I saw Dr. Cimino because I had a lot of sensitivity. Before the appointment, he sat down with me and told me that my sensitivity and prior history of migraines was probably because my bite was not even between all my teeth. He wanted to file down some of my teeth so the bite was more level... which is a $2,000 out of pocket procedure. He suggested this procedure without even looking at my teeth. Once he got me in a chair, he then told me I had 5 cavities (which is likely where the sensitivity was coming from, not from my bite). When I came back to fill the cavities, it took him 2 and a half hours. He spent the first hour on one tooth, and the second hour and a half on the other 4. Towards the end of the procedure, the numbing was starting to wear off. I told him I was in pain, and his response was "Im almost done." He did not numb me again. The last 10 minutes were agonizing. This happened a while back, and today I went in to a different dentist for a cleaning. They told me that the filling previously done by Dr. Cimino had eroded away, or fallen out, and that the resin was discolored. The doctor told me "I have no idea what the previous dentist did, but this isnt right." I now have to go in for another filling to correct Dr. Ciminos work. Dr. Cimino has given me a fear of dentists and of fillings that will not go away any time soon.

I saw Dr. Cimino for a small break on my bridge. That bridge was about 20 years old. After a lot of pain and being injected through the muscle, he replaced it at about $3,400 (this did include his insurance for a year). After 17 months of pain and seeing him up until the bridge was 12 months old, I was still in pain. Being a senior, I did not have insurance but did have a discount plan which he does not use. I saw another dentist that told me the bridge either not placed or made correctly. She suggested I go back to my insurance company (I paid using credit card) I tried to see him to let him look at it and since I refused to pay him $121.00 to see him....he sent the young lady out to tell me "there is nothing wrong with that bridge and that I needed to see another doctor to get a root canal in the front tooth (which already had a root canal). He would not see me. I could see the way the bridge fit in the x-rays and you could clearly tell that the front tooth was beginning to decay due to this bridge not fitting correctly. Im getting another another bridge which has a warranty for 5 years. I wonder if the other bridge had any kind of bridge. My final appointment with him ended by him telling me that the pain was probably caused by a small fracture in the back tooth that he could not see.
