I had a strange experience with this office. I have 3 children and had to switch pediatric dentists when my insurance at work changed. Dr. Blackwelder asked me who our previous dentist was and then spent the majority of our time there telling me how great my previous dentist is?! I told him I agreed but that they no longer took my insurance. He just kept on telling me what a shame it was and that I should really try to see my previous dentist again. It gave both myself and my oldest daughter an uncomfortable feeling. Like we were not wanted at their office. For the most part the assistants in the back were great!! LOVED them. But one of the ladies in the front was not very helpful when she was trying to book another appt. She was not accommodating at all. I made future appointments but Im going to look for someone else. (Well as you can see in their response and that written to other reviews, the issues is not addressed..just a generic response)

I am related to Aaron Blackwelder and as a parent of three children I am writing this review to let the parents in Waco know that Aaron and Waco Kids Dental are a top pick when selecting a pediatric dentist in Waco Texas. I met Aaron when he was just starting college and from the beginning he always wanted to both help children and become a dentist. He earned amazing grades in all his classes through school and graduated from a top college and dental school. He also took time to work for many different dentists and learned all he could about being a great dentist. Prior to opening his practice, Aaron has worked in major dentist offices and has always been well respected by his partners and clients. Aaron is very trustworthy, honest, very loving and friendly with kids, extremely charitable, well experienced, and a leader in his field. I recommend Aaron to any parent in Waco who is looking for a pediatric dentist.

Doctor Aaron Blackwelder is amazing! My son has always hated the dentist, but when he was with Dr. Blackwelder, he actually cooperated, and didnt scream and struggle (or try to bite the dentist), like weve had a problem with before. Dr. Blackwelder has an amazing ability with children! We think hes great! Hes one of the few dentists I totally trust with my kids. The office is also very inviting. It has such cute paints, murals, and other decor.

Dr. Blackwelder is everything you would want in a dentist. Right from the start he wanted to make sure I felt at home and that all my needs were meet. He was very careful and precise when cleaning my teeth. I was also very impressed with the office staff, they were both friendly and very helpful. The dental office itself was very clean and kid friendly.

My son had an awesome visit. He is 2.5 years old and was very scared at first, but after Dr. Blackwelder showed him all the fun rooms, toys, gave him a free tooth brush, and explained to him what his teeth needed, Samuel became his greatest fan. Id recommend all parents to try out Dr. Blackwelder at Waco Kids Dental. Your kids will love him!

Weve gone one time so far,and I absolutely loved it! They give the kids tokens and they can get prizes (not candy, small toys - so possible choking hazard). The staff made me and my kids feel really comfortable. We will be going back for sure!

Dentist is nice but all the help/assistants are so rude!!!! I will be finding a new dentist. My girls deserve better. Telling them that not flossing good enough is like not washing their BUTT!?!?! Seriously??? So unprofessional too.
