Cannot begin to say how very DISAPPOINTED & UPSET my husband and I are over how our Max and Jaxson were treated over the Labor Day weekend ! When we picked them up this morning they had been left closed in the suite for such long periods that they had urinated multiple times all over their beds, I can only imagine what we didnt see. Both were extremely thirsty, actually drank two bowls of water upone arriving home.These two have been going to this vet clinic since they were tiny pups, in fact they use to go once a week to have baths. (We stopped and our groomer now comes to our home) They have been boarded there in the past we always get them a suite to try to be sure they are comfortable and have as little stress as possible. THIS MUST HAVE BEEN THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE STRESSFUL 4 DAYS OF THEIR 7 YEAR LIVES!!!! We are very conscientious pet owners they have been seen and treated by the vets here their entire lives, needless to say they will never be subjected to being boarded at Jersey Village Animal hospital EVER again. Their treatment of our pets was dispicable and cruel. PLEASE FIND ALTERNATIVE CARE FOR YOUR PET. No animal should be neglected in this manner.

I came in once, so maybe Im dead wrong about this place, but Im not sticking around to find out. I had my dogs anal glands done (always a great thing to discuss on the Internet) and was charged $80. I didnt have them polished or bedazzled, just expressed. Thats it. I didnt even see a vet. The tech did it. Speaking of the tech, that girl was very nice (which I would NOT be nice to someone who made me squeeze their squirming animals butt gland that was loaded with sand-textured fish stink... so, that was nice. The reception girl; however, was less than pleasant, but to be fair I did interrupt her game of Candy Crush. Lastly, I had to take my dog back to a different vet 8 days later because she was still dragging her butt around. They told me it didnt look like her glands had been done in a long time. Maybe they just filled up fast, I dont know. This has never been the case before. Either way, Im not paying $80 for that again.

I have been a customer of Jersey Village Animal Hospital for over 14 years and even when I moved further away I never considered any other hospital. Over the years I have met with every doctor and I found them all to be very knowledgeable and felt like they truly cared about my pet. When my dog was very sick a night emergency clinic said that he needed to be put down. I make an appointment the next morning with Jersey Village and they treated my dog who lived another 4 years in good health. When and if the time comes that I can open my heart to another precious animal, I will consult with them and use them exclusively. I believe this animal clinic is superior because the doctors are truly passionate about what they do and are always looking at the latest technologies and medicines that would benefit their animal patients.

We relocated to Houston with our almost 16 y/o dog not too long ago. One of my first priorities when I arrived was to find a great veterinary clinic where I knew my dog would be provided excellent care. From the minute I visited the clinic and had an opportunity to speak with some of the staff, I was impressed with their friendliness, cleanliness and sincere concern for not only my dog, but the others in the waiting area as well. When we recently had to put our beloved dog to rest, we once again experienced the exceptional and compassionate care shown to us by Dr. Justus and the staff. We cannot say enough how thankful we are for having found Jersey Village Animal Hospital, Dr. Justus and their staff. I would highly recommend them to anyone - and without any hesitation whatsoever.

JVAH is the best! They have helped us through our GSP breaking his leg at 6 months and also fighting a tenacious infection that had the side of his head swollen so much it was like he had a grapefruit under his ear when he was less than 2 years. Hes 7 years old now. They have always been honest and similar to other comments posted, they are compassionate and allow you to make informative health decisions about the care of your pet instead of pressuring you. Another vet charged us excessively for tests and medicine ($500+) and then told us - after we paid for those bills - that our golden might live another 6 months. We ended up putting him to sleep rather than continue to pay for care that was not going to change anything. Referred to JVAH and have NEVER regretted it.

Good doctors is the only thing why I will continue have deals with this clinic. The kennel service is the worst that I have seen. If you have a dog bigger than chihuahua NEVER let them to care about it. Personnel afraid of big breeds and do not know how handle them. I left my dog only for two nights there and according his condition he was in the Hell. He was filthy, exhausted and under the influence of sedatives. They took away his bedding and toys that we have left - of course he was aggressive! He thought that he was robbed... I am very dissatisfied customer who has an extremely low opinion about personnel of kennel :-(

I have brought my pets to JV Animal Hospital since they first opened in the old location. Mike Shawhan and his staff are the best and have always taken excellent care of my pets. The Vets and technicians are kind and compassionate and their love for animals is very apparent. I have boarded my dogs there many times and they have been well taken care of. The Vets have cried with me during hard times when a beloved pet became ill in senior years. They are one of the finest vet clinics in the state and I recommend them highly.

I have been using Dr. Shawhan and his staff for almost 20 years. He has taken care of my 90 lb. Golden Retriever, Shelties and now Chi! If there is a health issue that other vets just cannot seem to remedy....Dr. Shawhan will think "out of the box" and get to it! I will ONLY use Dr. Shawhan for any and all surgeries on my pets current and in the future as he is rated one of the top veterinary surgeons in Texas! Beautiful facility and wonderful staff makes the experience worth the 45 min. drive for me!

JVAH saved my dog, Millie. She had chewed up a sago palm trying to get a lizard. I made the decision to drive her from Santa Fe for hospitalization. After hours of care, we got Millie back. I can never repay them for the care they gave to her. It was top notch! The doctor called me morning and night to give me updates on her progress. The drive north was well worth the care we received. Hopefully, we will not need emergency care again, but if we do, I will choose the drive to JVAH!!

There are so many exceptional qualities to share - top notch vets who are extremely compassionate, front desk staff and vet techs who truly love what they are doing, and a practice manager who is always willing to listen to concerns and address promptly and professionally. I cant think of a better place for a 4-legged family member to get quality vet care and TLC.
