to ask for a liquid. They never called me back So I called again while they were open and it took them 4 days to get me a written perscription while Cali has no meds from when I left the office a voicemail. I ordered the meds online and am still waiting on them to confirm the perscription of a $68 anti-boitic!! Now Cali has been without medicine for 6 days and they dont seem to be in a rush ever to call you back or fill your perscription. They dont care that I dont have a lot of money to spend on this or if we did find more wrong I couldnt afford to treat it. I hope her bladder infection isnt too bad - but they vet never even saw me during the follow-up visit. A tech just said she had a bladder infection and needed medicine. Soo yea.... Ive spent over $500 here and cant even get decent service, and hopefully Cali will be alright because I cannot afford another vet visit anywhere else. Im sort of disgusted with the whole thing.

Best vet Ive ever been to. Its so difficult to find a clinic that actually knows how to care for anything other than a cat or a dog, so I was surprised and relieved at how well they treated my very old rat. Molly absolutely loved the vet assistant and nearly took a nap in her comforting arms. They handled her properly and have experience with rats, unlike the nightmarish animal hospitals Ive visited previously. The vet spoke to me about treatment options and costs in a very realistic manor and did not attempt to sneak anything onto my bill. Ive never walked out of a veterinary clinic as relaxed as I was after my first visit here. Even though Mollys health is declining with age, I know I am able to provide her with the best care possible with the help of Champion Wood.

I take two dogs here now, but have taken three in the four years Ive lived in Texas. I cannot say enough good things about this vet. The front desk staff are very helpful, and make sure to notify me of appointments for my dog. They treat me and my animals with respect, as if they were their own. I have had the unfortunate experience of having to put a dog to sleep, and the doctor was not only kind, but reassuring that I was doing the right thing. I was given time to collect myself, and the vet technician stayed to make sure I was alright. They have great and flexible hours, allowing me to come later in the evening or on weekends for appointments. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet!

This is by far one of the best veterinary hospitals I have taken my dogs to. The vets and staff are all extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. It is easy to schedule appointments and they always find time when there is a pressing medical issue. Dr. Quan is especially informative and I really appreciate that he spends lots of time explaining the pros and cons of various medical procedures and treatment so that we can make a truly informed decision. He is also very up-to-date on research. It is evident that all of the vets and staff here truly care about the animals.

My Miniature Schnauzer Heidi has been cared for by the lovely staff at Champion Wood Animal Hospital since she was 10 weeks old. Her first visit was the day after we got her. The staff is always friendly and caring and usually greet me by name. Prior to Heidi, ou13.r previous Schnauzer Molly was also cared for by the staff and doctors until her death at the age of 13. I love Champion wood Animal Hospital and all of the staff and doctors. I would not take Heidi anywhere else!

Our dog Boomer loves going to visit the folks at Champion Wood Animal Hospital! He feels so comfortable there. And everyone is always so happy to see him. Boomer gets star treatment at Champion Wood Animal Hospital and they all treat him like he was their own pet. Dr. Osborne and Dr. Schmidt are both excellent vets! Very thankful that we have such good vets, who we trust completely to care for our pets.

I called the office to pay a bill. The front desk person was nice but put me on hold for like five minutes then hung up on me. I called back and the receptionist apologized for the hang up. She stated that they were having phone issue. I asked to speak to the manager and he cleared everything up and took the payment over the phone. He was very understanding and professional.

Weve been patients at Champion Wood Animal Hospital for more than 15 years with two miniature schnauzers. The office staff is always pleasant and helpful. Dr. O is the best and he will spend as much time with you as you need. We just had Bailees teeth cleaned this week and the experience from scheduling to pick up was great. Highly recommend this office!
