I seriously should have listened to the other reviewers. The staff is absolutely horrid at this vision clinic. We never even got to see the doctor and we wont be returning so whether or not his "awesomeness" is worth putting up with the staff Ill never know. Called to schedule an appointment and the earliest they could get my daughter in (she broke her glasses) was a week from the call. Okay it was the only place I knew of that took her insurance and the location was convenient-ish. I work in Houston but live in Tomball. I bent over backwards and drove like hell all the way from Houston to Tomball, took time off work and picked up my daughter from school, had someone drive from magnolia to look after her younger brothers to make the appointment, got there with one minute to spare. Walked in and the "Receptionist" with what appeared to be prison style tattoos on her arms (no i dont have issues with tattoos, I have some myself...I dislike her unclassy appearance) and some serious attitude gave my daughter and I serious stink eye before she even asked why we were there. I told her my daughter has an appointment at 3:00, she asked her name with all the attitude she could muster and looked her up. She then tells me that "Uh no... thats next Tuesday at 4:00". I told her no that I made the appointment for today at 3:00 she repeated that it was next week at 4:00. I was beyond pissed, I left without saying a word. My first thought was screw them I wont cancel that appointment. Let them deal with the empty time slot. Then I realized they had her insurance information and would probably bill for the appointment anyway and then wed be up a creek and unable to get my daughters new prescription. so I called to cancel the appointment with as much politeness as I could muster, I asked the girl on the phone if it was common practice to change appointments after they were made. She was polite until then and she denied that it was and it must have been a miscommunication. Im sure what she meant to say is that it was a mistake on their part, because it was. In closing, dont bother unless you can stand ignorant people with serious attitude problems.

November 12 I had an eye exam, ordered two pairs of glasses, one regular glasses, and one pair of Ray Bans, and was told the store would call me when ready, They called me 11-23 and my mother picked up the pair of regular glasses. She asked about the sunglasses and was told they were not ready, After not hearing anything from the store, I went in Dec. 17, and was told sunglasses had already been picked up. One clerk remembered my mother coming in and getting the regular glasses, and a second clerk said the sun glasses were picked up later that same day by someone else. Was told a mgr would call me next week. After thinking about this suspicious event, I called them later that day to cancel the order and request a credit to my card. They were very accusing towards me, said I was notified to pick up the glasses Dec 7 and that I had picked them up, despite my objections that I was not notified and did not pick up the glasses, I asked again for a credit to my AMEX and they refused, Told them I would contact AMEX, and they responded OK and hung up, They owe me $383.20, and I will pursue action against them, There appears to be a thief here, but it is not this customer,

I was disappointed because I thought I had found the right Optician for my family. The contact lens counter and the girls working there were friendly, efficient and helpful. They were able to fill my contact order and give me a demo pair to get by, very nice! However, when I brought my son back to choose his glasses, the FRAMES department was an entirely different story. There was one nicer, older woman helping us but she was talked over and interrupted by a loud and rude younger woman with black dreadlocks and a major narcissistic attitude. Seems this woman knows everything there is to know...about everything. Anyway, it was so bad that well never be back. Im an alternative guy beneath my work clothes and dont have any prejudices with dreadlocks, mohawks, LGBT, full tattoos or whatever. But if youre going to be an annoying sociopath who must be the center of everyones universe, do us a favor and get out of retail. Maybe Hot Topic.

Luckily I didnt read any reviews before I decided my husband and I should go with this particular vision clinic. Mia, the front desk/exam assistant, was wonderful and we immediately took to her. She welcomed us right in, assisted us with everything (neither of us have been to an eye doctor in years), as if wed known her our entire lives; you simply cant get more friendlier than her. The greatness didnt end with Mia, Dr. Ditta was amazing as well. He answered every question we had and took great care to explain things we couldnt understand. 2 weeks later, we went back to get glasses and that lady, her name escapes me, was really friendly and competent as well! I dont know who the previous employees were that everyone else in the past were talking about, but Im glad I chose to go here now and not before. I love that we wont have to search for another vision center. Thanks everyone!

Doctor is great! Staff on both sides extremely unfriendly and rude. Took my daughter there because I had a good experience taking my prescription to them from the Va across the street. When we arrived, receptionists were extremely rude and unfriendly. They tried to charge me for a service I didnt receive and when I asked them about it, they said they always write that down. Probably means they always overcharge too. Glasses for my daughter are made on site and the person that does that is out sick. So no back up person to do that job. Daughter needs glasses for school. When I called about that, they could not give me any time frame when glasses would be ready. When I continued to pinpoint a time, they said I dont know. Just really poor customer service and incompetent. Wont go there again and will ensure none of my family and friends go there either.

LOVE Dr. Ditta! He has been taking care of our eyes for a couple of years now and he is always very thorough! My son recently had his eyes checked and the entire appointment went very smoothly! I love that he has the most up to date instruments when checking different aspects of your vision! So much nicer than some of the instruments used by other vision clinics! Found the office staff very patient and friendly and the eyeglass specialists very knowledgeable and helpful ... LOVE my new glasses! Was given a due date of when my glasses would be ready and they were ready several days early! Definitely going back!

Tomball Vision Clinic was very helpful, I was recommended TVC by some of my coworkers and was very pleased. Dr. Stephen Ditta was kind and explained the answers to my questions very clearly, not once dis he make me feel rushed. Debra was a nice lady that helped me as well, when it came to selecting my glasses and what lenses would work best for me Debra was a great help.Debra not only explained what all the different options were she broke them down by pricing and what my insurance was covered and what would work best in my career field. Very pleased with the service I received at Tomball vision clinic.
